After reading Chlodwig Shillingsfürst's Lunar theory, I really wanted to know how many days have passed since Luffy first left on his quest to become Pirate King. I started watching the anime again and its been making me wonder even more so I finally decided to try to figure it out by skimming the Manga chapters and paying close attention to the time they spend travelling from one island to the next etc… I just started and right now I've only reached where they reach Whiskey Peak so here goes.
First off I will be making assumptions and for the days they sail and have no mention I will add on to the day count marked by X. Eg first time they sail that have no mention of days will be X1 then next will be X1+2
I begin at Ch.1
Ch.1-3
Luffy Departs from village
Luffy gets sucked into whirlpool
meets Coby, sail to island with Zoro
meet Zoro, departs
assuming happens in one day --------------------------------------------------Day:1
Ch.7
departs with zoro, same day
Ch.8
on boat with zoro, Luffy and Zoro mentions
being really hungry (time passed?) attempt to hunt bird -----------------------------X1
(but Luffy always hungry, but I am will still add X)
meets Buggy, being of Buggy arc
Ch.21
leaves village with Nami -------------------------------------------------------Day:1 + X1
Ch.22
meets Gaimon (AFRO POWER!)
Zoro mentions hes still injured, so sleeps on boat

Ch.23
arrive at village where Ussopp is
Zoro: Been a long time since I last stood on firm
ground (makes me assume at least a day has passed) --------------------------add one day
Ch.24-41
there is a night of planning against Kuro
next morning the showdown between Kuro and them so -------------------------add one day
there is mention by a villager that it is already 7:00am
with no Ussopp screaming lies so this leads me to believe
that Strawhats had plenty of time to rest and Kaya to
prepare Merry, Strawhats leave -------------------------------------------------Day: 3 + X1
Ch.42
sailing, makes flag, decides to leave for Baratie
time passed? (assuming no cause I'm assuming
Luffy is too excited about making a flag and cannot wait
till next day)
Ch. 43
Arrives at Baratie, again assume same day

This one is good, we actually get a clear indication
as in one panel it says

Now this part is critical, in the manga there are
boxes saying days have passed, eg.
"day by day they never stopped celebrating"
Now it dosent say how many days but in the
ANIME (eps 44), Zoro says its been 3 days now, how much
longer going to last, etc. although this part is filler
Im gonna assume 3 days. Next day they leave.
Assuming party starts day after they beat Arlong,

still storm, travelling to Reverse mountain
end up in calm belt, day there so assuming it wasnt night
time but just a big storm, climbs reverse mountain

Alright thats where I am now... need to start homework...
Also if your going to say something like, Wow get a life, all this only took me 30min. However typing all this up was a pain so Im not gonna bother will grammer and spelling. When I have time I'll continue but please if you have anything to add or correct that would be great! I probaly should make it more organized...
Also, if I assume X1 to be roughly 3 days, Chlodwig Shillingsfürst's Lunar theory is really accurate! I just want to mention how that Chlodwig Shillingsfürst's Lunar theory so far has matched the data I've collected so far. When I first read his lunar theory I was really impressed and now I'm even more impressed with it.
On a sidenote, I just wanted to mention something. I remenber there was some question about how long it took Mihawk to travel to Shanks after he left Baratie in one of the threads (forgot which one). Since Mihawk left Baratie at day 5 + X1 and at chapter 96 we see the meeting it was 3 days.
