I think Roman's right as well. Anyone could have written that.

I'm pretty sure the poster or Huber were just joking around. >_>
-
Am I in the minority in liking Eric Vale's Sanji better than the Japanese VA's? My first reaction to hearing Sanji years ago was 'waohhh…. that's way deeper than I thought.' I got used to it, but Vale's Sanji sounds closer to the Sanji I hear in my head when I read the manga. shrug
I do. I love Vale's Sanji. Like the rest of the Straw Hats, Sanji's FUNi voice has surpassed his Japanese voice fantastically. At least, in my opinion.
Much love to FUNimation. They're doin' the Lord's work.
-
If that is true and they were saying stuff like that, I gotta say I lost a little bit of respect for FUNimation. I agree with their views on the matter but people saying things like that is not very professional.
-
Chuck Huber's a freelance guy, his opinions do not reflect those of the company as a whole. Have disclaimers before DVD commentaries taught us nothing?
-
Wish you'd say that to the guys at Gamespot might cure all the butthurt over there.

Since when to people listen? DERP.
Anyways, that is an interesting little bit of info there, though I don't know whether I'm gonna laugh or curse if and when Cartoon Network changes their name. I remember someone on the ANN forums a long time ago saying they might as well change they're name to "Network".
And really? Live action Ben-10? Whats the deal with that?
And that airline food…
-
Ha, I should have known you guys had nothing.
:wassat:
i really wish they'd have more than 13 eps on dvd. still, as long as they come out at all, im stoked.
-
okay, I'm preordering season one second voyage today, had to pull weeds in my yard for three hours so I can get it, but im ordering it. So, has anyone got an early ship of it yet
-
I don't think there has been an early shipment…Cool if there would be, though!
Does anyone know of any good (safe and legit) sites where I can buy/preorder this set and it ships to the UK? (I got First Voyage from YesAsia, but I haven't seen Second Voyage on it yet...So I need a fall back plan if it doesn't show up on YesAsia in the next two weeks. xD)
-
The price for First Voyage on Amazon seems to be having a slight seizure. It's been $21.99, then last week it went up to $24.99, now it's back to $21.99. I planned on waiting to buy it cause I had other things to get and figured this would be around while the other things wont… But if it's gonna start going up in price I best grab it.
I guess I'll buy volume 1 of the Viz manga on Amazon to spike the bill past $25 to get the free shipping. The volume says it's the "first edition", but is it really? Or is it just the current version with "Zolo" and all that?

Even if it is, you might as well just get the current version. You'll only be able to find the first four or so volumes with the "Zoro" translation, and all of the other crappy translations will be in both versions. But I've bought almost all of the Viz Manga and I find it to be very enjoyable.
-
I'm hoping Second Voyage drops to around the 20-30 range by the beginning of October. I'll hopefully have enough money for it by then, seeing how my bday is on the 2nd.

Playusa.com - Same company as play.com, but they sell import DVDs. They don't have Second Voyage listed yet though. Free shipping though.
Rightstuf.com - US site, they ship to the UK. Shipping is 10 Dollars (~£5-6) though, but they tend to ship stuff early. You need to e-mail them scans of your credit card to confirm your identity though :(
I think they mark down the price to avoid customs, but I can't really remember. Average arrival time is 6 - 7 days.dsicountanimedvd.com - US site, they ship to the UK. Shipping was kinda expensive, I can't remember how much it is though. Though my order arrived in 4 days which is really fast considering it came of the US. They mark down the price on the packaging.
dvdboxoffice.com - Canadian site. Shipping is cheap, around £1 -ish. I ordered Movie 8 from them and it took 2 weeks to arrive :( (so did an order from Play-asia so I blame Royal Mail :P, or they might have been a problem somewhere.)
-
I went to hotmoviesale.com and am getting it for roughly $17 including shipping.
-
@The:

bs, it was 27 dollars on that site.
-
Well, I just got an e-mail from Rightstuf, saying that the amount of stock they had of Second Voyage didn't match the demand, so they will not be shipping my DVD out until the release date :getlost:. Not saying this will happen to everybody, but it probably will happen to anyone who just ordered it recently (On Rightstuf).
-
Thank you, Link-San! That's a great help! : ) I'm going to try and get priority mail this time because I don't intend on waiting 10 days again! >.<
(I would love to get it off rightstuf right now, but I'm still weary that it asked international customers to photocopy their passport and credit card. I think it's ridiculous! X_X)
-
I'm guessing the "I believe Brook was cast." thing was their way of saying they're working on Unlimited Cruise without really coming out and saying it yet.
They did the same thing with Franky and Unlimited Adventure, and a few other drops too, like Colleen mentioning the "These pockets are huge!" line at a convention.
-
Here some good One Piece news

Here some good One Piece news
:wassat: Looks again :wassat: Is that a reliable source? If it is, then that's pretty good news. Not Unlimited Cruise-type news. But it's good to see OP is doing a little better than we thought.
-
not surprising its one piece
-
Dude this is reliable since it's on the animenewsnetwork.com main page.
-
That's great news. Especially when you consider One Piece has far fewer DVDs than a lot of titles like DBZ and Naruto.
That should help ease some fears.
-

Then my day has been made.
-
Lol. Pokemon beat bleach.
This is good One piece news.
-
bs, it was 27 dollars on that site.
I found a coupon code for $10 off
suck on that DRAGONFROST
if that is your real name…
-
Nice! Hopefully, One Piece will soon be up in the Top Three, where it rightfully belongs. Good to know OP is slowly coming into its own. :)
Also of note, the VIZ manga is sitting pretty at 17. As much as the English manga sucks, its still good to know its seeling quite well. :)
-
It may take a while but at the pace Funi is going now they may just make it to Thriller Bark in a couple years.
-
DVD-wise, no, but they might make it there production-wise.
-
lol yeah that's what I meant sorry for my stupidity… I should have been more clear.
Anyways I can't wait to hear the english version of Believe.
-
Lol. Pokemon beat bleach.
This is good One piece news.
I don't see how with One Piece sitting ominously at the #13 spot.
-
I think it's great news considering only one set is out and the second set isn't even out until next week, and it's already nearing top 10. : ) (That's how I see it, anyway. xD)
-
Does that mean OP is selling well or that Bleach and Death Note are selling REALLY poorly.
Also does it mean the entire series or just the dvds that came out this month. If OP is already outselling the entire Bleach and DN series, It'd be GREAT news but I doubt it. -

Also does it mean the entire series or just the dvds that came out this month. If OP is already outselling the entire Bleach and DN series, It'd be GREAT news but I doubt it.It's based on DVD sales for the month of May, and, since it has "FUNimation" as its company, it's safe to say that's only counting Movie 8 and First Voyage sales for that month.

-
Well it IS pokemon.
Hmmm…is that good? I mean, technically when OP was releasing its first boxset there SHOULD be a huge spike in sells, while the other series are established and on volumes in the middle of the series so it makes sense they wouldnt be doing as well. And from past experience, different sales polls often have completely different results and stats. Still it doesnt seem all that special. I dont know ANYONE who owns that batman dvd and apparently it's numero uno.
Anyway, the second voyage boxset is number five from last week on rightstuf and it's still weeks away so that IS a good sign.
Also an ad for Second Voyage just popped up on YT and it has the release date as Sept.16th but other places have the 23rd? Did the date get pushed up officially or is there miscommunication?
even the add on the funi site says 16th but the dvd is listed on the site as releasing on the 23rd... -
and one piece. it also beat one piece.
-_-'
Oviousley it beat one piece because pokemon is more popular than it in america. I always thought that Bleach was more popular (Anime wise.) Then pokemon but I was wrong.
-
Pokemon's not as popular as it was back then so that really was a shock.
-
Anything with "Pokemon" on it still sells like hotcakes, though.
This is good to hear, though. OP's a-climbin'!
-
I found pokemon to be too childish.
season 1 was alright, but after that it was the same thing over..and over again.
-
Well duh, it's Pokemon.
-
Well duh, it's Pokemon.
Yeh, but thats like saying dragonball is just the same thing over and…
oh wait...
-
-
@Sandai:
You couldn't come up with a better excuse than that?
How about "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"?
-
I found pokemon to be too childish.

As childish as it may be. There are still some things about it that makes it entertaining to watch. But that's my opinion at least. I've always been able to sit down and watch an episode of pokemon and be entertained.
Maybe I'm just that desperate to watch something anime related. Heck if I know.
-
Dubbed Pokemon sucks.
But the Japanese version is a highly enjoyable show. Cutting edge? No. Damn fun to watch? Hell yeah.
-
I'll also admit, Pokemon is somewhat of a guilty pleasure for me as well :)
-
I thought I'd say, my copy of Shin Chan Volume 2 just shipped from Rightstuff this morning. The thing is, it's shipped a full week early. So I think it's a good indication my copies of OP will be coming next week.
So, just giving a heads up.
-
I just got a message from Right Stuf saying my One Piece DVD has been shipped!
