Every other place on the internet that I go to that implements that system has regretted it in the end.
Its just a bad bad idea on the internet and its great that its not here and I hope it never will be.

Over at Bleach Forums, we had a similar problem. People were either spamming the system to give good rep, or ganging up to rep the living bejeezus out of some poor schmuck. I don't believe we'll be implementing it, so… Eh. It's a good thought to keep in mind.

Rep is like reputation that some forums have. Each post you make has a rep button. People can give you good rept and negative rep based on how they feel about your post. This changes your reputation points, which is nothing more than a simple feature to gawk at. There are various levels of reputation, both good levels and bad levels. Each level comes with a custom title and a number of bars representing your rank.
And I'm glad we don't have rep here. Otherwise, we'd have people getting thousand of reputation points for acting like assholes.

It's system where you can give other members "reputation points" depending on whether you like their post. Let's say I liked the post you just made Ivotas, I could give you a certain number of rep points.

Yeah, rep is pointless. For every person that uses rep properly, there's someone abusing it. The way I see it, it would be just another thing mods/admin have to keep tabs on to make sure people aren't using reps to flame people or just because they don't like the person.

the place isn't all that bad, you just have to avoid certain forums, Fanclub forums, Naruto theory board etc.
and if you want to spread the love for good series theres ALOT of users there and not all of them are biased assholes

NF forums isn't bad, I just don't like some aspects of it. moderation is way too lenient for one thing. A troll starts a thread and it stays open. He comes back over and over again and starts identical threads and they all stay open.

printscreen is right next to the f12 button on my keyboard, but it could be different on another one.

Some computers, such as my laptop, don't have a printscreen button. Maybe Aldrich's computer doesn't have one either.

I think neg repping is the pettiest, most short dicked thing ever, especially as it's often completely anonymous. It has a "I'm calling the police" feeling, if you disagree with the guy's post just tell him on the forum instead of leaving some red turd on his immaculate green floor.

I think most neg rep is given when someone doesn't like another's attitude. That's the only reason I've ever given negative rep to anyone on NF.

Meh, they don't stay open forever or anything. And I think the reason the trolls keep coming back is because for some odd reason Tazmo has the board set to where you can't IP ban people, meaning the mods can't IP ban trolls. They can permaban accounts, but all the troll has to do is make another account and continue.
Anyway, personally I like having a rep system, but yeah it gets abused a lot.

I love getting reputation, but people don't know how to work it properly, your not suppose to rep people unless the have a good post, just because your their friends, doesn't mean you give him free reps, thats what I do at my forums!
Everytime when you get rep your bars go up, then your reputation will change.
For example:
0 Bars- This member is shy as Chopper
7 Bars- This member is a Pirate who sets sail and never abanddon there crew!But that doesn't need to be in the forums, reputation tells how the members are, but we all know mostly all people here are friendly. I hope:ninja:

Yeah reps are fine as long as people dont abuse it. I also wonder what my rep would be at this forum. I am nice in all my posts but people dont always agree with me particular my opinion of Sasuke.
NF has some very good posts and posters but alot of the good threads get overlooked by the bad ones. I wish the mods were strict like they were here, so the quality would be high. With NF, it is quanity over quality. I know some of the NF mods are on this site, so be stricter over there please.
