ok, does anybody "play" this "game"? i tried it for 2 days and all i could find is ads, ads, ads and porn. it feels like playing duke nukem 3D without the pigs.
honestly, what's good about having some "second life" if it's all about ads and making money? the real one is bad enough :getlost:

Well, I downloaded it a couple months ago, and… Yeah, it was pretty boring. Except for that parrot. He owned. Honestly though, I prefer to waste my life on Runescape.
Porn was in abundance, which I tried to fly away from, but seemingly couldn't. Damn...
And Duke Nukem 3D was even better than the original Doom. Don't dis it.

Another game I saw ads for everywhere and ended up sucking: Maple Story. What a dull game.
Actually, I didn't start seeing ads for it everywhere until I stopped playing. Har.
Maplestory honestly doesn't get fun till AT LEAST lvl 35, At 25 you're stuck in a god damn rut cuz you try to grind up to 30 but people who are above 70 keep Kill stealing

any game that requires 30 levels before it gets fun is in no way shape or form worth it

Any and i mean ANY MMORPG becomes boring and "NOT FUN" at a certain point where you need to do nothing but GRIND GRIND GRIND, then there is a point you reach where you can enjoy the spoils of war my friend
Second Life was only good as a setting for Portal. Some damn funny bits on that show were done in that game. Other than that, it's just one big furry sex party that guarantees to make your eyes bleed, get pissed at you, and move out of your eye sockets, or your money back.
The Raids in Second life are fucking EPIC though

go there, download it, recognize it's superiority.
Only thing Second life has on There is SL has programming abilities, There only has basic animation that got added a couple years ago.
Truth is? SL is only really big because some people bought proeprty in it and made money. There is superior, and you can still make your own stuff if you want, or jsut buy other people's.
Only problem with There is that some people tend to clutter the world with their PaZ's and dump junk into it.
If it asks if anyone referred you to There just put in Tarookanay.
How about a game where people aren't emotes?
The good about SL: you can do virtually anything.
The bad about SL: you can do virtually anything.
It's a glorified chat program with occasionally interesting things to do (like someone who built a 'full-sized' Going Merry), but suffers from major glitches, crashes, and stupid people.
So, yeah, you can potentially do some pretty cool things with it, when it works… and if you can avoid all the wierd orgy areas and such. >_>
Oh, and yes, the raids are pretty awesome, though practically as stupid as anything else done on the 'game.' =p

I've witnessed irritating things before but nothing quite like that (yet…).
Yeah well the rockets happen in Second Life. People program them to never die, never do damage, bounce you and they leave the trigger to the rocket on their property. You walk or fly by, and BAM it's tracking you.
Never had it happen but it probably sucks. Like 1 kill guns. In There it's paintball, official matches let you "die" and respawn and other than that some spontaniously happen and you can have some fun, but in the end most strikes bounce you away and you can run back.

Quite refreshing. What you are refering to is a Casual furry fan, which i myself am. The extreme furry is the kind that makes people form a blanket opinion about furries. Lumping the casual fan with frightning Fursuits, furry-pedophilie and…...zoophiles shudder The difference is there are always two types of people in any fandom. Ones who keep it a fantasy and the ones who actually belive it is real and make it a life style.

Indeed, indeed (and anime fans are no exceptin =p ). I find it understandable most people would think of furs in such cases. The ones who do that are, after all, the ones who "make the news" (so to speak); it should just be understood that note ALL of us are.
Stuff like 'fursuiting' I'm a bit borderline on (though I wouldn't do it myself), and I suppose in a way (so this stays on-topic) using such avatars in SL could be considered close to that (or just visual RP…?).

But really, the only cool thing I experienced in this game was a chance meeting with Myoti from here.

But might want to consider building it in Teen SL, it's less crowded a bit less laggy and most people on Arlong Park(this one) are teenagers. And anyone else can simply go into it, and never get caught. unless you specifically say "Yeah I'm older than the age thing) they won't catch you. Just know some people here are teens and I know some people's parents will check it out and say "no, use the Teen one" or whatever,
Or you can just build it in the normal one, they can all sneak in or something.
Or better yet: Build it in There, you can and it doesn't suck like SL.
