Did anybody see this yet?
This is probably the best musical since the Wizard of Oz. It was a good film with great acting. I see some Oscar nods for this film when the Oscar time role around.
You should at least rent it when it comes out on dvd or check out on cable. You would enjoy it.
I plan on seeing this myself even tho I'm not big on musicals. I'll watch anything with Beyonce in it.

Eddie Murphey proves again why he is an under-rated actor. Alot of comedians seem to be under-rated until they play a serious role.

I almost forgot about Eddie Murphy, he is indeed an excellent actor. It's so good to see him again after so long. Hopefully he keeps doing more movies (serious & comedic alike).

No it is fiction. And it is actually a remake of a popular stage play in the 80's.

saw the ad last night, looked worse than terrible.
I really wanna see it. The cast is good and I love musicals, so far my favorite are Moulin Rouge and Chicago. This one might beat them since it has proffesional singers in it, and Beyoncé is always amazing!
Not much into this type of movie. A rental movie for me.

After being forced to watch this movie multiple times I just go say this.
EFFIE WHITE IS THE MOST TERRIBLE MAIN CHARACTER IN A MOVIE THAT I'VE EVER SEEN.
In turn making this one of the worst movies, I've ever seen Jamie Foxx & Eddie Murphy's characters were good though.
And also Jennifer Hudson's version of "I'm not going" has nothing on Jennifer Holiday's version.
She won an oscar for that role…lol. I thought she did a good job. But maybe you mean the character and not the acting. Yeah she was a bitch. lol

It's hard to like a movie when the Main Character acts like a complete and utter bitch and more or less sets herself up for all the bad shit that happens to her throughout the film and still remains a bitch even in the ending.
