The anime is sure moving fast, seem to me way to fast, cause its almost catching up with the manga, are we going to get two years of fillers????
Anime moving to fast?
-
-
No, I don't think so.
-
After all that horrible Zoro/Sogeking fight filler, I'll say no. Not to mention that sometimes the recaps make a third of the episode.
-
The anime has been close to the manga for a while. They manage.
I don't think Toei will pull long ass fillers cause they saw what it did to Naruto.
One Piece has never had long fillers.

Why do people keep saying this!? It's not even CLOSE to the manga. You KNOW that when the Straw Hats go back to Water 7 after Enis, they will streach it into probably be like 30. And when White Beard and Shanks talk… streached to 2 episodes. And the entrence to the Ghost Island will be like 4 episodes, with a couple of them just on the boat traveling there..
Anyway, why does Toei feel like they have to keep dishing out episodes? Why can't shows go on 6 month breaks like they do in America. Toei only seems to care about the quantity of the episodes... :getlost:
-
^ Toei has never done anything like that so I don't think they would now.
-

What are you talking about? They streached out Logue town, didn't they?
-
The cooking and Daddy the Father filler? Dude, that wasn't stretching. That was what? 2 episodes?
Face it, the longest solid filler arc One Piece has had was 12 episodes, and the longest session of fillers it had was 13 episodes.
-
I think they'll manage at the pace they are at right now. They MIGHT put a filler arc before Brook appears, but I'm very sure that they won't.
-
No. The'll conclude Enies Lobby and make that great arc what it should be.
You can bet your ass there will be a filler once they're back at Water 7, and then they can go into the Florian Triangle and meet Brooke.
That or they can just have an airing break, which they've done before.

They have numerous oppertunities to put in 12-13 episodes of fillers when they return to Water 7, on the sea before they meet Brook, etc…
Plus they managed to streach out Enis Lobby this long... I mean, Luffy and friends just stared at Spadman on the tower for like, 3 episodes... Franky burns the blue prints... 1 FULL episode. The rest was recap. Straw Hats fly into tower, another FULL episode. I bet they will streach the buster call out like... Enis Lobby will end at episode 350... :ninja:
-
I hope that instead of filler they show the side stories like the ones with Buggy and Coby. I actually enjoyed those.
-
^ Or Enel…
16 Enelz
-
Holy crap, Lobster, I never thought of that. The Enel Side-story will surely be finished after Enies Lobby concludes in the Anime, and even if it didn't, they could jump into it and wait until it concludes.

Zulen, why don't you have the same sig you have on K-F??Ohh, and the animators don't like to animate short stories. They stopped after the 1st season.
-
The only thing is… they haven't animated mini stories since the Cobymeppo one.
-
Ya I know which kind of sucks… I personally prefer them over fillers and had a laugh with the Buggy and Coby ones. I know Jango and Fullbody one definately is skipped but I wouldnt mind seeing all the Baroque works people again. Also I thought the Wapol one was pretty funny. I guess the Ace one wouldnt work anymore though right? Of course they could still make them flashbacks and not concurrent with the recent events of the Strawhats.
-
I think the anime is moving horrible slow, personally. :3 Because they're trying too hard to keep it behind the manga.

Why can't they go on 3 month breaks, like other shows? Is Toei in it JUST for the money!? Have they sold out!?
-
I just think it's the demand of the people. Plus, what's the Broadcastng TV Station gonna show to replace the thirty minute time? Reruns? HA! no.

Are there NO re-runs in Japan…? In America shows go for 6 month breaks with re-runs. Or even year breaks. Sometime they just switch shows, and then switch back...

In Japan, there are NO such things as reruns, in anime at least.

…I...Uhh... I don't have an account on K-F.

Sorry… I was thinking of Kia-Zodd. You both act the same.

The two and a half year filler for Naruto could have been something to actually show a two and a half year difference or something. Though that isn't really good..
-
The anime isn't moving fast at all. It's taking its sweet time, and I don't mind.
I know people bitched about Nami's fight with Kalifa, but I enjoyed it. The only part I didn't like was the end to it.
Fillers will no doubt happen after the end of this current arc. But has Toei really ever failed us with fillers? No, not really.
-
The anime is going at a good pace right now. If it really really is necessary, they can add some stuff during the wait in Water 7. They are there for a couple days so they could just add a few more things there to keep the pace moving. It should be okay though.
The thing thats gonna be awkward is the fight with Lucci though. That was a lot longer than it could've been, and without overstretching it like they did with Blueno it would probably take about 4-6 episodes to air it all.
-
I wonder why Toei never does the season break. I mean, when they were doing the East Blue saga, they should have over 40 episodes and make a season break until Oda gets to the late Arabasta arc then create 40 more epsiode. They did this with Digimon, they made 52 episode a season and they would begin a new season.
For example, yous start the season at May 15th, after 50 episode and season 1 ends at Dec 15. The new season would come out again at May 15th. Toei won't do that with One Piece and they should not have started it until 4 years after 1997.
