Genetic Narcolepsy…

Hey guys, I was thinking about Luffy's family over the past few days (Garp, Dragon, Ace, etc.) And I thought of something. Their family has a very bad case of narcolepsy. lol. Ace's seems to be induced by digestion and consumption of food in general mixed with conversation. (Chapter 157 and 233) Luffy has fallen asleep so many times I can't even count, usually in the middle of a conversation, or when being beaten by a loved one. Garp seems to be the same way…being engaged in a heated conversation...lets just say they fall asleep at very innapropriate times.

Now, stay with me here, who wouldn't love to see Dragon fall asleep at his reunion with Luffy! I for one would most definetly piss my pants with laughter. Although...it could very well skip a generation...like most genetic disorders usually do. I still think it would be very funny.

I guess I'm just curious to see if Dragon has any of the "Family" traits. Excessive eating, yelling, narcolepsy, insane physical strength (thats a given though), and basically overall...well...retardedness I guess. I know Dragon is supposed to be a revolutionary and all...but I would love it if he was just as foolish as his father and sons...(possibly son...Ace doesn't share the Monkey name...so he might be from a different mother...of course that would mean that Dragon is some sort of ladies man...which isn't a bad thing at all. )

Not exactly a new theory but I just have one question for everyone, and I am genuinely curious about this.

In what chapters are these scenes where Luffy has randomly fallen asleep? I know people tried to say that Luffy fell asleep in Alabasta but that got quickly countered by the fact that he got stabbed and dehydrated so that wasn't narcolepsy. It was more like he fell unconcious from fatigue, I mean there's only so much damage the body can take before it's forced to shut down and try to heal.

So other than the recent Garp/Luffy interaction, when has Luffy fallen asleep from out of nowhere like Garp and Ace?

This exact same topic came up a while ago.

Narcolepsy is when you fall asleep randomly, Garp and Ace have both shown signs of this, but Luffy hasn't. For instance, Arabasta was already brought up, so I'll go onto the latest time he fell asleep randomly. Keep in mind that he had only just gotten up from when he fought Lucci, so he could have still been tired.

Maybe this kind of thing skips a generation or something…

Every time that Luffy's fallen asleep he's been understandably knackered. I really don't think he is narcoleptic.
