Chapter 1: A New Awakening
! It was a sunny afternoon and Kyuu (Kyuu Hiryu) had just finished training his student.
“Alright that’s enough for today Kagai (Kagai Yokoshima)” Said Kyuu as he resheathed his blade.
“Thank you for the training today Master”
“No problem”
Kyuu turned around to see that Kagai had already disappeared from the area. ”Kagai…He felt eager…what was wrong with him today?” Kyuu equipped four swords at his side and began heading toward the restaurant in town. When he entered the restaurant, a man with a large sword sat at a table in the center.
“You’re late Kyuu”
“Sorry Rajin (Rajin Mizukaze) but I had to train Kagai earlier today”
“He has been asking for a lot of training lately”
“Even more than the usual. Have you found anything about the dead bodies yet?”
“I haven’t to find any suspects that fit these slaughters”
Just then, a man ran in the restaurant and searched for someone. Soon enough he ran to Kyuu and Rajin.
“Lord Kyuu thank goodness you’re here, Kagai is having a street duel!”
“That’s nice, but what of it?”
“This isn’t an exhibition match, and Kagai isn’t acting as himself”
“Take us to him”
The man brought Kyuu and Rajin to a crowd in the streets, and in the center was Kagai and another man with drawn swords. The man in the center positioned himself and said,” You’ve always said you’re good Kagai, now is the time to show yourself”
“You won’t be able to see it, at least…not all of it”
The man in the center charged and slashed Kagai, but Kagai evaded. The man then jumped back to a distance and awaited Kagai’s move. Kagai span his sword many times with one hand and a dark aura formed around his blade.
“Ansatsuken!?(an assassination technique!?)” cried Kyuu.
Kagai then slashed his opponent in an instant and within a quick second the opponent fell; dead. Kagai sheathed his sword and walked slowly out of the crowd as they made way for him.
“ Kagai! Why did you do this!?”
“Simple…it was a real match and he wanted to see my power”
Rajin walked up to the body and examined it. “This body matches those of the victims that were slaughtered”
“I sense fear around me. You call yourselves swordsmen?”
The crowd began to scatter but before they have gotten far Kagai had killed each one effortlessly.
“You too are hesitating Master, why didn’t you protect them? You very well sensed my urge to kill and could have blocked every slash I made toward them. So tell me, why didn’t you save them?”
“ Kyuu! Don’t hesitate now! If you let him go he will not end this onslaught!”
Kyuu didn’t move nor answer. Kagai began to walk for awhile until Kyuu attempted to slash Kagai in an instant but had failed as Kagai parried the attack.
“That style, that technique, why are you doing this?”
“To show my true potential”
Kyuu drew a second blade and attempted to cut Kagai but only managed to slice off a lock of hair. Kagai span his sword once more and gained the dark aura again. Kagai disappeared and reappeared behind Kyuu to cut him but Kyuu blocked the attack with his sword. “The Black Turtle sword; one of the ancient blades.” said Kagai. Another aura appeared, this time on Kyuu’s sword. Kyuu struck at Kagai but failed only to see him disappear and reappear from afar. “The Blue Dragon sword, such wonderful swords indeed” Kagai took out his sheath and began spinning his sword and his sheath individually. Kyuu resheathed his swords and began concentrating. Then within every sword drawn, he began to chant. ”Shichi(7)…Juuyon(14)…Nijuu Ichi(21)…Nijuu Hachi(28)” After all four swords have been drawn each held an aura of a different color. One sword was red, the other white and the rest, green and blue. Kyuu then spoke these words “Yontouryu! Hiryu Kyoha Hou!(Four-Sword Style! Flying Dragon Wave Shot!)” A large blast of visible green wind came out from Kyuu’s sword. The wave moved in the illusion of a dragon and struck Kagai though missing him in the attack.
“Four swords? How is he able to control swords and make them fly around himself?! If I hadn’t canceled my technique and avoided I would have been severely injured.”
“Your speed and actions saved you. No normal person could have dodged that attack”
“Very well then, I’m not strong enough to defeat you yet, but I will someday”
Instantly Kagai vanished without a trace. Kyuu slowly sheathed his swords and turned away. Rajin got up and slowly approached Kyuu.
“We’re going after him, are we not?”
“He’s my student, if I don’t, many people will be slaughtered. I don’t have much of a choice”
“I will be glad to accompany you; this village is rather boring…”
“So it’s settled, let’s find Kagai…”

Chapter 2:The Fire User
! “Hey Kyuu, If we saw Kagai disappear within an instant. How are we to find him?”
“We scout for him, it’s either he finds us or we hunt him”
Just then, a large group of people with weapons stopped Kyuu and Rajin to advance any further. The group looked at each other and then drew their weapons toward Kyuu.
“Excuse me. You seem to be in our way”
What appears to be the leader of the group approached Kyuu.
“Well then, you don’t even look that tough. I wonder why Master told us to hunt you”
“You seem to be in our way”
Rajin looked at Kyuu who responded only with a gentle nod. Rajin stepped forward and stood straight allowing his blade to touch the ground. By doing so every one of them fell at the instant the sword hit the ground.
“That’s a really heavy sword…but it still doesn’t matter!”
“You’re the leader are you not? Why don’t you come at me first?”
“I got you one better, why don’t all of us come at you?”
“Three attacks…that’s all I need”
The whole group charged at Rajin only showing their attacks were too slow. Rajin swept all of them with the Fuller side of his blade. He then dropped his sword once more to create a mini quake. Suddenly he disappeared and reappeared behind the group. When Rajin had put his sword away the entire group fell in bloodshed.
“You cut each of them with only a minor injury, wouldn’t they still hunt us?”
“I don’t feel like slaughtering at the time”
“You’re right, it isn’t necessary to kill them. Though knocking them out would have been nice. They are still groaning and agonizing in pain, that and they wouldn’t have a scratch.”
“I got lazy alright?”
The two began to head into the town only finding that the whole town is empty. Only mercenaries stood in the town in a circle surrounding someone.
“Even if I know who you’re looking for I sure as hell won’t tell you guys!”
“It doesn’t matter now, Kill him!”
The mercenaries went an all out charge only to be felled by fire.
“Hi-Gigei!…(Fire Arts!) Hiken!(Flame Fist).”
The whole crowd of mercenaries fell at the flame of that attack. Afterwards groups three times as big came out from hiding to attack the fire man. Rajin and Kyuu quickly took all of them out as the fire man finished his group.
“Hey thanks for the help”
“No problem. My name is Kyuu, and this is my friend Rajin”
“Well nice to meet ya but if you’re looking for people in this town, you won’t find any unless you want trouble. Everyone left cause of these mercenaries. In fact they were looking for you weren’t they?”
“Perhaps they were”
“You look exactly as the picture on the wanted poster, you’re worth about a good 50 Mil. I don’t want to turn you in though. Don’t worry it isn’t official, at least not by legal laws”
“Thank you for the information”
“It’s the least I can do. Though I want to ask if it’s ok if I accompany you on whatever you’re doing. I’m not that strong right now but I want to be so I can protect people, so they won’t end up like this town did.”
“Just for that reason you could come. We’re hunting an old student of mine who now looks for power. He’s been killing and he will continue to kill unless we stop him. The style he is using is very dangerous”
“I don’t mind helping, I’m a wanderer so adventure is all I want. By the way since we’re now gonna be traveling together my names Kazuya(Kazuya Satoya). I’m a Fire User”
“Well Kazuya, lets hurry to the next town shall we?”

Chapter 3: The Tournament of Fighters
! After days of traveling and fighting the unknown clan, the three finally ended up in a town. The town was twice as bigger than any other normal town they had been to. Amazed and exhausted, the crew took a look around town to find any answers to this mysterious clan and the whereabouts of Kagai.
Kazuya: “I think we should take a break and look for an Inn or a restaurant to eat at”
Rajin: “True but we don’t seem to have enough money for either of the two”
Kyuu: “I suppose we could look for ads in the town for a small job or two”
Kazuya stepped back and leaned on a wall only to find a large poster behind him. Kazuya turned around to examine it.
Kazuya: “What’s this? “The Tournament of Fighters” … the name sounds kinda cheap”
Kyuu: “The prize is 50 grand”
Rajin: “Sounds like a nice time to train and win some money, If only we had some energy”
Kazuya: “You guys smell that?”
The three of them followed the aroma only to end up in the town square finding a man in the center cooking. The group approached the man slowly and inhaled the heavenly aroma. The man looked too nice to be homeless. He wears Karate Gi shirt with no sleeves, black pants, a red bandana around his neck, and bandages on both his hands along with two bandages on his upper legs. The man had just finished cooking three bowls of ramen and handed them to Kyuu and the others. “You needed food right? Take it, free of charge” said the man. The three took their bowls and finished quickly.
Kyuu: “Thanks for the food erm-“
Jin: “The names Jin, (Jin Toshinori) I also see you have a flyer for the Tournaments of Fighters. If you are to enter you may face me in the standings.”
Rajin: “Kyuu I don’t think you and I are fit for this competition. It says here under the rules. We can’t use our blades in there. Regardless if you’re skills are good Kyuu, you do know you will face magicians in the arena.”
Kyuu: “True, if it were fists only we would have a higher chance of winning.”
Kazuya: “Then I think it’s only fair I enter, as you said Rajin this was a chance to train and gain some gold”
Jin: “Whatever choice you make, Best of luck to you”
Kazuya: ”Thanks and you too. Kyuu, I don’t know how many Elemental Users may be in there but I will do my best at winning the prize.”
Kyuu: “No worries Kazuya, but I am also entering with you”
Rajin: “You guys better sign up soon then, it begins tomorrow”
Kazuya: “They also give you rooms when you are in the tournament. So we’ll have a place to stay until we get the money”
The three went to signup Kyuu and Kazuya into the Tournament.
Kyuu: “Kyuu Hiryu, age eight-teen, partner Kazuya Satoya”

Chapter 4: Last Minute Preparations
! “Kazuya, Rajin, I need your help for training. It’s those special attributes you guys can do”
Kazuya, Rajin: “We understand”
The whole crew went to the park and trained Kyuu and Kazuya with some new techniques. Kyuu fails most of his attempted techniques but quickly grasps them. After some training, they soon rest and have some fun at the park. Kyuu showing off one of his break dancing techniques intrigues Kazuya.
“Hey Kyuu, Can you show me that move one more time?”
“The Flare? No problem”
As Kyuu performs the Flare Kazuya studies his movements curiously. After Kyuu was finished repeating the process three times he stopped and gave Kazuya a gesture asking if he got it. Rajin stepped forward and pulled his left arm back, looking as if going to punch.
“Kyuu, remember this attack of mines?”
Rajin punched with his left arm at the thin air and a big gust came about at the speed of the technique.
Kyuu: “Thank you Rajin.”
Kazuya: “Remember to know your speed Kyuu. At a right speed you might even create quite a heated punch only. Though it doesn’t prove useless…”
Kyuu only nodded and the crew all agreed to get something to refresh them selves before they went to their room. The crew eventually came across a Tea Shop and entered it. Kyuu and friends ordered a couple cups of tea only finding it was rather cold. Kazuya lifted his hand and caused a small fire enough to warm their tea. Before the crew could even finish a group of men appeared in the entrance. Kyuu shifted his head slowly to the others allowing them to know trouble was near. A man from the group walked up to Kyuu and smashed his cup. Another person at another table began to take notation of the attack.
Kyuu: “What a waste of Tea”
“Not as wasted as you’re gonna be after this!”
Suddenly Kyuu drew his blade and hit half the group with the back of his sword. Kyuu resheathed his blade and gained a fighting stance.
“Rajin, Let me show you my variation”
Kyuu stepped back for more room to perform the technique only to knock a table behind him and spill a cup of tea on the customer.
Kyuu: “Oh my sincere apologies sir!”
Customer: “Excuse me”
The strange man got up and walked up to a clan member. He grabbed the member and threw him out the window into the streets. Another member of the clan prepared to fire something at the strange man but was interrupted by a dart from the strange man’s gauntlet. A member from the clan began to speak obviously an insult but was halted by the strange man who shoved a piece of bread down the man’s throat. Kazuya began laughing crazily.
Kazuya: “You sir have just been owned”
Rajin: “Owned?”
The rest of the clan and customers scattered out of the shop leaving only the strange man and Kyuu’s group.
Crow: “Name’s Crow”
Crow just then shot an arrow from his gauntlet toward Kyuu. The arrow stopped halfway only to be burned by Kazuya.
Kyuu: “Don’t interfere for now”
Kyuu Disappeared at the very instant the ashes fell to the ground. A gust of air hit the room. Then Kyuu appeared behind Crow and threw a palm thrust toward Crow’s back who only responded with a grin. Crow quickly replied with a heel kick toward Kyuu’s neck. Kyuu and Crow stopped for an instant and then both disappeared only to be reappearing with flashes of hits toward each other. Kyuu kicked Crow’s chest, Crow kneed Kyuu’s Stomach, Kyuu threw a kick 90 degrees up kicking Crow’s chin, Crow kicked Kyuu’s side, and both fell at opposite ends of the shop hitting multiple tables. Kazuya immediately got up and lit both his hands showing both of the two to stop. Crow only got up and left the shop silently.
Rajin: “That would have gone on far too long if it were to continue”
Kyuu: “We should go back to our place and rest up for the tournament, Kazuya and I are the first ones up to fight”
Chapter 5: The First Round

Chapter 5: The First Round
! It was the day of the tournament, and only minutes until the first match began.
Announcer: “Ladies and Gentlemen! The first match of the first round is about to begin! From this end of the arena we have two newcomers, Kyuu Hiryu and Kazuya Satoya! Claiming it’s their first time in a tournament, let’s go easy on them folks!”
Two men walked into the arena, a man wearing a long white robe and another wearing a red robe.
Announcer: “Alright, from the other side of the arena stands Ken Shukun and Ryu Yakunan! Let’s give them an applause and begin the first match!”
Kazuya: “Hey… he made it sound like we’re so weak”
Kyuu: “Why don’t we show them what we can do then?”
Ken and Ryu stood still waiting for Kyuu and Kazuya to approach them. Then without warning the white robed Ryu charged and thrusted his fist to hit Kazuya, but failed only to be kicked in the back by him. Ken then followed suit and too rushed to hit Kyuu only to be interrupted by a gentle shove by Kyuu. Kyuu and Kazuya stepped backwards until their backs had met leaving Ken curious. When Ryu charged again toward Kazuya, Kazuya bent over slightly allowing Kyuu to roll over him and kick Ryu in the face with his right foot. After Kyuu’s full motion in his arms reached back to Kazuya he grabbed Kazuya and tossed him toward Ken at an amazing speed. Kazuya still flying toward Ken tilted his body going slightly over Ken allowing him to grab him and spin again to toss Ken out of the ring. Ken rolled many times and hit the arena wall.
Announcer: “Ken has fallen!”
Ryu ran toward Kyuu again and gave him a spiraling uppercut with his right hand. Kyuu flew straight up at a high point and forced his Body in the shape of a ball and began spinning down at an enormous speed causing light green streaks to follow him. Still spinning Kyuu hit Ryu’s shoulder with his heel causing Ryu to be knocked unconscious.
Announcer: “It seems both fighters are unable to remain fighting, the winner is Kyuu and Kazuya! For an amazing amount of team work and magnificent combat skills!”
Kyuu: “We have four more matches remaining”
Kazuya: “Relax, those guys were easy. Besides what’s the chances of us fighting an elemental user?”
The two walked off the ring and headed to the stands to find Rajin waiting at a corner.
“Why did you use such a move too early?”
“I wanted to test it, the version I showed though wasn’t at its fullest potential though”
Kyuu and his friends went to go watch the next fight at a higher stand. The battle ended quickly with what seemed to be two average fighters. Those were Kyuu’s and Kazuya’s next opponents for their match. Kyuu and the others did not worry too much and went back to their resting area to await their match, only on the way they spotted someone in the arena who used a seemingly blue punch to win the round.
“Even if it’s an Elemental User, Their power is Ice and mines is Fire”
“Don’t get too sure of yourself Kazuya; we might not win if we fight them. For some odd reason I feel uneasy about them”
