What in the blazes are people saying about Smoker being a Commodore? It never stated that in the manga, EVER. Its to the point where its pissing me off because people are taking it for fact. Show me in these two pages where someone states, "Commodore" Smoker or "Leiutenant" Tashigi:

Amusingly they state "CAPTAIN SMOKER" and "SERGEANT TASHIGI" during these two pages.

So someone please tell me why people are saying things that are simply not true. It makes me a sad panda. :cwy:

Wiki is constantly changed, sometimes by correct officials, others by noobs who read "Smoker is Commodore" assume its fact, and change it as they see it.

FrankyHouse Translation is usually the first to release translated manga, which is why I use OPMv2. FrankyHouse is on the scantilations page offered on this forum too, so its not a fake.

The OPHOST Translation and others do state Commodore and Ensign.

What I don't understand is how Smoker was patient enough to undergo a Ceremony, when the last time we saw him he clearly told off his superiors. :wassat:

I'm tempted to ignore fandom and wait until the anime episodes are released (whenever they decide to catch up). Depending on how they address Smoker and Tashigi then I'll know for real.

Not only does Stephen's translation say so, the original Japanese says so. Reason enough to call Smoker a "commodore"? Would this not make you the noob now for using English (badly translated English, at that) as your sole proof that we're all noobs? ;-)
