Don't even start to look for any kind of logic in those censoring stuff… In fact, if you look at it legally, 4Kids shouldn't even be allowed to change it, since it's stated by law, that television isn't allowed to downplay pain… But by showing Luffy punching somebody and cutting the scene his opponent is spitting blood, for example, is called downplaying the impact of pain...

Hopefully all will be good in 2009 when 4Kids contract expires and a new dubbing company picks up One Piece. I'm really leaning towards FUNimation picking OP up. Every anime they've dubbed besides Dragon Ball Z has been very well done. Besides, even if it sucks, we finally get the uncut Japanese episodes with subs on DVD.

It is, I believe. A lot of the Anime names we see are common names in Japan, except for the bizarre ones, like Luffy.
For example, Sakura means Cherry blossoms; it's a common name. Ryoko means Pretty girl, and is also a common name.
