I've had an idea which might work here at Arlong Park. What if we were to organise a weekly A-P forum member chat? I have seen it work very well at a few other websites that are around as big as this one.
If so, we will have to discuss things like times, topics and clients. (IRC will probably the best, but AIM would be the easiest to set up.)
I think Arlong Park already has an IRC channel at the main site, but I haven't been on it.
Yeah, It didn't work last time I tried it. But IRC channels are normally pretty random. I was thinking more along the lines of something topical. Like the forums, only chat based.

It might work, I think it should be on saturdays midnight according to the US timezone because it will also enable those living on the other side of the world (aka me) to participate in the chat. Saturday 11 pm should be 11 am sunday here.
The IRC chat is the best. ^^ Me like chatting there.

i was just at MIRC's Arlong Park, and i hardly recognize anyone, and what's worse is that nobody seems to be answering me.

I actually recognize a few names, but still nobody says anything, just some guy who says he hates forum.
And if they are not gonna say anything, why bother going into the IRC??
Because people idle in the channel when they are sleeping or not by the computer. That might be why they are not speaking.
If you start conversation, I think some of us will reply… eventually. Yeah, my name is there 24/7, but only check IRC at night.
