I think the whole Ice Hunter was pretty enjoyable for a filler, despite some stupidities and oddities. Episode 335 had some good dialogue, nice action and funny scenes (Franky's Coup de Fart… eww) and it wrapped the whole thing up nicely.

Actually I felt this filler was quite strong. I really enjoyed the last episode here and was sorta sad to see it end…then i realized Brooke is coming soon and I said forget them.

I'm so glad this filler has ended, I actually despised it. The story was so weak and seemed to have aspirations of being epic but constantly fell short of that. In fact it didn't even bother to tie up the loose ends regarding backstories. The filler characters were completely dull and unimaginative in some respects anyway and the Straw hats were, in my opinion, handled lazily. All the writers seemed to do was rely on their most basic personality traits repetitively making it completely predictable. I know it's filler but c'mon, I thought they'd put in a bit more effort; they're obviously capable of it.
If Puzzle and his shitty crew ever show up again I might actually die. Thank GOD for Thriller Bark.~VOTE MARIMO 09!~

Rascuache has a point, the fillers usually overuse the most obvious traits from every character.

This Arc made Sanji to look like a retard. That and Luffy's atack being dumbed down are my only complains about this filler.

I'm not saying they should never rely on those things, but when it's all that a character contributes to a whole arc it's unimaginative and repetitive. With this filler arc, there seemed to be absolutely no structure, it was mostly just characters doing something typical linked together.
The difference being that Thriller Bark actually has a story with plot twists and the characters have at least a little depth to their character at some point or another.~VOTE MARIMO 09!~

But, damn, the beginning of TB and Sanji's ''fight'' are the embodiment of tired character traits gone wrong.

Probably since it was funny and after that it just seemed to be nothing but constant fighting.

Yeah, Oda does tend to over-do it a little sometimes as well; More so recently, especially with Sanji. It's my one concern about future One Piece. It never gets to the point where it's unbearable or is the only thing which drives the story, though.

Eh, as long as the filler arcs don't conflict with the canon story, I'm ok with dumb plots like this one. I also generally prefer it if OP filler arcs don't take themselves very seriously (like all that nonsense about Puzzle and his crew) and treat themselves like fun diversions. The use of Luffy's Jolly Roger in this arc I thought was handled pretty well here.

This arc would have been far better with Less Puzzle (More like nothing of Puzzle) and more Don Accino.

I thought that was a very good use for his quirk. Kinda passionate. I like that kind of thing (the passionate part, that is).

Hmm, for me this arc was a mixed bag. While the beginning was pretty good, once they got to Lovely Land things began to waver a bit, but then the fight with the Don made up for that somewhat.
I guess the biggest problem, like some have pointed out, is that the Phoenix Pirates were completely wasted as characters. I expect big things from a crew named after a mythological creature with a captain that has a 100 million berry bounty. Instead, they did almost nothing other than act as plot devices, and Jiro fell into the annoying gutsy kid cliche that has plagued One Piece for so long. The fact that Puzzle was a winer for most of the story didn't help.
Oh well, I found the villians to be neat. The magnetic power of Blend and Cappuccino were very fun to watch, and Hockera gave me a good laugh over his line about the fights being the best part of sports. And the Don had some pretty neat powers.
On the very slight chance that the Phoenix Pirates pop up again in a New World filler, they better do something big to make up for their lackluster performance here.

But I'm rather excited about seeing a Chopperman episode. Might not be Thriller Bark, but it's bound to be entertaining (especially with Usopp, Zoro, Sanji Robin, and maybe Luffy playing the villians). Wonder how they'll bring Franky into it.

If you're watching it for quick, simple fun, watch Luffy's fight with the twins and pretty much any of he later scenes with Accino.
I personally found it to be pretty entertaining for a filler. Actually better overall than G8, but more unbalanced in parts that really could've been great.
(Seriously, Zoro getting his ass kicked by a steaming fat-shit would've been one of the greatest things in all of modern fiction.) -
