Well, come here to discuss any upcoming new anime you are awaiting for this Spring season, with most new ones beginning to air in April.

Oh how lolis grow up so fast. it was only that Nanoha and Fate were only 9 in the 1st two seasons of Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha. I swear, 19-year old Nanoha and Fate has to be one of the most awesome things ever to happen in moe history and the new characters seem pretty awesome too.

Oh how could I not forget this. Nagi being voiced by Rie Kugimiya should be fun and I am having high hopes if this anime comedy to live up to its manga ^__^

I am highly anticipating this anime… I hope it captures the spirit of the manga, like the Reborn! anime does. Lately, I've had a fleeting interest in new anime. It seems that certain titles (ie. Deathnote & D.Gray-Man), while being incredible in manga form, have proven to be less than lackluster in anime form.

The main ones I plan on following are Hayate the Combat Butler and Bokurano.

Other than that, I'll probably check out Claymore, GeGeGe No Kitaro, Blue Dragon and Skull Man.

That fact that it's being made instead of an addition to the OAV series is plenty reason to neglect its existence

Oh, the new one? Yeah, I'll probably watch if I have time. Too bad it's not related to the 1992-1998 OVA series though and doesn't have Imagawa as the director. Instead it's supposed to be based on the original manga. It might still be good though, I was just slightly disappointed when I read about it. I doubt it will be able to compare to the OVA though.

Well, I've read various things. Not sure what the real reason is though.

But here's the titles of the others that were planned:

_- I wish you wouldn't just stop with the "Day the Earth Stood Still" chapter of the "Giant Robo" series, but would go on by any means and make time to animate the rest of it.

I'd love to make "The Birth of Zangetsu the Midday" and show it to everyone. Also, "The Plan to Assassinate Daisaku - the Canary Penitentiary", "The Boy of Three Days", "The Greatest Battle in History - Kanshin vs. Koumei", "The Boy Detective, Kindaiichi Shoutarou, Appears!", and "The Siege of Babel."_

Also, another was to be titled "The Domino Operation". By the way, these aren't just titles for episodes. "The Day the Earth Stood Still" was the title for the entire OVA series that was made (which was 7 episodes). So these are the titles of planned storylines (but who knows how many episodes they were intended to be).

I know "The Siege of Babel" would have been the last chapter. "The Domino Operation" was supposed to have Cervantes and stuff. "Birth of Zangetsu" would probably be an origin story for Zangetsu.

One more question:

Well, one was the original dub from when it was coming out on VHS tapes. The other was the new dub for the DVDs. You can watch the old dub by going to the extras on the DVD I think.

By the way, there's also two different subtitled versions. The VHS subtitles are different from the DVD subtitles. The old VHS subtitles aren't available on the DVDs though, only the new ones.

I am really excited about Claymore and Devil May Cry. I also know I am going to at least start watching Romeo and Juliet with my Girlfriend even if we don't finish it.

I'll check out Bokurano and maybe Claymore, but apart from that honestly nothing even perks my interest.

Both of those titles are mostly simply because I wanna see what they make of the original manga, but I think Bokurano could honestly be very good if done well. Claymore basically depends on how spiffy the animation is.

Defintely checking out as well besides StrikerS and Hayate no Gotoku…

Ugh, I HATE Claymore! It's so stupid! Hayate is the only thing out of all of these that I'm somewhat excited about.

I got to admit, it didn't appeal to me as much as any usual shounen manga did. I'm only trying the anime out to see if it redeems but I doubt it.

Despite Combat Buttler in the title, its hardly serious or action. PURE comedy I can say after reading two volumes.

That's reason enough for me to skip the anime, actually. Comedy doesn't typically translate well from the page to the screen; it usually ends up feeling way too drawn out (especially in Toei products. Who's animating it, anyway?).

I didn't like Claymore too much at first, but I bought the first three volumes so I read past the first volume and half way through volume 3 it did a 360 and got very good.

ok, i downloaded nearly every new serie subbed this week end and watched a few. the new gainax, which name is pretty hard to remember seems pretty interesting. i hope it'll become a must see really soon. claymore has potential but it's giving us a plot already seen countless times. so i'll give it 4 or 5 eps to see if i'll watch it. heroic age… well. i guess i'll try it but i kinda know how it'll turn out and i might stop watching it pretty soon. i've erased a few ones already so i don't remember their names, but a few ones about "slice of life" look good. i'll try them. and finally, moonlight mile. the anime with the biggest potential. it can turn out into a reference. it can also become what i expected from planetES before the main character turned out into such an annoying girl.

well, what do you guys thing you'll follow this year? also, my favorite right now is nodame candabile. i LOVE this show. it's fun, i love the characters, nodame makes such great noises, and come on, it's about classic music, so it's amazing!

I must say, so far, my top 2 favorites after watching are Hayate no Gotoku and StrikerS.

Claymore ep 1 was excellent. Hopefully the quality is consistent, but I find it much more appealing than the manga (i only read first chapter tho) and will continue to follow this one.

Hayate! The Combat Butler is hilarious. Definitely a pleasant surprise to see it lived up to its hype.

I haven't seen all of the series I've wanted to yet but here's what I think so far.
Hayate the Combat Butler: Awsome, funny and great animation. This is one of my favorite animes of the year so far!!
Mahou Shojo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS: The first episode was kindof slow but I think it will turn out to be a great action show.
Idolmaster XENOGLOSSIA: Confusing (but all mecha shows are) It looks promising though.
Claymore: Also looks promising.

That's all I've seen so far. There's still some more shows that look interesting though.

I don't know about beautiful girls but, I do agree with you about the rest of the stuff igalsfy. It looks like an awsome series, so I can't wait to watch more!!
(sigh So many animes…so little time)

I like the part where Hayate is a Combat Butler. Surprisingly funny show. I totally dug the Black Lagoon and One Piece spoofs in the second episode.

Darker than Black is pretty sweet as well. It's good to see BONES back on track with something that just oozes cool.

Bokurano may have some potential if it ends up anything like Ender's Game, but the animation and CG didn't impress me in the first ep. Why GONZO?
