I've been wondering about usopps seemingly varying levels of fighting abilities he manged to hold his own against luffy and was calm cool and collected while doing it but in his next fight he was back to running aroun like a chicken usopp happens to be my favorite character but how is it that his power fluctuates so much?

On topic, Ussop's power is mostly status effects. Blindness, distraction, discomfort, and the occasional explosion. Also, he shoots people in the face a lot. At close range, he has the Usopp hammer and impact dial.
I think that generalizes everything.

Considering the sheer number of Usopp topics that exist (seriously, just search for Usopp in thread titles), I'm going to have to lock this, particuarly since I don't think there's much to discuss on this particularly, and inevitably it will just turn into another clone of the other threads before it.
