well the only thing seperating BB from a schichibukai position is time,like franky joining,since ace's bounty propably is bigger than luffy's or if it isn't it's at least bigger than 100mil berry
also he is far more worthy of this position than crocodile who he would pawn easily
i would like to see garp's and dragon's reaction though i hope oda shows us that the time BB tries to finish ace off dragon appears and saves the day!!!
and i am fully disappointed in ace,i thought he would lose but not that easily
at least we might see an ace flashback (childhood years and the way he got his fruit and met WB)

Oh yeah, also, if the major event IS a pirate war, it is a perfect time for the Strawhats to go to Mermen island. I was wondering what kind of thing Oda will pull to make Mermen island as long as Water 7/Alabasta, and the war affecting underwater might be it. Either that, or the war has NO effect on Mermen island, and something else happens. Both have the chances to be epic.

So I'm guessing next chapter we get back to the Strawhat adventures. Which means it's Jinbei time.
As for this chap, best fight in OP in a good while. The art was excellent and BB's powers were just great. Good to see Ace putting up a fight and not getting totally owned like we initially thought.

Maybe the Strawhats will go to Merman island and be there while the war starts. They'd know nothing about it, but then when they move on the news about Ace and the war will reach them and when they get involved in it it'll already be going on for a while so they jump into action right away.
And I really wanna see WB get real pissed, and most of all I wanna see the look on Sengoku's face when hundreds of attack ready Pirateships turn up infront of his doorsteps.

impact = punch/kick etc…hmmm his power seems really cheap to me...but Im sure WB, shanks etc will have equally ridiculous powers
I think this chapter also settles that Akoiji is alot more powerful than ace...ut then I knew it anyway.
Anyway, I think we will learn in the future that there are certain boundaries and weakness to BB power. Even ones that he hasnt forseen

WOW! I just wanna give tribute to the most badass character thru One Piece yet, name is Portgas D. Ace.
That is one freakin' cool guy, to be able to smile thru battle and stand for his principles. Man, to be honest he looks like shanks without the frickles.
Anyway, for Ace to die would move the plot forward and would make Luffy go thru the whole sad shit that almost everyone in his crew gone thru.

I think we will be waiting a little less than 2 years ( if Oda wants to answer it after next arc). I believe that Strawhats will enter New World in chapter 500.
Anyone else think that space pirate's clothing could be made of rubber and Enel's attack won't affect him.

Yeah he got more than that as someone said, he got a good hit on the neck. Not enough with that the first he gave was a really good one, because Ace was off guard, so he took a pretty powerfull punch there.

I think that very much indicates that he lost, I think BB overdid it…. by killing Ace. That would explain why he didnt go after Luffy after this fight. He got a muuuuch better prey than Luffy to show off. He got Luffys older brother, Portgas D. Ace, second division commander of the White Beards.
With that he should be able to join the Shichibukai and WITH THAT WB 's crew and Shanks's crew should want to go to war against WG! (That makes this the trigger for an all out war between Pirates & WG)

There was a topic a few months ago about the Strawhats versus Blackbeard Pirates. In it I commented that I wasn't really looking forward to that battle as BB wasn't that exciting a character to me. I now humbly retract that statement and say that BB is among my favorite villians now
