I just noticed that Anime One has released episode 213 of Naruto. Now I may be mistaken but haven't they done Naruto subs all the way back to episode 1? My point is they are almost neck and neck with K-Fs One Piece releases. Does this mean K-F could lose its record of most fansubs done for one series? Just to make clear I love One Piece way more than Naruto (…filler... yuck) and K-F is one of my top fansub groups.

Just checked Baka-Updates. It looks like they started subbing from episode 42. I'm not sure, though.

Though if Aone does go over KF, they won't hold the record for long. Naruto ends with episode 220 then starts over with episode 1 as a new series (like DB and DBZ) so once KF subs 221 they'll have the record again.

I think the record is for most episodes of a single series subbed, not longest time subbing one series. I dunno where Naruto was at when Aone started subbing either.

Yes the manga did just timeskip. I think they decided to make it a new series so that people would KNOW the fillers were over.

Yeah, it's basically the same series..they just tacked on a new sub-name (Shippuden) for the time-skip.

Yeah it's a continuation, but it's a different series in the same way that DB, DBZ, and DBGT are all different series. New name + new episode numbers.

DBGT was ALL Filler, None of it was in the Manga
That isn't what he was talking about, I think it is safe to say most people know DBGT was all filler. Even tho according to Greg "Toriyama" was actually quite involved in it.

If I were fansubbing it I would have skipped the fillers and just continued it as the same seires. From the sta rt the fillers should never have been there.
When you consider that besides movies and such, comparing the amount of fillers in One Piece to Naruto's fillers, One Piece has been great about it and Naruto has absolutely sucked. Like half the Anime is fillers. It's a small series, and needed fillers just to catch up to One Piece. Desperate? Seems so.

I wouldn't paint OP's fillers in that great a light, do you remember when they were standing on the rooftop facing Robin? The actually played old eps during a "new" ep…atleast Naruto attempted at original content (although how good it was is another story all together).
But, this is off topic, it doesn't really matter if they lose the record, which they probably won't, 'cause K-F is the best IMO I'll still use 'em.

It is still anyone's guess if the replaying of old episodes was due to filler or that it just moved to a new time slot and wanted the new viewers to get femilar with the main characters past, …or both.

Um…same characters....same story....and based on a source that retains the same name. It's not instantly a completely new show because they tagged on a word or two.
