I loved Diddy Kong racing, and still play it from time to time. Is it a remake for the DS, or is it a sequal/prequel?

After getting over the changes…. Its starting to grow on me. I'm really pissed that they don't have the Silver Coin challenges and that the 2nd round in the worlds aren't even "racing".
Over all, I prefer the original but DKR:DS is good for online play. Ice Pyramid anyone?

Was the N64 version rigged so that the first player you chose would be all retarded? Because one my cartridge, the first player I chose was the Dinosaur guy (I was young and, naturally, and an obsession with Dinosaurs), and his turning, speed, everything sucked huge balls.

Anyways, I think I'll pick this up when it comes out, I have the old one for the 64 and it was pwnsome, not quite as good as Mario Kart but still very fun hated the Dragon boss levels

I think you're talking about Krunch, and he's not a dinosaur, he's a Kremling (species of crocodiles in the Donkey Kong universe). And no, the game wasn't rigged. Krunch is possibly one of the worst characters in the game due to his poor handling. I, too, was apalled at how bad he was. Awesome character, terrible driver.
Anyway, most of the reason I want this game is for Wi-Fi. It seems like this one has some unnecessary changes, like those tacked-on touch screen boosts…
