My dad was watching CCN and just like 2 minutes ago, breaking news hit, that Saddam is gonna be hung before 10pm eastern time.
They said that there's not gonna be any live footage of the hanging but there might be pictures later.
Anyone else watching the news right now?

meh I don't watch the news that much coupled with the fact that I don't believe in the Death Penatly means I'm staying away from this.

Me and a few others at a RP board were debating whether he should be executed or get life in prison, i think he shouldve just got life in prison.

If people want to beat off to a dead guy, they can look for photos themselves. Like I said earlier, hangings are nasty business.
I'm not saying that I want someone to do it, I'm just saying that someone is bound to put it up without notice

I was under the impression that we had better ways to go on with death penalties now.

I think they said pics. A news anchor said they were going to post something, but I didn't quite catch what it was. It sounded like he said photos, and I can't think of anything that sounds like photos that would have to do with his death. I remember them saying they were going to be very careful in deciding what material they were going to display.

Now they're saying that they don't know what will be on the video (They sound like they're sure there will be a video). They don't know if it will include Saddam being escorted to the hanging, the noose being tied around his neck, the actual execution, the reaction to his death, or anything.
I remember hearing on the news earlier that there's going to be quite a few videos and photos because everyone knows that the people who don't want Saddam to be dead will refuse to believe it when he is.

Fox News showed video of dead children on Iraq grounds, stating that they were allowed to do so. They continued to question why they could show that but not a video of Saddam getting hung.
I don't think fighting to get a video of a man being hung is worth posting a disturbing video of several children's body in mutilated poses.
