AP NYC Trip the sequel?

We will meet at Penn Station near the Krispy Kreme at 11:00 AM, but we'll wait for people who may be coming in late. The latest we'll wait is 11:30. Please PM me if you are coming so we can exchange phone numbers.

For those of you who are fairly new to the forum, last year a bunch of us forum goers in the north east had a little get together around this time. I figure we should do another one, mostly because i didn't get to go last year, and because i'm going to be in New York for most of my christmas break, that being the December 15th to around January 12.

If you know you can't go, DON'T POST. Thank you. If you are interested in going, please post the dates you will be available.

I didn't get to go, but from what i understand there was Karaoke, Chinatown, Japanese food, and going to some arcades.

I'm in the area, but I do not have the funds for a NY trip. Though, maybe some other time. Which brings me to the question; what kind of get together is this going to be? I'm all into stuff like tourism, shopping, geeking out..not so much into a weekend of getting plastered.

(wonders how much a bus/train trip from Toronto to NY is?)

Where'd you go for "the best green tea ice cream in the world?" Chinatown Ice Cream factory? That place is always packed so I've never been, but I have eaten at new green bo across the street.

The best gticitw (green tea ice cream in the world) is some place at the end of Elizabeth with a huge banner outside. It's really tiny but really really ridiculously good.

Well it is the most ideal for a One Piece fan, because it is something would be nice to have and won't be easy to find later on.

I can't go back to new york on the 24th, and i'd like to spend time with my family a bit more than two days. What do you have for next year?

This would be cool, but I probably will not be able to go (No money, ect.).
However, I do wish to see NYC someday (along with many other places).

Perhaps next year we can plan a few months ahead?

I don't even know what the hell is going on in my life for Spring break… so for next year... hell if I know. Plus, not my decision... I didn't say I was going to put this whole thing together. If you want to do it, choose a date yourself.

First make a list of everyone who is interested and have them say dates available.
Edit that into the first post like:

Members interested:
EvilGamerX - between December 23rd and January 4th
XXXXX- between XXXX and XXXX
etc

Find a date that falls into all. Post date. People will say if that particular date is good or not. Once date is decided. Make a time with the people that CAN go. Then set up a meeting place or do the meeting place before the time, I don't know.
If this is to be done, next time it should be planned in like October.

I'm pretty sure that IS Chinatown Ice Cream Factory. They also do a really great lychee ice cream.

My friends and I do a biennial ice cream crawl; Cones wins every year, but those two flavors at Chinatown got a mention.

Anyways… I know I'm not a core member of the forum or anything, but I do live in New York and like to socialize, so if the get-together materializes I'd happily stop by.
