Finally got them off after four years! lol I have to say retainers are more annoying than braces tho <_< But it's still nice to have them off.

No. Thank god i have perfectly straight teeth, the same can't be said about my brothers though, my parents are thinking about getting bracers for the both of them.

I got mine off last november! :) Actually, there's a bit of an orthodontic horror story to that…...

I was in the chair waiting for the lady to come take off my bottom braces. As she started clipping them off my teeth I noticed that I had never seen her before. She was a orthonoobie. Anyway, after the brackets were gone she got down to the nitty gritty of scraping off all the remaining glue. When she got the the foremost bottom tooth of mine, the glue apparently wouldn't come off. Well, I play trumpet see? One day, long before I got my braces, I accidentally chipped that tooth just a tiny bit while bringing my trumpet to my mouth. Apparently the glue had fused or somthing to that chip. Since it wasn't coming off, I told her just to get it over with because I felt like my head was going to explode. She gave it a big pull...... and 1/4 of my tooth got ripped away. Yeah... that hurt.... Besides the few tears of pain that leaked out, I seriously felt like crying when I saw myself in the mirror. But then the head ortho lady came in and patched my tooth up with some cement and stuff so now you can barely tell that it's missing unless I tell you and you look up close.

i had braces and just about everything else they could think to put in my mouth. but they have been off now for like5 years :D

I have braces. I had them a few years ago and got them off but now I'm on my second phase. :( They scar my gums a lot.

I have brace currently but am getting them off in december. It sucks because they have been on since my sophomore year in HS, and it has taken until my junior year of college for them to get nearly done.

I did in 7th or 8th grade. And I didn't ever really wear my retainer, so I could probably stand to get them again. But the hell if I will.

I used to. I got them off about 6 months ago after having them on for about 3 years. Good thing too, because the wires were really cutting up my mouth and that made it hard to eat. I have a retainer but I only wear it when I sleep.
