Was Enel a Paramecia user?

There is this pattern where a Logia user can become the element and dodge whatever is trying to hit him. So, why didn't Enel change to lightening to dogde Luffy's attacks? Even though Enel is not protected against rubber, he could just make himself intangible to anything solid.

Notice that this is not a weakiness like Crocodile had, because this one would just miss his powers when hit by water. So there is no excuse for Luffy to hit Enel. My point is, Enel was a paramecia user.

Enel didn't control the electricity around him, but the one the capacitance INSIDE him. He was just a natural capacitor, storing/discharging electricity on his will, out of nothing, pretty much like Luffy is a natural rubber and can release a huge potential energy from his rubber muscles out of nowhere.

I have some other thoughts on this matter, but I'd like you to discuss.

We all know Eneru is Logia, but why can he still get hit by Luffy?

Let's talk from the beginning first: We saw Kamakiri stab a spear right through his head. Now, if Eneru was Paramecia, that stab would be death for him, but yet he didn't. He proves that he's Logia, and furthermore, Robin said that he has Logia powers.

The reason that he couldn't let Luffy's fist go through him is because rubber resists electricity. It has been said Logia can only be hit by their weaknesses. Crocodile's weakness is water, and if wet, he can be hit. Electricity's weakenss is anything that resists electric, and rubber is one of the biggest resistance, and since Luffy has a body of rubber, he can hit Eneru.

This is the best explanation, so please understand it.

Croc could break apart to dodge. That how he caught luffy at the palace. So u can use you power to dodge.

I always figured that Enel dodged attacks by sending a current through the thing attacking him, and since Luffy resisted electricity, he couldn't and instead was hit. Or something like that, I can't quite find the words I want. It's been six years since electronics class.

He's 100% a Logia, though. It's fact.

There seems to be a warm-up time before a logia can use their powers to travel. They can travel quickly, but it's not quick enough for a dodge. None of the logias seem to be able to instantaneously use their powers for dodging, only negating attacks by breaking apart. That's not really traveling, since they're still centered around the same area.

If Ener had been able to dodge all of Luffy's blows, he could have used that re-forging trick to stab him in the back much earlier than he did, and would have had the opportunity to kill Luffy, create another thunderball, and wipe out the Skypeians, the Shandians, and the rest of the Strawhats, as well as doing some possible damage to Jaya below in the form of forest fires resulting from stray lightning strikes. Since this would make for a very sad story where all of their friends wonder what happened to them

I think it is because in OP even if enel turned into llightning he would still get hit by luffy.

As I understand it enel could have dodge, but if he was touched since he couldn't send his current though luffy's rubber body he would get hit. Ace, smoker, and croc on the other hand seems to dodge by spreading out and making room in thier bodys for attacks to pass.

In the end enel loss because of fear. He could have dodged luffy via pure speed, but just made a huge target out of himself.

Enel was over confident anyway. When you can blast most people with a mere thought you tend to get the "high and mighty" thought into your head and a lot of things are beneath you. When Luffy threw that giant ball attached to his hand at Enel, Enel realised his was in trouble, only then did he try and put EVERYTHING into taking out Luffy. Trouble was, part of him was panicking due to disbelief by then and… He got hit.

Though Enel may have lightning speed and all, that doesn't have to mean that he has lightning reflexes. Or maybe he didn't think in time to dodge the attack.

He didn't see it coming, or he thought it wouldn't be as fast as it was and didn't think of escaping in time. If you panic…you can't really think properly and usually end up doing something stupid or wrong (in my case I do xD)

The expression on Enel's face before impact sums up his state of mind. The most important thing with Enel is to remember rubber didn't exist in Skypiea in the first place and how he talk (as though he really was God). He was immortal, undefeatable. Then he met Luffy the rubberman…

I'm serious, he was, Enel specifically went(at least in the Anime) "TOO FAST!!!!" and he couldn't really dodge it.

I thought that was him moving too fast. I was analyzing more along the lines of just becoming and element, and let the attack "pass through", just like the other lthe other logia that are like fluids… Think of Smoker, Crocodile and Ace.

Right now, I think Zoro would have a great chance against Enel if he were more skilled and faster. He could just one sword to work as a lightening rod, and attack with the other two.

Eneru's lightning is more like Electrons than actual lightning. There are two things that are key in lightning: extreme pressure and heat. Even when Eneru melted the gold ball on Luffy's arm, that was not a true example of real lightning. It would've totally melted the gold on Luffy's arm, not to mention that Luffy's rubber would have been burnt to a crisp. Everyone that Eneru directly zapped would have also caught on fire.

To be quite honest, Eneru was a logia in the truest sense of the concept. His power was based on a sub-atomic particle, rather than an actual force of nature.

Another thing to add is this. Also, NO Enel is NOT a paramecia. Stop being difficult. Anyway, remember, Enel and Croc had plenty of times to move. They didn't probably because they were too surprised or something to that effect. Crocodile especially could have used his powers more during the last fight that he and Luffy had. However, I guess he decided that no matter what he would stab him with his poison hook or knife.

Enel is a Logia. The reason he could dodge Luffy's attacks was that Enel used his Mantra to know Luffy's next attack and used his power to transport himself to a new location before the attack made contact. Everytime he was hit, it was because he could not predict the attack, lost focus, or believed a false outcome.
