The great thing about one piece characters is that in the whole ONE PIECE univerese, the characters are so special and each one has a specific mood and character, that fans are to be liking them. One great thing about one piece characters is that fans dont have to like the main characters all the time like Luffy,Zoro,Sanji, they could also like the semi main characters like Shanks, or Ace.
And some times even like the bad guys like Crocodile,Kuro, Arlong,Buggy.
That's how deep Oda puts his characterizations on the characters…
