Ever compare the universe to an Atom ????? kinda look the same big ball in the middle with little balls rotating around it.
I should stop thinking a wach more porn

i understand wat u mean sometimes i think that way too (did i say it ryt?)
sometimes i think where just a molecule or a cell of a larger thing or being?
that were parasite or a cancer cell:blink:
or im my own grandpa!!!
"Have you ever noticed how much sand there is at the beach? I mean, haven't you ever wondered where all this sand came from? Omigod, this one time, I saw a beetle that was thiiis big. Eeewww!"
if it weren't for his having an avatar I'd be convinced this were a spam bot
If you think you think too much, look at "Fire Fist" Ace's posts. ^^
You'll feel you don't think enough.
This reminds me of that episode of Family Guy where Peter made a big deal out of a piece of paper blowing in the wind.
I think about the universe and how it relates to everything else and I get a lot of headaches that way.
A lot of the time, I get those visions on the toilet.

He's got way too much time on his little hands, coming up with these theories.

Read moar Stephen Hawking!!!
Hey guys, philosophizing ain't no crime.
I wonder that too sometimes. When I'm bored my mind drifts towards Earth's purpose in what could exist to be something much bigger. Is life like a chapter of history in something? Was there something before life that was similar to life; something not unlike existence? It reminds me of the ending to Men In Black where we see the alien with the marbles.

This brings in question Extra-Dimensional beings, that exist outside of our physical "reality"… Like the brilliant physicist Michio Kaku once pointed out (and this is paraphrasing), to a goldfish "reality" is the bowl in which it resides... it is not aware of the "world" that exists outside of the confines of its bowl... our 4-dimensional SpaceTime is very much like that bowl... and we are the goldfish...
well, everything is possible. saying the universe is an atom is not completely stupid and is at least much more well thought than believing there is a guy who did it all in 6 days and slacked off the 7th.

You need to read my sig…
woohoo goldfish are translators. put them in your ear and listen to their digestion
it’s a fact that everything started with a big BANG. that is why space looks like it is now. i’ve watched a film which is all about distanceat the beginning you can see a human being (picknicking) from a high camera angle(bird’s eye) then the camera zooms steadily out until you can see the whole universe as far as the human being has explored, there the camera starts zooming in and ends in the human’s cell and atom and stuff. well, that was quite cool and the atom and universe really are alike.

@mr_bushido:
well, do you know the gamble of blaise pascal (french philosopher)? if you have to bet wether or not god exists, you HAVE to bet on the fact that he does. because you can't lose.
if you bet he exists and in fact doesn't, well, we'll never really PROVE that he doesn't. so it's a draw. but if he exists, aka he comes to say hello, you win.
if you bet he doesn't exist and in fact he does, you lose BIG times. and if he doesn't, well once again we can't really prove that he doesn't so it's a draw again.
so that's it, you can't lose.
we're talking about gambling here. people, don't start saying SEE? HE EXISTS!
@DenDen: Yes, but what was there BEFORE the Big Bang??? XD
And here's an artist's rendering of how the Big Bang happened…
@Igalsfy: I'm not betting with anyhting… I believe in God... I'm just Agnostic...

… that's maths!!!!!!!!i got that in maths!!!!!!!AAAAAAAARGH!!!!!
so wasn't blaise pascal a math scientist?
sorry to having interrupt you
@mr_bushido
that's too advanced thinking for me:blink:
Man, this is great… I LOVE theoretical physics...
So… are we sure the universe "started" at one point at all? How can something be created out of nothing?
I for one think that it's all one big cycle: there's a point where all mass is concentrated -> there's a big bang -> the universe expands to its limit -> the universe starts contracting again -> there's a point where all mass is concentrated -> there's a big bang, etc.
Waves are one of the most important concepts of physics, why wouldn't the universe have an ondulatory existence, too?
Belief that the universe is a segment with a beginning and an end and that everything is created out of nothing is common to the semitic religions (Christians, Jews and Muslims), while other cultures (Hindus, Aztecs, Norsemen) regard existence as a cyclical process.
What if there was a machine that could 'teleport' you to Mars by taking a perfect 'picture' of you and replicating you down to every atom and hair in the machine on Mars.
But then you wake up and you're still on Earth, and the scientist tells you "you have 5 days to live, go out and enjoy your life doing whatever you want."
Do you live on, or have you died? Is that clone even you; and if it is, is there a soul?

in fact he's a math & physics scientist & a philosopher. among other things.
and well, there might be something/someone which created universe or ignited something to make it exist. who knows. but that's not enough of a reason to teach intelligent engineering at school for example.

Well, there is evidence that the rate in which the Universe is expanding is slowing down, so at some point in time, the expansion will cease… you know what happens next...

it would begin to get smaller then completely break down, then after millions of years reform?????????
i duno but maby the big bang is when the universe had previously stoped to grow…..... this stuff hurts you head

very good things.
WOW they realy screwed the hell outa the bible
this the one you want me to read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Universe_in_a_Nutshell
That's a decent read… prepare to have your mind blown!
This reminds me of that episode of Family Guy where Peter made a big deal out of a piece of paper blowing in the wind.
It was a bag, actually. ^^
The question is if it was a paper bag and in which group it would primarily belong to.
A bag is different from a piece of paper as it can contain things whilst a piece of paper is a piece of something that is made out of paper.
Whilst you would immediately think towards the piece of paper, there arises another question, what "paper" is. Some people call litter "paper" so if you were to be like that, the bag/paper would be classified as a paper unless someone was observing the bag/paper for a certain reason in which it would not be a litter/paper, but the chances of finding such a person would be very hard to it is assumed it is a bag/litter/paper as the bag/paper is no longer serving it's baggy purpose of bagging baggable objects…
etc etc etc
I think I'm over-caring, nope wait thats something else.
