We've seen all of the big crews send a member off on a solo mission (Rockstarr => Whitebeard, Lafiette => Maryjoa, Ace => Blackbeard). Who would you most like to see sent for the Mugiwaras? Who do you think Oda would most likely send? What sort of mission do you think it would be?

We already had something similar to that with Whiskey Peak. Zoro soloed that one pretty well…until Luffy got involved, and Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine kept interrupting.
But to answer your question, I'd like to see Nami get a solo mission. But Oda would more likely send Sanji, as he's got the 007 "street cred" established.

Depends on the mission, Usopp for scouting, Robin for assassinating(Yeah, the SH crew would do that
), and Chopper would be pretty good for undercover stuff too. Most likely it would be Sanji though. T-T -
Kinda depends. All of them could work. Sanji would probably be good at sneaking and fighting if discovered, Nami is a trickster and a thief thanks to Arlong ands now she still loves money, but that might give her a weakness.
Usopp always gets disvocered, and has a long nose.
Nico Robin made a great agent for Baroque Works, and infiltrated a ton of stuff thorughout her life.
Luffy is noisy and would fall for stuff, he'd more likely last less than5 minutes, get discovered, and jsut bea tthe crud outta the plkace a smuch a spossible.
I can foresee perhaps needing knowledge of the WG and only one can go.

I could see Usopp and Chopper going, with Chopper being in walking or Heavy point, so that neither of them would be recognized by people that didn't know them

As for my speculations…
There won't be such a thing in Oda's manga. SH just aren't the type of a crew where you have to sneak to some place and do some things undercover.
Most likely, if it had to be someone, it would be Sanji. He's not a freak, he's not dumb and he doesn't have a true Wanted! poster (IMO of course) where you could recognise him. And he actually has an alter ego into wich he could disguise - The Prince! :] -
Robin. She's the best of Sanji and Nami combined.

I highly doubt anyone would go solo since it's One Piece and togetherness is everything, but ignoring that, the obvious choice would be Robin.

Well if you think about it (and this only just occurred to me), Sanji already had a solo mission with the sea train.
I recommend: Peerless Martial God, Renegade Immortal, Gourmet of Another World, Trash of the Counts Family and The Great Ruler

Technically, though every Strawhat had their own "Solo" mission at some point:
1. Luffy: Went to Chase Lucci during Enies Lobby by himself while the others got the keys, Skypeia.
2. Zoro: Events in Arlong Park when he got kidnapped and seperated from everyone else, Skypeia
3. Nami: Events in Arlong Park, during Water 7 when she guarded the ship by herself, Skypeia with Gan Fall.
4. Usopp: Sniping Spandam/marines, trying to take on Franky House by himself.
5. Sanji: Too many to mention.
6. Chopper: Skypeia with Shura and Gan Fall, when he had to go find Franky to tell him about the #2 Key.
7. Robin: Skypeia, most of Water 7.
8. Franky: Nothing real big yet, other than the Fukuro fight.
I called it wrong, so long ago. I guess this needs to be changed.

most of those aren't solo missions, they're just achieving talks in an individual nature. with most of your examples you should include all of their solo fights.
Zoro's a Skypiea had no real purpose, he just got lost along with everyone else as Skypiea. The closest we've really come is with Sanji and the sea train. I wouldn't even really call his Little Garden or Arabasta moments solo missions as they were more spare of the moment, improvisation type deals.

Well if you think about it (and this only just occurred to me), Sanji already had a solo mission with the sea train.
Robin also had a solo mission: her life since her mom left.
This is all just saying though, because like everyone obviously pointed out, there wouldn't really be a solo mission in the group. But as a spy, Robin has everyone beat a dozen times over.

When it comes to a solo mission here, are you thinking of "You stay here and guard the ship for a couple of hours" or "you go over there and kick those guys's asses", or are you thinking of Luffy assigning them to go on a mission to another island or search for another Pirate Crew somewhere in the Grand Line?
If it's the latter one, then I'd say that it's probably going to be either Nami, Robin or Franky, non of the others seems to have any experiece with navigation/sailing/travelling (this without somebody doing the navigation for them) in the Grand Line.
