Around November or December, my Nintendo DS Lite got stolen. Not the
games or anything, just the DS. And I have no idea if I have the warranty.
My mom was paying for it while I was looking at games on another
section at Circuit City. But anyways, ever since it got stolen, my mother
refuses to buy me anything. My dad says that he will buy me one, but then
again, thats what he said a month ago too. Im thinking hes only saying it
to keep me quiet. I really want a new DS, because the original was actually
my birthday present and Im really upset about the fact that my present got
stolen in less than a year.

So, does anyone have any sites I can go to for help? Any tips I can use to
convince my parents? Anything that will help me?

This is one severe problem my friend. I'll break it down in steps, so you can print it out for reference.
        Step one: Acquire money.

        Step two: Go to Gamestop.

        Step three: Buy DS.

Get a part time job and buy it with your own money, I guess. Even if you can't work in the public, you could do something at home; help out your parents, like washing dishes, vacuuming the floors, etc. Say something like "I really want to get DS Lite. If I help out in household chore, can you give me extra allowance?" If you are doing that already without pay, then… ... don't know :x Maybe study hard and get good scores at school? I remember my parents gave me 10 dollars every time I get 90% on the tests 😧 Not a lot, but you'll appreciate the value of money more that way. You gotta earn it~.

Yeah, basically what everyone said. Get a job, or start working for your parents. But don't go to Gamestop(like Zulen said), cause Gamestop is fucking cheap. Read an article on Joystiq saying that someone bought a Wii and Zelda along with it. And right when the person got home, Gamestop called this person and asked if he was enjoying it and if he was done with it he could trade it in IMMEDIATLEY with for new Wii games.

You don't have to not go to Gamestop, I'm just saying that the company is cheap.

People are utter idiots. Sometihng happens once and they think it's going to happen again. I know, insurance companies do it, but they mostly want cash and to give themeselves insurance in case it happens again, so htey can make money and not lose much.

But some people, especially parents, tend to act like you have some kind of disease that won't go away, and whatever bad things happen to you are going to constantly happen like a disease. Like symptons. So in their heads they, at least subconsiously(thorugh impulses probably) think "I'll buy a DS every month and it'll just get stolen. Wait why? because they had it sotlen once, it's mostly their fault, so they will constantly have it happen. I guess they are just irresponsible with their stuff. Guess I shouldn't waste money then." and stuff like that. THey come to conclusions thorugh hypothetical impressions.

I don't think parents are thinking like that. It's more of teaching kids the value of money.
