How wacky, crazy, action packed do you think One Piece will get?

The recent Enies Lobby arc, Shanks and Whitebeard clash and the most recent arc has got me thinking, how crazy do you think One Piece will get in the end?

Maybe action packed isn't the term I was looking for but what I mean is how powerful do you think the people in One Piece will get? I mean with the recent revelation of Shanks and WB splitting the sky we all know its going WAY beyond superhuman strength.

I'm not implying DBZ crazy (I dont think anything can get as powerful as that…) but when Dragonball first started out with young Goku's adventure it wasnt anywhere near as action packed as DBZ. Goku got WAY WAY stronger. From a power level of what 100 to 1000000000000000? (probaly more zeros...) Not to mention Oda is a huge fan of DBZ

What I mean is that when I was at the East Blue Saga feats such as Buggys Bomb leveling a town, Kuro's speed was already really impressive to me.

Now I see Luffy and Zoro shooting an energy attack (300 pound cannon) at Aqua Laguana, Ace making a huge ass fireball, Blackbeard swallowing a town etc.

When Ship cutter T-bone did an energy blast with his sword, I was wondering what the hell Mihawk is capable of.

Even so Luffy and co have only travelled for less then a year and got way way stronger. In DBZ they would train for like years in time capsules and etc.

Also with ghosts, skeletons, space pirates how much wacky do you think One Piece will get? Once again look at when they were East Blue, nothing TOO abnormal, (except maybe Gaimon with his animal friends) but now a horror Night Before Christmas like theme park?!?! I LOVE IT! These were all gradual moving from more crazy to more and more wacky, (hiking bear anyone? that was pure genius).

I mean if someone told me that they would land on the clouds when I was still in the East Blue Saga I would think its lame. But the way Oda did it, its like the best thing since sliced bread. (Merman Island is going to be awesome)

So by the end how much crazy do you think One Piece will get? I used to think space pirates would be an extremely stupid idea but now its kinda cool. Are Whitebeard, Shanks, Mihawk and other powers the limits of the One Piece World? Even if they are how crazy do you think they really are?

EDIT: also now with the introduction of dourikis (spelling?) the power rating for CP9, we all know Rob Lucci's 4000 is going to be tiny compared to the big players. Im pretty sure during the Enies Lobby arc, if we could measure Luffy's douriki (again sorry for the spelling) Im pretty sure it got way higher from when he first got owned by Lucci in Water 7 to when he defeated him. I would say at LEAST a 1000 increase.

There's tons of universes stronger than DBZ. Mid tiers in the Marvel universe for example could own it.

One Piece could get crazier as it goes because the closer we get to more powerful opponents (Jinbei; Whitebeard/Shanks) the wilder it gets. I say oda will let loose as soon as the SH's hit Fishman Island!

Ya I think when the reach the New world its going to be a huge step. When they first reached Grand line it was a big step from East Blue and I imagine this step would be much bigger.

Sidenote: wow didn't think it was possibly to be crazier then DBZ…

Yeah your right…...You already have a character in One Piece who is basically a walking Blackhole and you have to be FASTER than light to escape it!!! Maybe Oda has characters out their that strong and fast.

Actually, crazy isn't the word I'd use.

I was actually disappointed with the Grand Line, really. There was all this build-up to it being this horrible, horrible place where no one can live, but most people seem to survive with relative ease. The problem was that our version of the Grand Line was skewed because we heard it from the ears of people from East Blue, the weakest Blue. Hell, 30 million was the highest bounty in East Blue; in the other blues, that was a lower level bounty. Bellamy was a "Big-time Rookie" from North Blue at 55 million, so you can imagine how big the high-end bounties from the other blues must be.

In fact, except for Crocodile, none of the opponents were exceptionally badass on the Grand Line. Most of Luffy's opponents on the Grand Line before Crocodile were wasted in a hit or two. Eneru would've been bad if it wasn't for Luffy's immunity to lightning, but everyone else up to Kuzan was relatively mild.

One thing that does bother me is Krieg and Arlong. They beat the hell out of Luffy (Though some people won't admit it). Luffy had to recover for a day after Krieg and two days after Arlong, but the next big recovery wasn't until after beating Crocodile (3 days). Then Eneru was another 3 days recovery, and his defeat from Kuzan was a whopping 8 days. Lastly, Recovery from Enies Lobby was 5 days.

As for wackiness, there's been nothing really "wacky", except for the Davy Back Fight. That was definitely Oda pulling a "Let's do something fun" out of his ass, which isn't a bad thing, really. Up to that point, One Piece had gotten really serious and we needed something goofy to lighten the mood. Afro Luffy definitely succeeded in this.

We've got some bizarre happenings right now. Brooke is a bit odd, but many of the people that the strawhats have met are odd.

If the "action-packed" trend continues in the New World, Luffy will die from exhaustion by the end of the series. Or collapse from exhaustion and get captured (Which is what I believe happened to Roger). Every big fight, Luffy has had to rest. Hell, he got tired randomly (Arlong Park, Alabasta Desert, Water 7). With the enemies getting even tougher, Luffy's going to have to get his stamina up, or Zoro and he will be worn out by the time we get to Raftel.

In fact, the fact that they're the only two Strawhats that get worn out all the time shows they're on a different level than the other strawhats. Franky, Chopper and Sanji may get worn out every so often, but not nearly as much as Zoro (Who sleeps all the time when not fighting) or Luffy (Who will stop to nap randomly).

I agree. Brook is a great idea from Oda. Very original and funny but if it goes too far then it isn't even funny anymore. Just stupid.

About action… We'll surely see stronger opponents and new crazy DF powers and that's fine with me as long as the series don't head too much for DBZ dimension. I hope Oda will rather put more thought to characters other abilities than just their raw strenght. I don't want to see a guy who could destory the whole freaking universe by just flicking his finger.
And about DF powers... I'm pretty curious to see what more is to come. We have seen so many freaking DF users already that it will soon get hard to create new ones which are something new without being totally ridiculous.

About the GL.. Yeah, you get so much from Gaimon and then you see its like a game, continuing once you finish the ordeal when the Log Post charges. Moreover, all the things the SH sailed to were unique and special even for the GL [Expecially Skypiea and EL].

But for the craziness level, I think you all are pretty wrong here [don't hit me please].
Crazy? Why yes, of course. We have so much things that are crazy. But, not going crazier than Brooke?
People, Brooke is perfectly logical. He explained his story himself. There were alot of reasoning, even for the afro [Anyone spotted reasoning for Sanji's eye?].
Brooke is crazy because what he is, but logical because of his way towards it. If we know that, nothing can go so crazy. It'll be crazy for having it but you can get way better as long as there is reasoning behind it.
I don't see why Oda should put a talking banana just like that. Saying it now people will hate it. When Oda explains why? "Oh.. If it's like that, why not? It's cool."

As long as there is a reason Oda can do as he likes, and people will love that. Because it's good.

I hope Oda will give us more awesome fights with the new abilities from Ennies Lobbie…

I'm still waiting Zoro gets really mad and pissed off... A bad-ass mode like Luffy it has... Chopper will look like a teddy in his monster form compared to this one

You know, Brooke isn't that crazy. So he's a skeleton. Big deal. So he has hair. A lot of skeletons and mummies have traces of hair (Not full heads, but this is a manga). If he was wacky or crazy, he'd have something like 3 heads and would eat cottage cheese through his elbow.

Anyway, on topic, I'm hoping One Piece doesen't go the way of DBZ and snubs Luffy's crewmates towards the end. In other words, I'm hoping end-of-the-series Luffy, the Emperors and any future Logias won't be strong to the point that Sanji, Robin and Franky are reduced to cheerleaders like Goku's comrades. Even at this point, I really struggle to imagine how Sanji's going to seriously improve beyond the Devil Wind.

More wacky: There's sure to be more silliness and rational tomfoolery to come.

More crazy: It feels like the pace sped up considerably with just these past ten chapters or so.

About the same action packed: Really, with one-on-one fights for every crewmember, coupled with an expanding crew, Oda-sensei will either have to make Arcs longer to accomodate all of the fights(already been done) or use fewer pages per fight(this would probably draw more criticism than would be expected.)

Hopefully, One Piece will keep up with the level of wackiness it already has. To wacky would make it like Bo^7 or JJBA. I'm not saying that that is a bad thing, but One Piece is meant to be a mixture of stuff. But don't get me wrong, I like the wackiness and craziness.

But action is definatelly going to go way up. More scenes like Whitebeard and Shanks splitting the sky, Ace summoning that huge fireball. Yeah, it's going to get better.

Not really, he's basically a common stereotype of a mad doctor/doctor Frankenstein. The whole idea of taking parts from various animals/humans originates from folk tales. Mary Shelley's Frankenstein is the first book to describe it. If you look at everyone one of his creations, they're patchwork.

i've never seen anybody around who seriously hates her. we still don't know how she will fight in a hard fight. because the one on skypea was a joke against a silly foe.

as for her attitude, well, at least it makes it easier for oda to handle all these folks.

Or it could also be that their respective opponents hardly gave them as much trouble as Luffy or Zoro's did.
Since when is getting tired an indication of strength? ANd since when is Zoro ever as tired as Luffy is after a fight?
