Well they fulfilled Sonic and Mario, guess its time for Sonic and Rockman?
SEGA vs. Capcom for NDS? (RUMOR)
-
-
I'll cum. And that's not a typo. Please be true.
-
I'll believe it when I see it, but what kind of a roster can SEGA produce to complement CAPCOM's fighting roster?
…
Holy Fuck, I just imagined Jet Set's Beat fighting Viewtiful Joe. DO WANT.
-
My lord. We're getting closer and closer a video game wide fighting game.
And still no Marvel vs DC game in sight.
EDIT:
Alex Kidd (he was in Sega Tennis) vs Roll
Jill Valentine vs House of the Dead character
Ulala vs Morrigan
Robotnik/Eggman vs Tron Bonne (look at me dead in the eye, and tell me that fight wouldn't be awesome) -
Sounds awesome
I want to see Dr.Wily vs Dr.Eggman -
Guy from Shinobi vs. Guy from Strider
sounds like win to me (well, except the NDS part, but I'll get over it)
-
Strider Hiryu?
That would indeed be awesome.
-
Robotnik/Eggman vs Tron Bonne (look at me dead in the eye, and tell me that fight wouldn't be awesome)
ha ha! yes! yes! OH yes!
-
This really does sound like a bad idea Sega just doesn't have enough notable characters to build a decent roster against Capcom, for no reason at all I making a matchup.
Kazuma Kiryuu vs Phoenix Wright
-
Sega actually has more characters than we know.
Don't forget House of the Dead, Virtual Fighter, and Vectorman.
I hope there's a stage based off of Outrun with "Magical Shower Garden" playing.
-
-
Virtual Fighter,
But how many characters in that series are familiar to people?
and Vectorman.
When was the last time they came out with a Vectorman game?
-
XD
That was too awesome for words.
Just the beginning explosion alone was genius!
@Sandai:
But how many characters in that series are familiar to people?
When was the last time they came out with a Vectorman game?
When was the last time they had an Alex Kidd game? Alex is in Sega Superstars Tennis.
-

Well since they put Pitt in Brawl I guess Sega figured they had to do same even if it came cheaply.
-
@Sandai:
When was the last time they came out with a Vectorman game?
Hoha, that's a 90's classic.
Genesis all the way baby -
@Sandai:

Valid point.
But if Sega made a Tennis game and only put four Sonic characters in it, Sega must be trying to pay some attention to other fans. Vectorman, Alex, and several other forgotten Sega games have been sold on the Wii Console, so Sega must have some rememberance.
This is Sega. They are really desperate for money right now. So if they teamed up with Capcom (the kings of all fanservice IMO) for one game, I can't see it failing. Especially if Sega goes the extra mile.
With Super Smash Brothers, people visited games they never played before (Fire Emblem is a perfect example). SSB is like the perfect marketing game for Nintendo.
Hoha, that's a 90's classic.
Genesis all the way babyI miss when movie, Disney, and cartoon video games were good.
EDIT: Who made Eternal Champions?
-

Right now?
Haven't they been desperate for money since the Sega Master System flopped?
-
Again with these valid points. They're too good for me.
But the point still remains.
Just looked it up. Eternal Champions was made by Sega.
-
Just looked it up. Eternal Champions was made by Sega.
I could've told you that but I was too busy roaming.
-
I miss when movie, Disney, and cartoon video games were good.
Yes, that's back in the good ol days. Disney's Lion King was pretty descent.
Anyone ever play/remember Comix Zone? The superhero you play as in a comic book!?EDIT: Who made Eternal Champions?
Sega, Larsen was my favorite… "PUNK!"
-
Doesnt Sega own Sammy? so we can get character's from there.
-
With Super Smash Brothers, people visited games they never played before (Fire Emblem is a perfect example). SSB is like the perfect marketing game for Nintendo.
well exactly. When was the last time people cared about kid icarus. Sega has lots of charicters. Sega Genesis was just not marketed as well as Nintendo, but it was a great system for it's day, and some people even said it was better than the SNES. I don't know if you were around at that time, but If I count all the people with videogame systems when I grew up, i'd say half had SNES, the other half had a genesis.
-
Wait!
Bayonetta is being published by Sega, right?
Does that mean could get a Dante vs. Bayonetta fight?
-
Actually, that's possible.
If Capcom is willing to put Dante in it.
EDIT: And if this game is real.
-
-
Doesn't Sega make the Bleach video games …......
-
Yeah, but they don't own Bleach.
SquareENIX makes games with Disney, but they do not own Disney characters.
-
TGS is over tomorrow.
Unless it's shown there, I guess it is safe to say that this rumor is false.
-
As interesting as this would be, can Sega really match Capcom's number of characters? We all know how badly SF gets spammed in their games and they still have tons more franchises surrounding that but Sonic seems like the only thing Sega has going for it currently. Are they gonna whip out Alex the Kid and Samba?
Edit: Plus, TGS is over now, no?

Again, look up Sega Superstars Tennis.
Possibilities from Sega:
! Sonic (Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, Amy, and Eggman at minimum)
Dawn of the Dead (At least one character would have to be made to compete with Resident Evil.)
Space Channel 5 (Ulala most definately, maybe Jaguar and some other reporters/dancers. Michael Jackson? That would be awesome, but no.)
Samba
Monkey Ball (Aiai, and the female monkey)
Jet Set Radio (Beat and maybe someone else)
Nights (Nights and her rival.)
Alex Kidd (Again, he was in the tennis game.)
Vectorman (He was to be made for a PS2 game, but that was cancelled. They could bring him back any time they wanted.)
Eternal Champions (Not only is this a fighting game, but Sega willingly put the game on the Genesis selection of Wii Shop.)If you read the above, this qualifies for about twenty characters. If you remember Marvel vs Capcom 1, it had 16 characters in all (including Roll, and not including the BS alteration characters).
The game is for the DS, and it doesn't HAVE to be Marvel vs Capcom 2 epic.
Again, the game is still unlikely, but it is capable of being done.
-
TGS is over, the game is fake.
-
TGS is over, the game is fake.
Yeah, we know. Like I said at the end of my post, I'm stating that the game is POSSIBLE in terms of roster.
-
TGS is over, the game is fake.
SEGA vs. Capcom for NDS? (RUMOR)
Well that should've been the tip off right there.
-
well if they DID make a game, there would be charicters. A lot of you weren't around during the genesis days when Sega was really popular. I wasn't a big Sega fan, so I can't really name any characters off the top of my head, but I know there is lots of selection.
They even made a Namco vs Capcom, and I would think that Namco wouldn't have a lot of selection, but they did it. They even did it without Pacman.
-
^
Back in the day, the only people that I knew who had a Genesis had it for 2 reasons:1: Sonic the Hedgehog
2: Mortal KombatMost of the first-party games weren't even that well known (in my area) until the Sega Channel came out and then emulation.
On the flip side, everyone had an SNES and NES. I never knew ANYONE who ever owned a Master System.
-

they had to do it without pacman, for the sheer awesomness of Ryu and Pacman teaming up would make ps 2's explode worldwide. even of those who aren't playing Namco X Capcom.
-

I was.

Considering how shitty of a console it was no wonder.
-
Yeah, Namco has a crap load of games at their disposal. Old and new.
EDIT: I had a Sega Masters. I mean, yes it was no Sega Genesis… But I had Psycho Fox (amazing game), MJ Moonwalker (amazing game), Alex Kidd (come on...do I need to say amazing game again?), Paperboy (I suck at it), and one other game that I can't remember for the life of me.
No wonder no one knows what Psycho Fox is.
-
-
Sewer shark was for sega CD and it sucked balls. My cousins owned a master system, and they were awesome at Adventure island. (it was called something else on master system, i think) I have a master system myself, I picked up at a garage sale.
-
I had my Sega Masters ever since I was a little kid. And I still have it. It sucked having to reach over to the system to pause, but the games I had were so good, it never bothered me.

I NEED THIS GAME -
-
omg. that game is awesome. specially seeing as it's on the master system. I bet it is near impossible to find.
-
@Sandai:
What the puck?:wassat:
The pause button was on the game system itself. So you could be sitting on a chair with the controller at hand, but to pause (which pausing was often needed to 'pause' or bring up the game menu) you have to reach, or get up, and press it on the Sega Master's system.
The pause button was not on the controller.

It is, but I still have my copy.
@Naked:

I NEED THIS GAMEThis game is a rumor, so there's no 100%. However, I agree. Tron Bonne is awesome.
She's also in Marvel vs Capcom 2, which is coming out on the PS3 network and XBox Live Arcade.
I wish they'd sell it on the Wii. -

What was the designers smoking when they were making the system and the controllers.

It's been rumored so far.
-
@Sandai:

During the time, it didn't bother me so much. Psycho Fox and Alex Kidd had me pressing pause a lot, so I was always close to it.
But now that you can do anything to the system (except change games) from your seat, laziness prevails. And I'm not complaining about that.
@Sandai:
It's been rumored so far.
Really? Damn. I hope it's true.

Sandai, welcome to real old school gaming systems. These were even before the sega master system.
