If you haven't noticed, there's a certain relevance to the devil fruits.

Logias are only held by people of Whitebeard's crew and high-rank Marines, the exception being Crocodile and Eneru, but Eneru doesn't really count and that only supports my theory of Crocodile being a former part of Roger or Whitebeard's crew.

Zoan are only held by bodyguards and people associated with the WG, the exceptions being Chopper and Lassoo. Though in Chopper's case, it's entirely possible that his Zoan was intended for Chessmarimo and somehow was lost in transit to the castle.

I might suggest you've got it backwards. Once you get a DF, it provides you with such a profound benefit, those positions become logical ones to reach.

If you get a Logia, it pretty much allows you to power past almost any competition for rank or power.

If you get a Zoan, it enhances the skills which would be desirable for bodyguarding.

after thinking about it…... fire produces light...... it will eat away darkness.....

but since Blackbeard is confident about beating Ace.....

the more likely thingy that was mentioned by someone else here is that the devil fruit is ash......

then again.... ash doesn't seem to be a very strong element or whatever it is......

^ Actually, Ace's fire did seem to harm Blackbeard. So that means Ace does seem to have the upperhand.

However, Blackbeard probably has something up his sleeve with his darkness, so he'll still pull off a win.

It's going to be as much of a win as Luffy vs. Buggy was. Not a total wipeout, but a large victory. I'm still waiting for the darkness claw!

The only way that Blackbeard can compete with Whitebeard is if the darkness fruit's ability is to literally drain away one's fighting spirit, or whatever it was that Shanks and Whitebeard displayed not too long ago that dazzled Whitebeard's whole crew.

If it can't do that, I don't see how he can beat whitebeard (or shanks for that matter), and if it can, it'd make sense why he was so unwilling to use any other fruit.

2. Whitebeard becomes angry and wants to attack Impel Down for rescue Ace and take revenge, Blackbeard is the only Shichibukai who offers himself to help in the defense of Impel Down.

3. Ace is rescued but Whitebeard crew dies at the hands of one of the Admiral crews+Blackbeard Crew. Teach takes the position of the strongest man of the world, Red Hair Pirates and Ace barely escape from Blackbeard.

4. At the same time of this events Luffy knows Dragon and fights against him in an impressive ark where we know Luffy past.

Hi, I'm new to this forum.

Anyway, I think it would be great if Blackbeard showed us some of his "non-logia" fighting abilities, to show us why Shanks was so damn concerned about Ace meeting up with him. If he didn't know about his DF ability, and if he knew that Ace is a fire logia, that means that BB has the power to beat a Logia even without his fruit.

I doubt it will be shown though. I wonder if Oda even knows how non-logia users will fight against Logia users.

At this point, i'm more interested in the outcome than the actual fight or BB's abilities. While it would be awesome to have the fight and for us to see what Ace or BB can do, something tells me that he's revealed enough of the non-SH storyline for now, so i'm hoping we'll at least get the conclusion of the fight.

Something prevented BB from showing up at W7, as it's been 3 days since the fight, which probably lasted only a few hours. got distracted, forgot what else i had on my mind. oh well… maybe later.

Nah, he probably could take down that HQ unless all three admirals are there at once. Then it's not possible.

But Whitebeard alone could probably take down a nation's worth of an army.

And even if they are, he's arrogant as hell. Probably the type of warrior who doesn't fear death–since he's old already. Whereas Luffy attacked Enies Lobby cause they kidnapped Robin, he'd probably attack the government for calling him gay, i.e. he has a lighter fuse and more confidence.

They weren't afraid of a Shank/Whitebeard combo for nothing.

Or, if Blackbeard just beats him in a fight. He may be stronger. Or…for the "strongest man in the world defenders," Blackbeard could just fight him to the end of Whitebeards stamina. Not that your idea that the fruit wouldn't give him the edge is wrong, but I'm a little sick of the idea that Whitebeard and Shanks for that matter can't be defeated.

He's old, sick and arrogant--though still very strong I'd bet. He's bound to go down sometime, especially with crafty people like Blackbeard around.

Maybe, but it's also said that Whitebeard would do anything for one of his crewmmates. With proper motivation, he'd probably fight anyone, even the goverment. He seems like the type of man to have a lot of pride, seeing as how he boast about his name. When pissed off, he'll make someone pay. It's as simaple as that.

It's not logical, but Whitebeard probably wouldn't be in the way you're thinking. This is a guy who's most likely not afraid of anything. And he doesn't think his era is over yet, Whitebeard barely knows anything about Blackbeard.

He might be bringing Ace, dead or alive, probably alive, to the government so he can become a Shichibukai. That's all he wants at the moment. He has no reason to go after Luffy now. ( Although he will have to eventually since he also wants to become the Pirate King. )

The only real reason why Luffy fought Dragon is because it caused Vivi a lot of harm and therefore he saw Crocodile as a bad person.

Also the Whole idea of Blackbeard giving Shanks that scar is probably only there to give Luffy motivation to kick Blackbeard's ass. They seemed to think he was alright in Jaya, but once Luffy finds out about the scar and possibly Ace, Blackbeard will be goin down.

Also, I think Shanks knows Blackbeard's DF abilities. There are other ways other than fighting that Shanks could have found out about what he's capable of. Shanks could have known why Blackbeard killed in the first place, while Ace didn't need to know. All Ace needed to know is that Blackbeard killed one of Whitebeard's nakama. Shanks seems to know DFs as well since he knew what Luffy's DF would do before he ate it.

Dragon doesn't attack countries for his own good. He knows the WG is corrupt and capable of terrible things (take the Buster Call i.e.) and so does Luffy. Dragon wants to end their reign, I dont see why Luffy would oppose this effort?

Well aside from being deprived of all my favourite shows and manga's over the christmas hols I am pleased to hear that I don't have long to wait until all of them are back on track, but I would really like to see another chapter of One Piece, especially after the way 440 ended.

If we do get spoilers tomorrow then the chapter is out this week as usual, if not then we'll just have to wait until next week or the week after or the week after that until this ends up like Berserk, taking months off just because the artist likes to take extended leave of absences every 3 weeks.

I saw somewhere that the new chapter isn't due out 'til the 18th. Which sucks, because a) we need some more One Piece and b) if I see another crack theory I'm going to commit harakiri.
