Wolfpox's Super Prediction!! (big time spoilers)

Are you feeling SSSUUUUPPEEEERRRR!!?? I sure am!! Try to follow along here because I don't have much time at the moment… I'll elaborate later on!

I am loosely predicting the following...

• Gecko Moria uses the negative ghosts to fight.
• The negative ghosts are really the shadows he's stolen.
• Zombies are not affected by the negative ghosts.
• People will their shadows stolen are not affected by Blackbeard's black hole powers.
• Gecko Moria will steal Luffy's shadow.
• Blackbeard will finally hunt down Luffy in the Florian Triangle.
• Ace is dead, and Blackbeard has his body with him.
• Hogback will zombify Ace's dead body and revive him.
• Ace (now immune to the ghosts of Moria) will kill Gecko Moria
• Luffy (not immune to Blackbeard's black hole powers due to having his shadow stolen,) will kick Blackbeard's ass.
• Blackbeard and Gecko Moria will thus be defeated in a very fateful way.
• Everyone will get their shadows back, and Brooke will join the crew permenantly as a musician.
• Ace will be revived, but might lose his fire powers, since zombies are afraid of fire.

I know it's wild, but that's what I call a Super Prediction!! What do you guys think? Is it just crazy enough to work? Please be constructive and share in the love of predicting what Oda will do!

That prediction is quite awesome, though I don't think it will happen, and I don't think Ace would have wanted to be revived and especially not to a zombie.

I doubt Blackbeard will face Luffy until the very end (or near the end) of the series. Oda has been building Blackbeard (and Ace) since Drum Arc, he will not be defeated now, and he is an opponent in "Whitebeard/Shanks" level, as even Shanks has fears about him.

Theories like that seriously make me wonder if people even know what shadows are. First people think the invisible creature that attacked Nami was Brooks shadow, now a ghost is supposed to be shadow of beaten people.

Seriously guys this is a shadow. It is clearly defined what a shadow makes. Being invisible is not one of their attributes. Neither being transparent three dimensional thingies with faces. I´m not trying to implement real world physics with a fictional environment, all I´m saying that whatever the big deal about the shadow stealing is, the shadows will appear as SHADOWS. Whether or not they have their own will or not remains to be seen. But they will most definitely not appear as something they are clearly not: invisible or transparent beings.

The invisible dude is Absalom, the ghost is Perona. And they are two creatures that appeared in so many other stories in which shadow stealing never played any role. Why does the shadow stealing stuff gets constantly connected to these stand alone characters? :wassat:

and ace...dont think hes death...he gaves luffy this paper so they must meet again...or maybe he will die when luffy stands before him and so luffy gets superpower against BB (but such important charas oda dont let die) nono luffy and ace said they will fight against each other and thats what i think also up to now.. I believe ace got crushed by BB power and so he wasnt able to fight back against BB but he survived and was just only knocked-out for a while....
so BB thought he killed ace and so the new era started cause everybody believed ace was death...
but than ace comes to luffy in the new world(cause of the paper) and the story continued...

I disagree with the Negative Ghosts being the shadows. Not at all.
Expecially when I saw them duplicating when dancing [did I get that right?]. It could be Perona's ability alone, and whoever fights him has to get over that. However, I do see the rest of the theory. Why not?

I don't like the idea of Ace being revived as Zombie, but I can't drop it because of that. It's still very possible, Oda's shown us he can be dramatic on a full arc at the WG saga and Drum Island, which was also the start of BB's character.

Hm… Blackbeard will fight Luffy soon, for sure. Of course, it won't be their last battle.

But I was thinking of ways Luffy could get away from Blackbeard, once found. The only thing I could think of, which was likely to happen, was for Luffy to be saved by someone during battle. However, Luffy losing his shadow is a way for him to stay safe against Blackbeard in their first battle, so that both remain alive to fight again in the new world.

But I doubt Blackbeard will find and fight Luffy in Thriller Bark or near it.

I don't think Ace and Blackbeard are going to be involved on this island…but then I again I could be wrong, since I also said that I don't think any shichibukai would appear on the island and I was wrong...who would guess that some entirely new shichibukai would appear.

yeah, this scooby doo story was just ok to me until I read about Gecko Moria being a shichibukai, then i became all excited. i definitely didn't expect it and i'm happy Oda can still pull those 180s on me.

Interesting theories wolfpox's, but definitely nothing spoilerish about them. just your opinions. i liked your theory about moria using the negative ghosts to fight, and that perhaps the zombies aren't affected by the negative ghosts. everything else is kinda left field. i'd expect Oda to hold off on any new information about BB and Ace until at least this Florian Triangle arc is over.

Very interesting prediction, though I have to agree with everyone else, Ace and BB probably won't show up for awhile. Still it'll be interesting to see if any of your guesses where correct (I could see the ghosts not working on the zombies, though I don't think they'll be how Gecko fights).

Anyway, since Gecko Moria steals shadows, I had to think of some way that it would relate to what he's currently doing. If the ghosts were his eyes and ears, maybe he gains power by stealing shadows, and somehow converts that power to empower the ghosts or something... Like I said, it's a "loose" prediction.

And I think that this would be the perfect opportunity to revive somebody, since Hogback can do that, and since Ace may have died.... it could happen. And since Blackbeard is chasing Luffy, it's possible for them to meet there.

I didn't know anything about Absolom or Perona, although I remember the names, so I won't say too much about it. The stuff about the ghosts is really besides the point. Although I think there will be a connection between shadows, Blackbeard's power, the ghosts, zombies and Gecko Moria's powers.

I made the theory without thinking too much about it, just connecting everything in an ironic way I guess. Nevetheless... I put my heart into it and so I can still call it Super!

Think along the lines of "What is the trick to beating Blackbeard?" and "How will Luffy beat Blackbeard?" and you'll see that it is possible that not having the "shadow" affects things.

Don't forget, when Moria steals your shadow, he also apparently steals your reflection, and causes you to burn to death when in the sunlight. There is much more to it than just blocking light. Something happens inside a person that affects their existance in the physical world.

I already predicted that Blackbeard would come to the Florian Triangle to fight Luffy, and that his darkness powers would be magnified by the dark/foggy environment. Now it just becomes perfect timing, because he can bring Ace's dead body, and Hogback can revive him. The fire/zombie thing will be interesting, since Ace would be scared of fire, whereas before he was made out of it.

I'm trying to think like Oda, and tie everything together in an ironic way. He'll find a way to explain everything nicely, if he did this.

and if you meant Luffy is Immune to blackbeard, what does no shadow luffy have to do with being immune to blackbeard. blackbeards' "blackhole" power is.... like a blackhole, it sucks everything in. it doesn't just suck shadows in.

Personally, I think the reason Ace lost his powers when Blackbeard sucked him in has less to do with the Yami Yami Fruit's gravitational control and more to do with the info Lucci dropped about consuming two Devil Fruits: being in such close contact with Teach's 'devil' caused Ace's 'devil' to react negatively and stop working while Ace was inside the vortex. Since they are still seperate entities, neither of them exploded. This does not suffice to explain why Teach's 'devil' continued to function normally. Perhaps because Teach was doing the absorbing? If Ace had enveloped Teach with his flame body, would Teach's 'devil' have faltered? I don't know.

While you do make a good point about the loss of the shadow having a profound effect on the victim, it does not change the fact that they are still composed of matter. If they were not, then Nami's kick should not have connected with Brook's head. Therefore, these shadowless persons would still be drawn in to the vortex Teach creates with his DF, since it creates a higher gravitational field than the shadowless person possesses. These shadowless persons essentially absorb most of the light hitting them, which is why they don't have a reflection. This is also why they spontaneously combust when exposed to strong sunlight; it is simply too much energy for their cells to absorb safely. I put "most" in bold and italics to emphasize that I do NOT mean "all". If they absorbed all of the light around them, they would look like shadows themselves. It seems there must be some 'absorption threshold' which, once passed, prevents the shadowless person from absorbing more light, allowing the remainder to reflect off of their bodies and prevent them from looking pitch black to observers. This light absorption might also cause a disruption in the photons surrounding them, causing them to have no shadow.

Well, that's my theory anyway. As to the Blackbeard Pirates catching up to the Strawhats in the Florian Triangle, it's hard to say; Hogback could not have had time to set up another signal flare yet, and unless he has several of them in position around the Triangle's perimeter, it's doubtful he could capture them. Besides, the bay in front of Thriller Bark is pretty full right now. Unless Teach has a small boat, there wouldn't be room to berth next to Thousand Sunny and the Ghost Ship.

Not bad thinking, but one problem: If their bodies absorbed light, they would still have a shadow because they would still block the path of light.

I think you are misunderstanding blackbeard's fruit. The power to control gravity would not be affected by the amount of light in the environment nor any characteristic that could control whether an individual has a shadow or not. The idea of a zombie ace is an interesting one though. It's certainly possible, but it doesn't match the mood of the series in my point of view.

Luffy simply has to beat the crap out of him that´s all. Don´t forget that Blackbeard takes damage unlike other logia users. So if whatever Luffy throws at him is strong enough to take him down then Luffy wins.

Blackbeards not only dangerous because of his DF ability but also because he´s insanely strong. Ace was throwing very strong attacks at him and other then "hot hot hot" he didn´t seem to suffer much. Shadows wouldn´t change anything there. Just brute strenght and power could really hurt him.

Here is a prediction: after this arc both Luffy and Zoro will have the ability to fight logia as they can they an fight and defeats ghost. I think the one the real purpose of this is to give SH an avenues to defeat logia.

I totally agree with that. Things that people are forgetting is that this is the Grand Line where the Strawhats are now. A place with a freakish environment but also with freakish beings (creature and characterwise). In East Blue Luffy just assembled humans, but in the Grand Line two out of three are "freaks" already (as it also was stated by Sanji in this very chapter).

Before Franky joined Chopper often looked out of place because the other six where more or less similar to each other anatomywise. With Franky now we already have two random things. If Brook joins then its three already. And the remaining two I´m sure will also be "freaks" which would make Luffys crewmates consist of 5 humans and 5 "random things". The question is what kind of freaks could they be? I´m sure that with the next island a fishman will join. In a story like One Piece it would simply be unfitting if not at least one fishman joins the crew.

What the last other creature can be, that´s hard to tell. The other creatures we´ve seen so far introduced in OP are 1. Monkeys (like Masira, Shojo and Hamburg), 2. Giants 3. Manchines (like Spacey who came from Machine island) and 4. Aliens (like the Space Pirates). # 4 is totally unlikely IMO but #´s 1-3 are likely to happen. Though if it is a giant then he should have eaten a shrinking fruit to fit on Sunny.

No BB for a while, this arc is its own thing, and I think its good, cause they seem to be kinnda out of the loop of anything going out in the outside world, thats why I hope there is a war starting out there, and when they come out of there they will be thrown right in it.

I kind of agree with somewhere above that this arc could be the time to force the SH crew to come up with a general counter strategy against Logia, because we can say the ghosts are very similar in that they are not susceptible to physical attacks either.

As for the new crew, I too hope for a gyojin addition. It's like finally adding strength to water battles, or else for the current SH crew: out of 8 people, 3 people are so dead in water; so you can't expect them to fight well when they have to take care of their nakamas at the same time.

Moria uses shadows to keep himself immortal and gets power from the shadows. Luffy loses to him, but still somehow gets his shadow, Brook joins the crew and they leave. Moria decides that with a shadow as strong as Luffy's, he could be the kaizaigou, and sets after him at the arcs very end. That's what I think.

It´s not about the fights actually, it´s just weird that in a pirate story swimming rarely gets the spotlight. And in a pirate manga that takes place in a world where fishmen exist it is really isn´t too far fetched that a fishmen will join such a fantastic group of protagonists like the Strawhats.

Why do you criticize the "liklihood" of this prediction? Everything here is not only possible, but would tie up a lot of loose ends and add an irony to the situation. I think it's better to enjoy these kinds of things!

What does it help to say, "Blackbeard isn't going to show up, because…" If Oda wants to do it, he'll do it, and he'll make it a surprise so you won't expect it. And if he wants to make Ace die, and then become a zombie, he'll do it, and he'll do it in a cool way that will make you appreciate it. I know it sounds dumb when you write it out in point form, but so would a lot of stuff in One Piece if you wrote it in point form. I get hyped thinking into what could happen..... XD

There are a lot of questions we should be asking, like "what does moria do with the shadows?" since obviously they can be returned if you defeat him, and they probably do something in the meanwhile. Maybe it has something to do with Abadon or whatever that negative ghost is, or maybe he has uses it to animate the zombies, which Hogback takes credit for. Who knows! But there has to be some reason.

Also, where is Blackbeard, who won the fight, and what if Ace actually died? You have a guy here who can revive people, so... perfect opportunity. And you have to admit that Ace being afraid of fire is the ultimate irony. I can see Oda doing it, whether he makes it funny or very sad I can't say.

Anyway, I just had to make these predictions so that if they're true, I'll feel like a genius who understands what Oda is doing!! :D
