Now that I've fooled you into clicking that link, I have some Sprite Comics to show.

(Thanks alot to GearSecond who helped me find the sprites a few hours ago)

Anyway, this is my first attempt at any Sprite Comic.

As you can see, I was skeptical of the approach I should take with the first 3 panels. The 4th one, I started to be a little more adventurous with perspective and the text bubble layout, and I was feeling pretty comfortable by the last two panels.

Next time I'll use a much better text bubble.

The total time was about 10 minutes.

As for the script, there was no script, really. I just wanted to try making a Sprite Comic and not worry about those details.

With the second comic, I was feeling a little bit more comfortable.

I goofed up on some parts (Particuarlly Luffy's leg) but I think overall it looks a lot nicer.

Not bad for a first timer, eh?

Nice. Next time for Luffy's Leg try to copy and paste a small portion of it straight, then after it gets longer just copy and paste a longer version to speed things up, if you are using MS paint, remembe rto move te leg to a safe place, if using phosotoshop simply flatten the image than Copy then control+Z back so it's un-flattened.

Yeh, that's what I did. However, I couldn't copy a longer one because they were on two separate layers, and if I flattened right then, his leg wouldn't overlap the wooden bracers.

So I just had to use a smaller one, so I kept copying and pasting, copying and pasting. However, the shadows of the leg led me into giving the whole leg a big slant, and since Arlong was already their at the bottom, I had to direct it downwards as fast as I could.

Next time, I'll think of something else.

For the sripte "comic", I say AE! Thats neat and stuff... I done some sprite cokmics myself too, but I actualy never get any inspiration to continue them after the first "strip"... Or the page, how you want to say it...

Oh yeah, the speaking bubbles on the first one, are really cool, I cant relaly make them good looking how I try myself. Nive going there, keep it up if ya like. :P

Buggy fight in a nutshell.

Not quite as dynamic as the 2nd one, but it felt great to expirement on Motion Blurs.

Although I have no clue how to make the hits more "climactic". Does anyone here know how to create awesome effects like explosions and stuff to help you all really feel it when someone is hit?

really good. I like how you set up the panels. May I make a suggestion though? Your font choise (the gomu gomu no one) doesn't read very well for text in a comic. Can you find another font that might work better?

I'd use that font for something simple like a funky title or something like that, but not for a comic. The other fonts work very well.

yeah… Font chainge. Try Comic Sans MS, its probably the best font to choose for comics... :P

Ehh… I can't believe this is only my fourth Sprite comic ever.

EDIT: Augh. I missed those comments. I'll keep in mind to use a font that'll be more visable, though I still want to use a different font for different characters, kind of like in the fansubs.

I love the fire effects.

To be completely honest, in my opinion Sprite Comicsa arn't…..very good.

but you do a somewhat good job. But I still prefer funny.

I'll stick to my art style though(THe only art I can do that doesn't look like a mutated alien shot by a bazooka numerous times) which you can see in my current Avatar(the Dragon one) which is why I am sticking to coloring the One Piece Manga.

Now if only people will start making mnoiters with pixels smaller than moldecules, we can have sweet sprites and awesome graphics.

Or you know I'd be happy with pixels made 4X as small as they are now, 1/4 size can't be impossible.

I Pm'd you back. Be prepared for a looong read. Let me know if yuo want a few properly written tutorials on the subject, with some pictures. I gave you Cel Shading, if you are truely brave and want to draw your comic differently you might learn Soft Shading, but it's pros only. By the skin colors in your comic, I have serious doubts about your skil llevel in coloring.

I'm sorry, but I threw this together in like, 20 minutes tops. I decided redoing it wasn't worth it so I did a basic example of how it should look. I did a pretty sucky job, and a real job requires a clean slat eof black and white, and more time. If you want this series to go on, I'd recommend you either do it in black and white, or put alot of blead, sweat, and tears into it to get it out quick with quality and a good job. Lucky for you it's only a onepage release. My project requires many pages. Expect each page to take a couple of days to be colore,d and don't forget to make a pallete for consitancy.

Like I said, this was my first time ever scanning inked work. Surprisingly, a lot of work went into it, and looking at it again, I've got a clear idea of what I should pay attention to the next time, around.
