By that I mean stuff like Lotr, WoW, Zelda fantasy. THe only one I found that resembles that kind would have to be Beet the Vandel Buster (and that's on a shit long hiatus). Oh and with none of that futuristic machinery stuff involved.
Any Fantasy manga or anime out there
-
-
MAR (marchen awakens romance) it's by the same guy who did Flame of Recca. It's good
-
IDK if any good or what not. But on the DBZ sets or One piece sets (don't recall, or both)
There was a anime called Ragnorak Online or something like that. It looked like it was some fantasy/video game or something.

Is it the kind of fantasy I'm looking for?
-
Record of the Lodoss War seemed like a sort of generic fantasy manga. I tried reading it, but could never really get into the story.
I loved Escaflowne, though. It's been quite awhile since I've seen it, but it's one of my favorites. Looking back on it, some of the characters were really bland. That never stopped me from enjoying it, though, because the story made up for that, at least for me, anyway.

Well you could watch the anime.
And Berserk (the manga).

there isn't any futuristic weapons and there only source of power are pretty much key chains but don't let that discourage you. It's pretty much fantasy as how you described it.
-
I looked at MAR but it really isn't the proper fantasy, cause I'm not looking for fairy tale fantasy.
-
I've never tried it, but have you tried kingdom hearts?
Glad to hear you're a fan of Beet, that was one of my favorite series.

Yep, the manga really killed the mood of the original game.
-
You might give Sorcerer Stabber Orphen a try. Anything from Japan's Dragon Magazine (where Slayers first saw the light of day) is pretty much the closest you'll find to what you're looking for.
-
Slayers if you haven't already tried it.
-
Blue Dragon: Ral Grado is decent. You might try that.
-
if you want gore, medieval, cruel, slashing fantasy then I'd suggest you start reading Berserk ASAP and I don'ttake no for an answer, I've been reading it for a long time and it is really the best. . . HAIL GUTS
EDIT:
don't watch the anime, it doens't do the manga any good -
^ agreed

Beet the Vandel Buster (and that's on a shit long hiatus).
What is the reason for that? I've been waiting on volume 13 for like a year.

The author is sick.

A good fantasy manwha is certainly Id, which is quite like Chronicle of lodoss war… But i prefer the chara-design here. Plus the lead character is quite interesting.
You can have a taste here :
http://www.onemanga.com/Id/And I disagree with flandrian15 : If you haven't read the manga, watch the anime before. It's quite enjoying (and the music is great). Well the manga is better, but it's a good introduction to the world of Berserk, and when you read the manga, you will enjoy it even more.
-
Rave Master and Mar are pretty good
-
Fire Emblem - Hasha No Tsurugi is really good, I just started reading it.

Say does Id have an official english adaption?
-
No i think not. There's no information about the licence, but i don't live in USA, so i can't be sure. Plus it's not a well-known manwha, so there's little chance.
