loved the first series, thought Traumend was medicore. Luckilly, Overture mostly made up for Traumend's faults.
I really just thought that Barasuishou was one of the lamest, poorly written villians in any anime I've seen. The rest of the cast is gold in my eyes though.

Really? I thought the exact opposite. The first series had too little plot and too much chibi crack. Not that I don't love the chibi crack, but Rozen Maiden /has/ a dark side _, which almost went unnoticed with all the episodes spent on the main cast being happy and drinking tea and watching puppet shows on TV together.

I don't really mind her. That's the kind of character she was meant to be - an empty shell with no personality who bends to her creator's will. Even though he loved her, she was nothing more than a tool created so that he could surpass Rozen. I really did like Enju though, and Shirosaki was way cool. I find it a shame they're all fillers, really.

Sugintou-chan of course ^^ And it increased 6 fold after seeing Rozen Maiden Overture ^^ First time I seen sucha cute smile from her.
But yeah, this series is nice and I love it ^^
I like the twin dolls the most, Suiseiseki and Souseiseki.
Oh yes, the OVA was awesome [although the anime people are digging theirselves too many plot holes and I've no idea how they're planning to come out of them] and so is Gin-tan. She's my favorite character. I love Suiseiseki as well, but Souseiseki ended up being a total bitch as the series advanced. >_>
