well,get backers is my second favourite anime (one piece is my first ofcourse) but they ended it pretty quickly

i mean we never learned why shido was hiding,why kazuki's mother sent him in the infite castle,about the children of fate,what happened with himiko's brother,thunder emperor's real power never appeared and they never battled the gods of mugenjo

i tried to download the manga but i found it only on isohunt and it doesn't provide all the chapters,many volumes can be never fully downloaded and thet are on japanesse too so i didn't understood anything

the differences i spotted are (except some fillers):

there appears one strange woman like a gipsy or something

ginji goes in thunder emperor mode and around him appears a dragon like the snake in mido

mido is a real pervert!

madoka goes crazy and wears a strange cape

the insect master in the anime has nakama more powerfull than him (that arc must have been about shido and why he is hiding)

and there are atleast two more major arcs and many more character (there are plenty volumes and chapters missing)

Now i started this thread cuz i would like to ask for someone to describe me what really happened in the manga after the anime's end (and the real story that was changed in the anime)

i would really appreciate it if someone did that

and who won between mido and ginji in the past and who is stronger?
and did ginji became stronger in the manga? did he call a power from the stars like mido? (cuz i saw some pictures of him that a dragon was arround him)

I want to know as well. I recently finsihed the anime but someone reccomended me to the manga.

if you search in isohunt there are no seeds for the manga torrents and a scanlation team has done to chapter 17 when get backers has over 30 volumes so it will be very difficult to find the manga

i have searched a lot and found nothing and i am beginning to think to buy it from tokyopop or tokotopop or something like that but i don't kno if it is in english

i can't understand daisuke why such a wonderfull anime stopped and nobody cared more to scanlate the manga when anime and manga like wolf's rain,yu yu hakuso,ranma 1/2 etc are more well known than anime like slam dunk and get backers?

The manga hasn't been scanlated very far so you probably can't download it, but tokyopop does a pretty good job on the manga they license and they've done up to volume 16 or so.

I've read a lot of the manga and just to tell you the last nine or so episodes in the anime never happened so just ignore them. The manga has a lot of interesting things in it that the anime doesn't, like the owner of the Cafe they go to, Paul, along with Ban's father were the original Getbackers and he was known as the Gale Emperor.

Mido Ban and Ginji are usually equal in power but Mido Ban's ability to summon Asclepius or whatever its called makes him stronger since whenever he summons it he wins very easily. Both of them have gotten more powerful, like now Mido Ban can use his left hand and perform the snake kill. Ginji can turn into the Lightning Emperor whenever he wants but theirs a chance he won't turn back to normal Ginji.

please tell me more!!! and what about that dragon that surronded ginji?? was it like asclepius?? and what happened with the gods of mugenjo (infinite castle)?? and who won between mido and ginji when ginji was the lighten emperor?? and who defeated akabane since the last 9 episodes never occured? and what do you mean ginji won't turn back in normal ginji??

when tokyopop finishes i will buy it from them (they are in english,right?)

I think the dragon you saw might have been from when he fights Seiryuu Chien, the brother of the girl that died and first had Ginji turn into Lightning Emperor. I don't remember very well but I think the girl was summoned and turned into an electric dragon by a card called the dragon from the garden.

The gods of Mugenjo are Brain Trust and the residents of the top sections. Brain trust was already explained as the people who created mugenjo and run it, they consider Ginji a threat since his power comes from Mugenjo and if he uses too much he'll black out the city. Their are many different residents of Babylon city, even Akabane is once referred to as Babylon City's Kurodou Akabane so he may have lived their. Some things haven't been revealed yet, but might soon, so can't answer everything.

Mido Ban won their fight and is the only person who's defeated Ginji as the Lightning Emperor so far.

Akabane still wants to fight Mido Ban but hasn't gotten to yet, though at one point Akabane was "killed". Ginji was upset and was asking why he had to die but Akabane then just got up, they ask him why hes not dead and he answers "I have never thought about my death, therefore I can't die."

If Ginji goes Lightning Emperor too long then he won't be able to become the normal carefree Ginji. This is why Mido Ban tries to prevent Ginji from ever going Lightning Emperor.

Yes, tokyopop is in English.

this website is the get backers livejournal blog. Although most of the entries they put up there are fanfictions and icons, recently they got some of the latest chapters of gb up. The pictures are in raws but they got a brief summary of what's going on below the pic. Also the chapters in the website is only from the end of volume 36 onwards to the current chapter in the latest magazine in japan. So if u did not read up to volume 36, u may be confused. I don't know why they put chapter title as 65 to 83 although it should have been more than 100 chapters ald but what they have in there are really the latest chapters.

Although there are no scanlations in english in the net, i have found tons of scanlations in chinese. Those chinese websites have all the volumes from vol 1 to vol 36 for viewers to view online.
