^Well, Toei has changed, their motive now is quantity and not quality, where before it was the other way around.

You guys have to understand. They produce a series close to its original source which is now over 300 episodes and needs to air a new episode each week.
Having to produce these full color and animated 19 minute episodes over and over is hard work. So saying quantity over quality to their work is quite cruel.

Well I don't understand, I've seen past episodes like the Skypeia arc and the animation was more decent than what I see these days. And sometimes, I see high quality animation, and then the next scene, looks like crap. So I'm just wondering if they have too much to do on their hands with other animes (Bleach doesn't look so great either) or are they lazy.

I have this random question: Does TOEI improve its episodes for the DVD releases? Cause seriously, we've been having quite a few low budget episodes lately, so I've been thinking TOEI's rushing the latest episodes, yet are going to spend time and make the dvd eps shiny!
…or am I just hoping?

There may be several reasons from budget, to hiring new animators. I agree that the current Enis Lobby arc has had some of the biggest inconsitencies with quality since the Arabasta arc. I guess we'll have to wait and see whether or not it is just a rough patch or a permanent decline in quality (more likely the former), although I'm at least sure that the climax will be well animated.

Bleach is handled by Studio Parrot, the same company that does Naruto.

Yea im finding the art to be a bit odd as well, though in essence nothing happened this episode at all except long drawn out scenes with no major point to them so it may just be some kind of budget episode or something

Maybe, but the ratings are skyrocketing, which just goes to show that Japan really has no taste - poor production values & nasty direction, as long as they're cliche and familiar, will earn more viewers than something bold and innovative.
I only need look at Gurren-Lagann to confirm this. -.-

I just wanted to let you know that I will not be available to upload early RAWs for the next 3 weeks, because I am staying at my aunt's house with no internet connection (taking care of her cats while she is on a trip), and as much as I love OP, I really need the money she is paying me. Hopefully Saiyaman or crossbones will release fast and decent RAWs. If not, I will try to upload something later Sunday or Monday, if I have time to stop by my apartment. Otherwise, learn how to use Share or Winny.

! So if they mention Jet Gatling, then that means the battle is over next week. But after seeing the screens, they have a few things to still show off. Sure I don't want everything on the Bridge of Hesitation, but at least show the Rust-Rust guy destroying Yubashiri. (yeah, he's minor, but he's the only minor DF character to do something that affect's Zoro's battle style for the moment.
