Whoever made the Brooke wiki page, I'm assuming he did it based on my translation, so I feel responsible to point out a few things:
Brooke and his ghost ship didn't appear right after the SHs triggered the flare signal, but after they got caught in the storm and managed to run away from it. Though it is highly probable these two events are linked.
Brooke said he "hasn't seen livings for more than ten years" or "tens of years", not exactly ten years.
Brooke didn't board the Thousand Sunny (yet), Luffy, Sanji and Nami went to his Ghost Ship to explore, and met/invited him there
That aside, here my thoughts on the chapter:
Thousand Sunny owns, absolutely loving this ship now
Page 13 top panel, everybody, including zoro, is shocked and has face faults, except Robin, who is still calm as always >.>
Same page, however, at the bottom, Zoro looks pure evil XD

That's true. There is a pirate symbol painted on the sail. I wouldn't have noticed that, ever.
This may mean he was a pirate captain even before he died. On the other hand he instantly accepted Luffy's offer. Strange for a captain.

Good catch with with Brooke's flag, I couldn't find it.
So, the soldier dock system consist of a transformation from sail boat into a dual paddle wheel boat. I think we can assume that there is the ability to add a third wheel to underneath the bow of the ship and allow for over land travel. Seeing them tool around the redline on a giant three wheel buggy should be fun.
Also, who would have thought that when brooke asked to see nami's panties, she'd let him?
Nami gave Brooke a high roundhouse kick to the head while wearing a miniskirt. There is no way that he didn't get a full panty shot. This only goes to show that brooke is a strawhat as everyone else has already seen her naked except for franky (Alubasta Bath house.) But she's seen franky naked which ought to make up for it. Nami's such an exhibitionist.

The flag on his very massive ship seems to be of himself. - He's clearly a captain, either self-proclaimed or one in his past life. Judging by the size of the ship, swords and chests on it, Captain Brook must've been pretty big.
He's getting that tea from somewhere anyways.

I think that Brook will join for real actually, even though he will be the fourth black haired person to join… But why I think he will join is because of the way he joined, both Robin and Franky joinings were special, with Franky first we though he was a villain and then the other characetr Paulie who also seemed have alittle chance to join, and Robins chocking joining and then this guys comes up from nowhere and joins... And I think he will have a pretty deep character with a tragic past ofc.. and bit by bit he will remember different things during this arc when he travels with a happy crew and then at last he will remember his past and then remebering what he was strving for. And the cool part is how we will see how he looked when he was stil human..
I rembering Oda said that magic will not be involved in OP.. so I wonder how did he turn into a living skeleton?..
His name also fits very well with the strawhats, since no other person has a similair name.

I like Brooke. He seems like he'll be more of a temporary travelling companion like Johnny, Yosaku, or Vivi than a permanent member (the "can't leave the triangle" theory sounds plausible), but if he does join I won't complain. Sunny transforming was cool as well.

I have one question. After reading most of the posts I have gathered that most of you guys love Brooke. I am no exception to that, his boney charm has pulled me in and I love the damn guy. I mean he tipped his hat to them for god's sake! So here's my question.

Hey Boiga, I won't dispute that Nami's an exhibitionist – but when has Zoro ever seen her naked? ... wasn't it Eyelash ("the pervert camel") who got smacked by Nami's Happiness Punch -- not Zoro?
Since people seem so surprised whenever I mention this, I'll link the manga pics to prove it:
If you look closely at the pic where Zoro is washing Choppy, you can see Eyelash soaking in the water (in the distance near Usopp and Luffy) -- but because Eyelash looks like a statue, it's easy to overlook him and assume he isn't there :

Steam partially obscures the bodies and faces, but there's no mistaking a camel for a camel! And Zoro looks nothing like a camel!
(As to WHY Zoro wouldn't be interested in seeing Nami and Vivi in the nude ... well ... everyone has their own theory, so there's no need to elaborate here).
Makes me laugh like crazy whenever I see that scene -- I wonder why Zoro's absence is so difficult for others to notice?

I don't think Brooke is responsible for the killing people who enters this area. He said he hasn't seen a live being for 10 years. If he does indeed kill them, then he should be seeing live people quite often.
.Did Kokoro-san said that Floral Triangle is ascary place… and u know what.. every body know no one has return from the triangle..so, why should everybody still accross the triangle every years? more than 100 ship known to be missing there and maybe that scared people out and nobody trying to reach there for more than 10 years....
Of course roger has passed the triangle safely but it was 22 years ago.. and so far we know nobody hav reach raftel yet after that.

Am I the only one that thinks having Zoro as lookout seems like a bad idea? He'll take a power nap, then BAM! Iceberg. And there's probably only enough lifeboats for women and Usopps.
Also, I am dissapointed that all the male strawhats have changed back into their usual attire. Even Sanji.

But seriously, I just saw that Brooke now has his own Wiki, so everything's cool. But, I'm beginning to understand his design more. First off, the hair and hat is Slash, we all know that. One of Oda's fav movies was The Nightmare Before Christmas, so he could be like Jake Skelliton (he's the same height), and one of Oda's fav musicians is Brooke Benson.

No, the strawhats don't need a buttler. That would be useless. Sanji is pretty much a buttler to Nami and Robin, and the men are too yelling at each other for comic relief to have needs to be catered to.
Luffy actually asked the guy to join his crew. Nobody is a permanent member until he's done that and once he has there's no refusing him
Luffy still hasn't gotten the musician he's always wanted in his crew so I can imagine he'll be filling that part in. Just you wait till he whips out his whailing Guitar!

Igalsfy – I once thought that too, until I bought the tanko. Here's a higher quality scan of the line-up where you can clearly see that it's Choppy's hip and not Zoro. Choppy is doing his "hiding the wrong way" thingy, but this time horizontally, not vertically.
As for commenting on the actual chapter – I'm still thinking about it. Also waiting for Stephen's translation.

no, its not possible : don't forget they must follow a log post, they have to pass through the florian triangle to travel between W7 and Mermen Island.
