Man, I still miss Zim. The worst thing about the cancellation is that if Nickelodeon had delayed it one day, the episode featuring 'Nubs of Doom' (the origin of Minimoose) and 'Invader Poonchy' (an episode where Zim pretends to be a decoy Invader for the 'real' Invader, Poonchy (the Drinker of Hate) in order to distract Dib) would have been completed and aired.

I don't think he'd get mad, he didn't CREATE Zim. He downloads One Piece, after all But considering Zim is available to purchase on DVD, I don't see why torrents are necessary. Buy the DVDs!

Not so sure. Is downloading One Piece illegal, what with it being over in Japan and all? U.S laws don't really apply there…

Yes it is illegal. One Piece has a license in the US, but even if it didn't, it's still illegal. It's not really enforced, and that is why we can all do it without much worry, but that doesn't make it legal.

Ok, yes we are all criminals and logically could be arrested by the police since, like downloading music, this is against the law to share data that originally we are not purchasing.

The chances of any of us getting arrested is close to none. More likely one of the fansub groups would receieve a cease and decist letter first, but even that hasn't happened yet.

True, very very true. Of course now that 4KIDS is not showing One Piece. I will not be surprised if 4KIDS decides to try and elinimate all the subbers just because they can.

I'd say the opposite. Since they no longer care about One Piece, they will care about fansubbing even less.

I don't know about that. I've seen subbed episodes on Youtube removed by 4Kids.

They weren't actually removed by 4kids, they were removed by youtube because a third party flagged it and told them it's copyrighted material. The wording used in the removal is just to intimidate people.

try to stau on topic, we're getitng off the subject. THere was an "is this illegal" thread awhile back, but I think it was on KF, so I dunno. Simply put: if you ever payed for a CD with music on it, for example, in the future you can download it or whatever and it's fine, sicne you bought the rights to own and listen to the music file. THe only problem is proving you bought it, and you arn't allowed to give it to friends.

now replace music with episodes of Anime. If you buy the DVDs from Japan it's perfectly legal to own in on your computer, with subs.

End of story. back on topic, before there's a padlock on this thread.
