-Bleach: A guy who arrived first day on campus in the chicest clothing with the coolest slang knowing everything…but ultimately turned out to be the ultimate poser who makes himself look important but in actuality is a complete loser who rather just stick with the outside than tell you about his failing grades and that no one likes him back home.
-Gintama: The loner weirdo who smokes a lot of weed and actually knows a lot more than he's letting on...an image of the teacher from "Animal House" comes to mind.
-Reborn: A weird friend you came in to college with that seemed alright...but then discovered girls and Bleach's styling closest...now all they want to do is appease them instead of doing what they really should.
-Toriko: The ultimate party guy: eats a lot, has a good time and actually knows quite a bit if you get past the fact that he's an utter slob.

I saw this on the bleach thread and thought it would be fun to see this type of analogy applied to other anime and manga. Let's see what we can come up with!

Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo: The wacko running around making bizarre comments no one wants to admit are actually interesting and amazing and typically pass off as not understanding...when in reality he's probably someone who rather make fun of the rest of the campus than show his true merit. (yet not in a cynical way)

Hey, some people like Bo-bobo..and see way more merit to it than people give it credit. (yeah some of Shinsetsu screwed with it but for the most part it stayed consistant and righted itself somewhat towards the end…somewhat)

Shaman King: the guy who has the biggest secret on campus but is so tough that you can't get it out of him. He gets expelled...but somehow massive school revolt allows him back in to finally reveal said secret...and it wasn't really as impressive as you thought it would be.
