Mihawk on Whitebeard crew???

in this page WB is talking to shanks and in the bottom he is saying that the days of shanks dueling with hawk eyes are still fresh in his ears

but how could WB see mihawk and shanks duel?

shanks was on roger's ship and mihawk's past is unknown so WB couldn't have seen shanks fighting except when they were fighting roger

and when he sais "the days" he means that it happened more than once (well we obviously know that) and he saw more than one fights

i think WB has seen those 2 fight many times cuz mihawk was a trainee in his ship like shanks was on roger's ship and they became rivals like roger and WB cuz of the constant duels

so maybe when roger's crew was split,mihawk prefered to leave and continue dueling with shanks instead of chasing one piece in a crew that no one would dare to challenge anymore so his swordsmanship abilities couldn't raise anymore

It's just stupid to think Whitebeard would go out of his way just to watch Shanks and Mihawk fight unless Mihawk was his subordinate and he was watching a great young swordsman fight another great young swordsman (Shanks).

I don't think its the case… It may be the aftermath of the two fighting had echoed through the GL (metaphorically speaking). Its like two countries going to war, the rest of the world isn't involved but may know about the brutal conflicts going on in said countries.

well in nami's flashback,8 years ago i think,we saw arlong going to cocoyashi after jinbei's crew was split in order to become a schichibukai

now either the schichibukai were made then or jinbei replaced someone

If the case was that WB saw the duels he would have said the dueling days are still fresh in his eyes or memory

Personally I think Hawkeyes was from Roger's crew, like many people have posted before. There would be little reason for Hawkeyes to leave Whitebeard (Ace's devotion is a good example of why Hawkeyes wouldn't leave) since Whitebeard's still around, while the death of Roger could have made Hawkeyes strike out on his own. The duels of Hawkeyes and Shanks could be when Shanks was seeking out Hawkeyes to test himself against a former crewmate, when Shanks was still improving his skills.

First of all, pirate crews are always supposed to be enemies to one another. Whitebeard and Roger were rivals, but they respected each other. The same is true for Mihawk and Shanks.

Anyways, if Shanks didn't immediately leave and form his own crew after Roger's death, he could have joined Whitebeard for a while and dueled Mihawk who was on another ship.

But in the end, I suppose the most logical explantation is that Mihawk was on Whitebeard's ship.

I was saying the they fought each oher when still cabin boys. When they got stronger and left those crews, they continued to duel. Those are the "legendss" of which whitebeard speaks.

People forget what Shanks was seen doing after the captain's death on that same day. He was asking Buggy to go with him and join his crew. He was not a cabin boy then, but a wanttabe pirate captain.

I believe he only joined Whitebeards crew to help him on his goal, he had no other reason to being a pirate other than that. Remember that there is no proof that one has to leave their crews when they become a shhichbukai. So for all we know Mihawk may still be a pirate in whatever crew he was in.

well judging by WB's and roger's crew there were a lot of weaklings and amongst them strong nakama,so shanks must have been considered one of the strongs in the crew

though i agree that mihawk joined the schichibukai cuz he was bored of being chased around,he also seeks fun in order to kill time (as could krieg also say!)

also WB not reaching raftel till now might mean something,maybe they knew that they couldn't find one piece easily like roger so that made mihawk less excited

maybe raftel is a moving island and only poneglyphs state it's location so only roger (and luffy) could find it

Like I said speculation! Nobody knows how long Hawkeyes was the strongest swordsman in the world, an old pirate like a Zeff (Red Shoes) considered him the best. Also it is very possible for Hawkeye's to be from Roger's crew anything is possible. Like I said before Hawkeye's background has YET to be revealed…....

i agree,mihawk wasn't borned the world's strongest swordsman,he was like zoro but he and his rival were on extremely powerfull pirate crews

also mihawk becoming rivals with shanks was more likely to be cuz both he and shanks were talented young swordsmen aiming to be the strongest swordsman and they fought constantly each other cuz their crews were fighting very often and maybe they both had the titles of the most promising nakama

There isn't enough info at all to say Mihawk was in whitebeards crew. At least shanks has been stated to be in gol d rogers crew.

I personally think mihawk wasn't in any of the two crews it just seems too unoriginal and typical. To me mihawk was a loner who strived to become stronger without wanting help from anyone
