i really think Usopp should get a DF
he is just so powerless
if u were to choose one for him what would it be?
i would like a zoan tbh…

If you consider One Piece is a manga that revolves around dream, it makes perfect sense.
So if they didn't say they wanted to get stronger they don't have a dream and/or can't get stronger?
But why would they decide to go there?
Any viable reason Oda would decide to bring them back in to the story.
You're just like the Perona fans thinking the whole process of a character development will occur off-screen. That's not how Oda usually does.
The difference here is I'm making a prediction on certain things when they do return. Not talking about character development off screen which wouldn't necessarily be needed for their return in the first place.
You should give up Zik. You're like a Perona-supporter and Tsukishima can't see it happening. You're screwed.
@Zik:
So if they didn't say they wanted to get stronger they don't have a dream and/or can't get stronger?
If that was what they intended, they would have said it. There was absolutely no reason to hide their intention when they said good bye to the crew.
Not talking about character development off screen which wouldn't necessarily be needed for their return in the first place.
That would be necessary. Oda would have to explain why they decided to be stronger and why they decided to go to the NW.
Anyway, we haven't seen them for more 50 volumes, I can't imagine Oda will bring them back in the NW without foreshadowing it. Until this is done, I will consider they won't come back.
I hope that, when Luffy has become the Pirate King, they will return to East blue with the entire crew and they will meet Don Krieg with a new fleet. Than Ussop will say: I'll handle this guys, you just sit back, and Ussop bitchslaps the entire fleet within moments.
i always thought Johnny & Yosaku were just comedy relief lol i dunno if their gunna come back but i wouldnt rule it out
If that was what they intended, they would have said it. There was absolutely no reason to hide their intention when they said good bye to the crew.
So forget the part about them remaining bounty hunters? They'll always remain at the same strength level? Even after the time skip? They'll just eventually retire?
That would be necessary. Oda would have to explain why they decided to be stronger and why they decided to go to the NW.
Oda doesn't need to explain something as simple as the two bounty hunters Johnny & Yosaku went to the grand line and during their journeys of bounty hunting they got stronger because of it.
Anyway, we haven't seen them for more 50 volumes, I can't imagine Oda will bring them back in the NW without foreshadowing it. Until this is done, I will consider they won't come back.
That the Tenryubito have one member of they're extended family who is retardidly strong and fights powerful pirates for sport. And if he loses he knows he can just sick an Admiral on them and call it a day. Plus he actively takes a roll in the government while making fun of the 5 Elder Stars.

Clearly this man is an avatar of you, great Kin G. Berserk.
Clearly this man is an avatar of you, great Kin G. Berserk.
Clearly in my boredom of writing my book, I steal ideas from everything I do, but I often think up things I'd love to see in One Piece.
Clearly one should bow to the plus
@Zik:
So forget the part about them remaining bounty hunters?
No, I didn't forget this, but that never meant they intended to go to Grand Line.
They'll always remain at the same strength level?
They've never said they were going to work hard or things like that. There is no reason their strength should increase. I don't remember seeing any characters of a children's comic book becoming a lot stronger without saying he wanted to be stronger.
Even after the time skip?
Well there is still some chapters left before the timeskip, if we don't see them before, then you can be sure we won't see them in the NW.
They'll just eventually retire?
No, they said they will remain bounty hunters, so if Oda didn't forget they existed, they will probably make a little cameo appearance before the end of the manga. And we will see them fighting a weak pirate.
Oda doesn't need to explain something as simple as the two bounty hunters Johnny & Yosaku went to the grand line and during their journeys of bounty hunting they got stronger because of it.
Yeah, he needs it, there are children reading his comic + he loves giving obvious hints when he intends to use characters from previous arcs.
No, I didn't forget this, but that never meant they intended to go to Grand Line.
I didn't say that.
They've never said they were going to work hard or things like that.
Doesn't matter.
There is no reason their strength should increase.
Why is that? Growth and strength is strictly dependent on the need to say it for side characters?
I don't remember seeing any characters of a children's comic book becoming a lot stronger without saying he wanted to be stronger.
This is bullshit. You're treating Johnny & Yosaku like they're main characters or important side characters. An improvement in their strength could be attributed to them saying they felt inspired seeing how the SHs became more infamous with w/e they've done in the papers and instead of quitting their jobs opted to be better bounty hunters. That's a one page scene to explain why after they've returned and already displayed their growth why they're stronger than we last saw them.
Well there is still some chapters left before the timeskip, if we don't see them before, then you can be sure we won't see them in the NW.
Seeing them before is irrelevant. Oda can simply surprise the reader with their return.
No, they said they will remain bounty hunters, so if Oda didn't forget they existed, they will probably make a little cameo appearance before the end of the manga. And we will see them fighting a weak pirate.
LOL @ Oda forgot they existed. Especially after seeing how he's utilized ALL of his characters. We'll only see them end as a cameo and since you want them to remain where they are they'll be fighting a weak pirate.
Yeah, he needs it, there are children reading his comic + he loves giving obvious hints when he intends to use characters from previous arcs.
He doesn't need to explain that with foreshadowing at all. He can simply have them say that after they've already returned stronger than before. 2 bounty hunters getting stronger as they go isn't an ass pull nor is it hard for children to comprehend. Their strength wouldn't even be a huge topic of discussion just the fact that they returned. Every single thing isn't foreshadowed. You're focused on the wrong things. Especially if you're looking at this from a "this story is for children perspective"
On the subject of Usopp's lies becoming truths, what if he gains all of his followers (8k I believe?) as bugs/animals/plants/relatives of Heracles. Kinda silly but it's a possibility
I think Sanji got the idea of Diablo Jambe from when he fought the cp7 chef, he did the friction thing with his skates.
Sometimes I think each of the SH crew members will gather up people that will end up making the SH crew similar to the WB crew, where there's different divisions and each is a leader of a division. Like zoro recruiting the gorillas, usopp recruiting the bugs/animals like animegirl_117 stated, sanji recruiting some okamas, franky recruiting the robot animals.
I really doubt it though, I don't think they'd be focusing on recruiting new people, and I don't think they'd fit on the thousand sunny.
Which brings me to another theory i thought of just now xP What if Kuma does major damage to the SH ship, then when the SH meet again, franky repairs it and makes it bigger?
I think if Sanji is on the Okama Island, that he will end up coming up with other ways to attack without using his hands. Yes, he will still use his legs, but maybe he will learn how to Death Wink from Ivankov. It would be hilarious if he learned it and it used the eye he always has covered up. It might even give him the ability to actually fight a woman when he goes into his swooning.
Heya guys this is the first time iv been here..i looked around to find the best OP forum and this is it.anyways id like to share few of my predictions of my own hope they sound reasonable to you.
The strawhats will become successful in Raftel where others havent when the time comes because its ship Thousand Sunny shares the same secret weapon or defence mechanism as the only successfull ship in history the OroJackson. From watching the water seven arc,it was stated in many clues what was in the blueprint.from the start it was said to be a blueprint for some sort of ship that carried pluton an ancient weapon.later enies lobby when franky roasted it he revealed the blueprints for a device to resist the ancient weapon whatever it could be.It maybe that Tom built this device on the OroJack' and a generation later Franky must have built it also for the ThousSun'.Maybe there was more to what Franky ordered with the 200mill beli besides the adam wood for this ship.Think about it guys it only sounds logical because only one ship has ever sailed to the end of the Grand line where none have ever achieved even though many crews have great resources to do so.
my next prediction is WhiteBrd planned to make Ace the next P.K bcos it mustv been the only way to obtain one piece.why else would he tell ace not to go after BB and send out all his allies and crew to fight in the war to save ace.shanks also has the same plans for luffy.we all know there are only a selected few who carry the will.I also believe Trafalga law knows more than it seems, there mustv been a reason he saved luffy also why he isnt in a rush to goto the NW.
there is so much story left before oda finishes this manga were probably only halfway into this great manga.still so much to do like..
luffy meeting his crew,SH vs don flamingo and co.,zoro taking down mihawk, luffy meeting dragon & revolutionaries, luffy vs powered up coby,SH reach the NW,SH meets smoker and friends, luffy vs akainu, luffy & shanks reunion,SHs + shanks + WB crew up as a new force,SH vs BB crew and SH going to Raftel.
damn i love this manga just soo much left and im loving every bit of it.

I agree that the "Will of D" is probably essential to becoming the PK, but Whitebeard made it clear that he wasn't interested in One Piece in the mini Roger flashback. His "dream" was to have a family.

Don't take him seriously man, 90% of what he claims to be his ''theory'' has already been explained in the manga/predicted many a time/hinted at to happen sooner or later.
that last paragraph wasnt a theory i was only stating all the great things wel expect to see and look forward to.thoeries are theories everyones got their own predictions no need to be a hater.isnt what this thread for sharing?gotta hate those twats who try to discourage others.
don't be discouraged by people bashing your theory if your new. people have been around here forever, thus they ahve seen millions of theories and typical with newcomers is they come and say a theory that is kind of been said a billion times, so they all go "duh"
though as for your theory i dislike the special ship part. I don't want Luffy to find one piece only because he and roger got lucky and happened to find a shipwright that built some special thing in the ship that allows for their ship to get to raftel.
while their ship is special, i'd like to think that even without blueprints that franky had and just random normal wood that the strawhats would still be able to still get to raftel. I would hate it to be "only adam wood and this special something that only franky knows about is the only way to get there"

Pure speculation, but that is what this thread is for indeed.
my next prediction is WhiteBrd planned to make Ace the next P.K bcos it mustv been the only way to obtain one piece.why else would he tell ace not to go after BB and send out all his allies and crew to fight in the war to save ace.
This has already been mentioned in the manga, no theory here.
shanks also has the same plans for luffy.
Maybe, yes.we all know there are only a selected few who carry the will. I also believe Trafalga law knows more than it seems, there mustv been a reason he saved luffy also why he isnt in a rush to go to the NW.
This isn't a theory, this is just a remark about something which happened in the manga.
there is so much story left before oda finishes this manga were probably only halfway into this great manga.
Oda said this himself, no theory whatsoever.
still so much to do like..

damn i love this manga just soo much left and im loving every bit of it.
Good for you!
There only was that small a bit of theory, which could've been shortened as well. That's the only thing I was saying. I have a right to do so and you shouldn't be butthurt about me doing so.
Another theory by me: Shanks like WB has no interest in becoming pirate king. Why do I think this? Well as a member of Gol D. Roger's crew, he would most likely have been to Raftel already (unless Gol D Roger went the last leg by himself or only with people like Rayleigh). Thus he should know his way through the grand line, and any trick necessary to get there (Unless it isn't on Raftel). As a Yonkou, he surely has the strength to go, yet he seems content to partying and traveling around the world, even exiting the grand line at times such as when he met Luffy. SO I'm guessing he has some reason not to want One Piece, or he used to want it himself, bur decided to root for Lufy instead

My guess is that the only thing Shanks wants is to party.
The theory seems reasonable. He should know what it is already. So,if true, that would make 2 of the Yonkou already uninterested in One Piece.
I wonder if all 4 are?
In another forum, one observant person noticed that Oda redrew a specific guy in Roger's crew:
http://www.mangareader.net/103-2068-10/one-piece/chapter-19.html (Buggy's flashback)
http://www.mangareader.net/103-40677-6/one-piece/chapter-566.html (Strong World)
Their theory was that it's Crocodile. I really disagree with that, but I think it is possible that he'll show up in the New World, since Oda kept the same character design (in comparison to all the other fodder in the two scenes) and he's the only unnamed Roger pirate to have lines.
He mustn't be that observant if he noticed it just now…
He mustn't be that observant if he noticed it just now…
It's observant compared to me. I never notice background characters without speech bubbles.
Oda hasn't used an eyepatch yet in a design, so I've always thought he was saving it for someone special. I'm hoping Sabo will have an eyepatch and some burn scars on that hidden part of his face.
And I think the 40 degree thing will come into play at some point (though I don't really know how.)

Without the ponytail, I can buy it.
Here's something i was just thinking about yesterday.
The message that Luffy gave is that he's not good enough to protect everyone as he is right now.
Nami kinda hinted about what he said in his message is/was, I'm no good as i am, I'll stay here for a while so that I'll become much stronger and I can protect everyone.
:ninja:
The message that Luffy gave is that he's not good enough to protect everyone as he is right now.
I agree, because Brook's internal monologue doesn't fit the predicted "stay where you are and train." Brook says that Luffy made a decision, and that therefore he himself also has to do something. That doesn't sound like he's just obeying orders. Usopp's comments also fit - that even Luffy loses and that he's overdoing it.
So I think that Luffy's message basically said to wait while he becomes stronger, and everyone else takes that as their cue to train as well.
Sabo's pole extends like Goku's.
I don't know if someone already said this theory so I'll just throw in here.
_Dragon is a Fallen Admiral (Gives good reason for the Wind Logia theory, since all the other admirals are Logia's too also why he's up against the world government.) To make this theory sound more clear there's this old Japanese story with 4 dragons serving 1 king. The 4 dragons represented the 4 seasons. The Fall dragon found out their king was corrupted and asked his fellow dragons to help out. Winter dragon said he was to lazy (Aojiko), summer dragon didn't believe him he was to clueless (Kizura) and spring dragon didn't want to lose his place so he disagree (akinu).
Garp is a vice-admiral and he seemed like he really wanted both Luffy and Ace to be Marines, so the same could be true for Dragon._
I'd enjoyed the Japanese tale part about it.
Don't know whether it's a actual tale or just some made up BS.
Didn't you post it in the Dumb thread ? Because this is where it belongs.
And lol again at Aojiko, Kizura and Akinu.
Just forget about it, there's no thing such as a 4 dragons japanese tale with a fallen one, plus there's already the Momotaro Legend that where the admirals nicks are inspired from.

I wasn't predicting it.
Well it'll feed you either way anyways.
I think that all of these theories deserve their own threads!
you know, because of that crazy theory, I started reading about chinese dragonds and something caught my attention:
Chinese dragons are believed to be the rulers of moving bodies of water, such as waterfalls, rivers, or seas. They can show themselves as water spouts (tornado or twister over water). There are four major dragons, one representing each sea. For instance the Dragon King of the Eastern Sea, Dragon King of the Western Sea, and so forth.
So, if dragon had the rain fruit or whatever he could create tornado's and twisters like in Loguetown and it WAS raining over there, I believe this is not too farfetched if you see that Oda actually bases parts of One Piece on actual stories and mythology
I don't know if someone already said this theory so I'll just throw in here.

Never heard that tale about the dragons.
However the marine admirals are actually based off a fairy tale. The peacock, the monkey and the dog were all animals that followed a warrior to defeat an orge or something. Interestingly Sentoumaru is based on that hero of the story. Anyways I don't think that Dragon was an admiral, cause i never heard of a dragon in that story (I could be wrong though)

Another theory I've seen related to that mythology is that Dragon has a mythical zoan dragon fruit.
^
Yeah I think in some legends in China Dragons as well as controlling the water like Frandian mentioned they can also control the weather in general. It's not too far fetched
So… got an idea from NANLIT's post on the chapter thread.
When the crew reunites, Robin will tell them that she wants to stay with Dragon a little longer or something, so they will go ahead without her. Later on, in the New World, she will come back and ger her numbered chapter
I wasn't predicting it.
Well it'll feed you either way anyways.
I know know and sorry if i sounded a bit harsh but the Aokijo and stuff (i believe by those names you meant the Dragons' names, if not there's a huge misunderstanding) is hilarious, and you don't have to learn japanese to know that ao means blue, and aka means red so akinu… and a kijo can mean something but certainly not dragon, same goes for zura.
Aside from that, if we suppose Dragon was an admiral, we will have a hint that there were 4 admirals in the past don't you think so ?
But what is important is that Aokiji, Akainu and Kizaru are based from the Momotaro legend, Momotaro had a journey to an island inhabited by demons (wich he had to chase or something like that) and in his way he met a blue pheasant, a red dog and a yellow monkey. So we already have something the admirals can be based on. Adding a second inspiration that will disrupt the logic of the first is just a lame thing to do.
And again, there's no tale about 4 dragons serving a king, there are 4 mythological beasts in the chinese constellation, but that's another story.
Impel Down!
What Is it? The greatest prission ever right? But.. Why that Building has a Log pose? Buggy's crew was about to arrive there, using an eternal pose.
So, what is it? an Island that was hollowed out? Who has that level of technology since 20 years ago? Did the Tunneler Fruit Previous owner was a WG employee? It's an underwater island that got built uppon? Did they use fishman slaves?
It's impel down a monument for the lost kingdom?
And Also: Magellan is dead, Bonchan is getting the best medical care that the marines have to offer.
I think that all of these theories deserve their own threads!
And have ~7000 more threads? I like your thinking hahahaha
Someone brought up Franky Gundam in the chapter thread, and I kinda got a an idea from it… if Franky made some big combat weapon (like a gundam or a real "Big Emperor"), I can see it going to the empty Soldier Dock. It would kind of answer how they'd manage to fight San Juan Wolf: having a big robot Franky can control.
Probably won't happen, and there's probably something else in mind for combating San Juan, but I had to mention that I had the awesome mental image of Franky Gundam vs San Juan for a moment.
I don't think Dragon was a (high ranking) Marine because if e was, you'd think people would know a bit more about him prior to the recent reveal to the public of his father and son. You'd think if Dragon was a high ranking Marine, the WG would have boasted many years ago that he was the son of another high-ranking Marine, Garp, right? Yet up until now, not many people knew of his origins.
Never heard that tale about the dragons.

You need to learn a little bit more about Japanese fairy tale here, most of it is right except for the fact that the peacock? the monkey and the dog which are the three admirals did not followed kintaro which Sentoumaru is based on. They followed momotaro aka peach boy. However, Kintaro (Sentoumaru) does have an animal following him which is a bear. Like how he first appear together with Px-1 which is a Kuma.
Thanks for the uptake on that theory.
I don't know much about the Japanese culture, just thought that it was pretty plausible because of how it compared the personalities of the admiral's with the answer/season. Also on how the 3 admirals are logia's sorting out the wind logia theory for Dragon as well. Also on how Garp always wanted to make Ace/Luffy into marines, figured he had a success with Dragon but turned a different direction later.
Also thought it gave good reason why he was the most wanted criminal for the WG, because he probably found out some dark secrets while working under them. But like the guy above said wouldn't make sense because you think people would know more about Dragon then. Also that made me remember the last chapter with Dragon, his own army didn't even know if he was human or not until recently.
Well anyways unlike my theory Gundam Franky has some ground backing it up.
I remember when we first heard about the admirals and their nickname I immediately remember this tale and though that Sengoku gona have a momo momo fruit ( peach peach fruit) since he is their leader and all. Oh God that was such a stupid theory.
About the theory of Dragon used to be an Admiral seem pretty far stretch, were they ever confirm that there can be only 3 admirals at a time or was it just some stupid rummer that I heard? However I do think that it is possible for him used to be a marine or wanting to be a marine and found out about their dark secret thus betraying them. Since unlike Luffy, I don't think he have any role models who are a revolutionist. Well you never know, maybe Grap used to dump him to some Revolutionary to train him to become a marine.
