A few episodes are out now and every time i've watched one of them i've always felt like something is really missing and i can't get the same enjoyment out of them like i used to get from Naruto (before the filler frenzy). I checked out some of the old fights from Chuunin exam etc. and i realized that the problem in Shippuuden is that the quality of the animation isn't even as close to the level it used to be. The characters are drawn properly, but everything seems to move in slow-motion and the framerate of the characters is like 1 frame per second. A good example of this was episode 4 where Gaara's sand hand just seemed to be frozen in most of the scenes and the bird's are the only things animated. It seems to me like the animators are really trying to copy the manga carefully but don't know how to get some life into the pictures, therefore resulting in only partially animated scenes with a low FPS.
Anyone know any explanation for this?
PS. The music isn't that great either but at least its better than the animation.
