Chapter 514-End
:D
Wouldn't that be a kick in the pants.
Chapter 513 "I couldn't even…!!!" Discussion

Why is everyone saying that? I mean seriously. This is his only long arc manga he will ever produce; he's going to see it through to completion.
-
Don't know if this has been said before, but anyone think we will see Perona again?
-
Exceedingly excellent chapter from Mr. Oda. I can't wait to see what happens next week.
On a side note, will people please shut the #$%@ up about the stupid Fishman Island. Can you people only enjoy a story arch that's on an island? Are people going to start bitching that we haven't finished One Piece even though we've known about the last island for quite some time? I mean we've known about it for a while, why haven't we gotten there?
Just enjoy the ride, stop being a downer in every thread.

I think because of a few parts of the chapter make it look like it was the end of the manga, maybe.

I don't think thats the reason for it. I think a bunch of morons that have nothing better to decide to go ZOMG this is the end of OP.

Anybody else see Luffy and co being imprisoned in Impel Down? I actually thought up a possible scenario. Note its not real, so don't be critical, its just a possibility:
Luffy wakes up to find himself in a cell with none other than Ace! Ace tells Luffy that he is to be executed tonight.
Meanwhile, Zoro and Chopper are in a cell together (unconscious), Franky and Brook, Nami and Robin, Sanji and Usopp.
Sanji and Usopp run into (of all people) Mr. 2 and 3, leading to a comical battle, before Sanji and Usopp hear of Ace's execution. SH and BW cooperate, on the grounds that Sanji and Usopp also break Mr. 0 and 1 out as well, in a plan to break out of the prison. (Sanji and Usopp only think they are here with Zoro and Brook elsewhere). Meanwhile, Nami and Robin are let out for dinner, only to have a dangerous reunion with Crocodile and Das Bones. About this time, Sanji kicks out the guards, and begins to search for Ace, Brook, and Zoro. Meanwhile, Franky attempts a breakout of his own, but needs Cola. Sanji finds keys to their cuffs, and shockingly finds the Kabuto, Zoro's swords, Brook's sword, and the Clima-Tact, realizing that Nami and the others are here too.Meanwhile, guards arrive and escort Ace to the execution yard, while Luffy begins to cry, realizing that he and his crew will likely be executed as well. Meanwhile, Team Sanji runs into a couple of familiar foes, Fullbody, Jango, and Hina. Bon Clay and 3 attack Hina while Sanji and Usopp take Fullbody and Jango respectively.
Hina has the upper hand on the DF users from BW, but Sanji and Usopp effortless defeat their former enemies. As Sanji and Usopp run towards Ace's cell, they find the girls in their cell. They free the girls with the cuff keys they found as they begin to take off. However, when Robin decides to rescue Crocodile, Sanji and Usopp remember the other two. Nami agrees to help them as Robin and Usopp rescue Crocodile and Das Bones.
As Hina prepares to finish Misters 2 and 3, Nami arrives in the nick of time, assisting her former enemies. She tells them that Robin is rescuing Crocodile, and that they need to find the others. Nami fights fairly with Hina, until she overcomes her with her Ori Ori Fruit. However, Mr. 3 stays behind and rescues Nami, proceeding to attempt to cuff Hina with his Doru Doru abilities, but Hina defeats him easily. Nami grows angry and uses a devastating Clima-Tace move to defeat Hina. Meanwhile Sanji finds Franky and Brook, but Franky needs Cola to be of any use. Mr. 2 catches up and offers to help Franky out.
Nami and Mr. 3 catch up with Robin and Usopp. Nami asks where Crocodile went, but Robin doesn't answer. Mr. 3 leaves the group to find Crocodile. Robin, Nami, and Usopp finally reunite with Sanji and Brook, deciding to split into two teams: Usopp and Brook are to find Luffy, Zoro, and Chopper, while Sanji and the girls go to rescue Ace.
Around this time, Smoker and Tashigi arrive at Impel Down, with news of Whitebeard's defeat, causing Ace to break down, over the loss of his captain. When a guard reports that the Straw Hats and Baroque Works have teamed up to break out of Impel Down, Smoker decides to annihilate Luffy himself, while Tashigi relishes the chance to fight Zoro.
Team Usopp finds Zoro and Chopper's cell, as Usopp carries Zoro and Brook carries Chopper. However, they run into Tashigi, who sees Zoro in a weakened state. She decides to take his swords, but Brook stands up to the challenge. Franky and Mr. 2 finally arrive in the kitchen, but are ambushed by a half-injured Jango (anybody get the relation?) Franky and Mr. 2 dispatch him as Franky finally powers up. Mr. 2 searches for Crocodile while Franky tries to meet up with the others. He arrives to find Brook facing off with Tashigi. Tashigi exhibits much better swordsmanship, and nearly kills Brook, but her sword is blocked by another. Usopp, Brook, Franky, and Tashigi are all shocked to see Zoro awake, albeit in excruciating pain. He tells the others to get out of there, and that he will defeat her. Brook and Franky stay behind to help Zoro, as usopp carries Chopper while searching for Luffy. Meanwhile, Sanji and Robin run into Smoker, with Nami nowhere in sight. Sanji and Robin both fail at defeating Smoker, but a familiar punch does. Nami arrives with Luffy, who the three had found beforehand. Luffy tells them to go find Ace, while he stays behind to fight Smoker.
Usopp arrives shortly, relieved to see Luffy alive. Luffy begins to cry when Usopp tells him that everyone was found. However, Smoker takes this chance to attack. Meanwhile, Ace's execution is being carried out. Mihawk, Doflamingo, and Blackbeard are also watching, as are eight veiled people in the back. Ace begins his final words, and is ready to accept his death, but soon afterwards, unexpected thunderclouds appear and the executioners are struck dead. Amid the confusion, hands begin to appear around Ace, freeing him from the platform. However, Ace is enveloped in darkness as Blackbeard decides not to let the final Whitebeard Pirate escape. Mihawk then leaves, as Doflamingo looks around for the culprits, only to receive a kick in the face from Sanji. Nami and Robin begin taking out large groups of Marines as Blackbeard and Ace begin their battle, as does Sanji and Doflamingo. Meanwhile, Zoro obtains the upper hand on Tashigi, even while only using 10% of his strength. He finally defeats her as he collapses to the ground, prompting Franky to carry him as the three went to meet up with the others.
Sanji has Doflamingo confused, but Doflamingo finds his weakpoint and begins to control Nami and Robin's movements. Against their will, the girls attack Sanji as he tries his hardest not to hurt them. Luffy and Ace are also losing their battles, as Team Franky arrives at the battleground between Luffy and Smoker. Happy to see them, he instructs everyone to help the others as he goes Gear Second. As Team Franky continues toward the Execution Grounds, they come face to face with Mihawk. He effortlessly defeats them, as he prepares to take out Zoro, a cloud of sand envelopes the area. Crocodile, 1, 2, and 3 all arrive to take on Mihawk. Crocodile tells them to keep running, and the badly injured Straw Hats continue on.
Sanji is nearly killed by Nami, but he is barely able to dodge her. Sanji decides to make a deal with Doflamingo, to exchange his life for the girls' freedom. Doflamingo agrees to this, but Sanji lights up Diable Jambe as Robin clutches Doflamingo and Nami destroys his visibility with Fog Tempo, allowing Sanji to knock Doflamingo out with Extra Hache. The eight veiled figures are amazed that three pirates with less than 100 million bounties could defeat Doflamingo. One of the cloaked persons asks if its okay to fight, with another saying not yet. Meanwhile, BW is struggling with Mihawk, who has already defeated Mr. 3. Team Franky finally arrives at the grounds to find everything in chaos. Zoro wakes up and decides to fight as Chopper wakes up, but can hardly move. The eight Straw Hats are then confronted by eight Vice-Admirals, who all nearly destroy the tired Straw Hats. However, each SH is rescued by a cloaked figure, confirming themselves to be the Eight Supernova Captains. Each crew suddenly enters the execution grounds in attack as the eight Supernovas dispatch the Vice-Admirals. Elsewhere, Mihawk finally beats all but Crocodile, who gets serious as he uses his Desert Spada. Meanwhile, Luffy is nearly defeated by Smoker, but then remembers how hard his friends fought to rescue each other, and stands up once more, combining the Gears.
Ace is nearly killed by Blackbeard, but is rescued at the last second by none other than Rayleigh, who tells him to round up the Straw Hats and escape on their ship, because Kizaru has ordered a Buster Call on Impel Down! Ace complies as Rayleigh fights Blackbeard. He finds all but Luffy, who the others say is still fighting Smoker. Ace orders the others to escape onto the Sunny while he goes to find Luffy. Mihawk finally defeats Crocodile as Luffy Jet Shells Smoker, defeating him, but at the same time, destroying the bridge between the cells and execution ground. Ace rescues Luffy, and the two brothers escape onto the Sunny, where Shakky is waiting with Hatchan and Caimie. Luffy asks where Rayleigh is, but Shakky takes off without answering. Most of the people at Impel Down escape, but Rayleigh doesn't. Once back at Sabaody, the Staw Hats pay memory to Rayleigh, as Ace does the same for his captain. With one of the Emperors down, someone will have to take WB's palce, while Luffy says that he will fill the spot. Ace decides to join Luffy and co. as the Tenth Strawhat.
I know it's unlikely, but I felt like sharing it. :)
-
whatever happens next, i'm sure it will be exciting
-
wow that's a mightly lot of effort you put into your story there, KI '_'. Not a bad read lol
-
Student of mine suggested the line from Sentoumaru was to be taken literally and that three days later they're going to land exactly where they were on the island. Their ship will be ready and they can proceed after they find Rayleigh.
I thought it was a very simple and cute idea. I dunno how someone like Luffy or someone normal like Nami could survive 3 days without food but we'll see.
-
it was a nice read
but sanji beating flamigo with robins and namis help why wouldn't flamingo control sanjis body
zoro fighting at 10% sounds funny but i think u put that in for your sanji bitplus still don't think they are in ID
but still was funny to read just wouldn't like to see it happan
-
uhm i just got another idea. I think they were all sent to Mariejoa. Why? First its because the place isn't that far away from Shabondy, so they wont have too much trouble going back to meet Rayleigh. Second, because that will the last place people will look or even suspect they will be. Oftenly the most dangerous place is the safest place to be.
And anyway, it could be interesting, Oda can show us how things are in the Red Line, and there might be anther meeting with the Tenryuubito, heck they could even wreak another havoc with the Tenryuubito and force the WG and the marines to split their forces amidst the battle with Whitebeard. Or they could just lay low and heal up and return. Or…....Vegapunk enters....
Well, anyway if they are really sent to Mariejoa. Remember folks. U heard it here first. (or if anyone else posted this idea before me, well u heard it there first. not here) :D
-
Heres a thought…maybe they were sent ta Whitebeards ship or maybe even Shanks..:ninja:

Nice. But like you said. Unlikely. Unless you are Oda that is.
-
I thought Sentoumaru's explanation was more of a necessity than Kuma's whispering to keep the fans at bay.
Anyway, "You expect me to believe what you said?" would also fit in with Greg's idea, in that his quote was kinda' like provoking Kuma in a hostile way. I guess. If he didn't simply trust him, Kuma might be in a bit of hurt. Then again, isn't he still occupied with Kizaru? What are they doing now? Will they just walk away silently? (That's sarcasm. I think Rayleigh would at least have to make an escape, which wouldn't be too hard.)
I like the prospect of Vegapunk entering into the story sometime soon, but it's arbitrary really, since I'm not the author. /cop out
Someone mentioned transporting near Vegapunk and all this Dragon nonsense. A way to technically/mechanically upgrade everyone might sound cheap in a sense, but it would have at least some merit. Maybe Luffy would just refuse and want everyone to build in their own way, heh. -
This was one epic chapter. I never expected Kuma to make all the Strawhats disappear. I think what will happen next chapter will be the conclusion of the Rayleigh and Kizaru fight, and will show where Luffy was send to.
-
Student of mine suggested the line from Sentoumaru was to be taken literally and that three days later they're going to land exactly where they were on the island. Their ship will be ready and they can proceed after they find Rayleigh.
EXCELLENT idea!! Never thought of that, and didn't even took it in consideration! But yeah, the pointy thing is: How will they survive? g
I'm asking myself, moreso, why Kuma told Luffy, they wouldn't see each other again? What's his motivation for helping them, anyway?
Was he so impressed with Zoros "sacrifice", that he wanted to safe them, or at least just not let them get into WG hands?
So many questions… -
i think, that this could be the right time to start the war between WB and the Shichibukai and the Marines
-
I am guessing the original Kuma was the one who faced Law and Kidd. If he made both of their crews disappear as well, then Yellow Monkey would no longer have a reason to stay on Sabaody, since he "took care" of all of the prime suspects of the auction house incident for him.
I know one thing, the SH's bouncing around for three days and three nights will be safe and unaware of the war between the Shichibukai and Whitebard pirates and it will give Dark King Silvers enough time to coat the ship. I am guessing the "defelcting" of SH's will have to send them back to the groves. Or maybe not.
-
If what Sentomaru said about Kuma's paw power and making them disappear has any truth to it, then what he does is NOT teleportation. So stuff like being sent to Id, WB, etc. would be out of the question.
@XnaMageMeliga:Don't know if this has been said before, but anyone think we will see Perona again?
I think we need to see her again to get more hints on exactly what happened and what it Kuma's power and if him asking ppl where they want to go has anything to do with it.
A lot of ppl were calling for her to be next nakama, if that happens she basically needs to go under a complete make over personality and look wise. She was pretty annoying in the subbed episodes.

Strangely enough this seemed to be close to impossible when I suggested it in the 513 spoiler thread. It seemed none of them could fathom a reason for Kuma to do that to them because he attacked them first as if any of his past actions have been reasonable.
I think its possible since the title of that chap he appeared was titled Kuma and the whole thing with the pacifistas could've been to distract readers that the real Kuma was in fact on SA. What you say is also another possibility in a way to get Kizaru to leave as soon as he could.

How? He's part cyborg, it's not impossible to thing he could have calculated exact distance and trajectory to propel them to a specific destination in three days and three nights. No human could calculate that in their head in a split second, but Kuma isn't fully human anymore.

Wait, where was it said that the real Kuma is part cyborg? Or is this another theory your convinced with?

Are you serious? Are you really serious? And I'll theorize if I damn well want, shut up.
Kuma: A cyborg? …Yes, that is correct.
But I am quite different from Franky the "cyborg."
I am known as a "Pacifista."
A government-created "human weapon," still incomplete.Have you been following what has been going on at all? Honestly…

I was being serious. The question was serious, not used to attack you, which you somehow thought it was. Didn't tell you to stop theorizing either. So you shut up, man.
Yeah, I forgot about Kuma there. Does that make me less of a One Piece fan :O. Serious man, chill.
-
Kuma needs to puni someone inside a room so we can hush all this "bouncing really far" shit.

Sorry, I overreacted a bit there. I do need to chill. Sorry.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure that Sentoumaru's "suggestion" is correct, but their destination is not going to be right back on the island. Kuma already hinted at having a connection with Dragon with his cryptic words back on Thriller Bark, but Dragon is far away in South Blue, which makes him a little too distant as a destination. Of course, a person like Dragon could easily have contacts around the world that Kuma could have sent them to… if that's the case.
It's probably somewhere nearby so they can get their ship back, but the same island would be kind of ridiculous. All Kizaru has to do is come back in 3 days and just dick around until they drop down.

What does anything you said have to do with Kuma's paw powers not having to do with teleportation?
Calculating distance, trajectory is not teleportation and doesn't have anything to do with it.
I said if what Sentomaru said has any truth to it what Kuma really does is not teleportation.
Furthermore, its a paw ability I don't see how it relates to him being a cyborg. Unless you think him making ppl disappear is a cyborg ability and has nothing to do with his paw power.

it would be cool if that happened. that they drop back at the same island 3 days after what happened. but didn't it look like they were sent in different directions?
(I had this weird theory that the flags for each crew member that were created years ago are for a future reason, but those flags being real ship flags after this was unlikely)
-
maybe Kuma sent them all to different archalogs sp??/ or what ever the different things are called.
-
@Zik:

Okay, fair enough, I'll elaborate.
I may have misread what you wrote, but you said that it was impossible to send him to a specific location. Since he is part cyborg, it's possible he can make split-second calculations based on a response. The question, of course, is the "If you could go on a trip, where would you go?" question. Based on the answer, I'm saying Kuma calculates distance, proper amount of force, trajectory, and direction, and uses his Paw powers to apply that exact calculation of force to said person, which launches them for 3 days and 3 nights to the destination. If he was purely human, that kind of calculation would be absurd. When he moves himself, that could also be how he seemingly moves to specific places, for example, to go see Moria or on top of a wall. So the actual "teleportation" would involve a calculation via his cyborg brain and then an execution via his Paw powers.
Understand what I'm saying, now?
-
I understand what you're saying more now and get where the cyborg intelligence and DF ability work together but I still wouldn't consider that teleportation. I was focusing on the flying through the air 3 days and 3 nights.
I see teleportation as something that is instantaneous whether its some type of or form of warping or travel through an inter-dimensional portal/rift(similar to the film Jumper). When Kuma appeared next to Nami or among the SHs and other pirates in Tb that was instantaneous, none of them could keep up with it. If Sentomaru is correct that means depending where a bird or person is they could actually see them flying through the sky to w/e destination. Now if Oda is keeping up with the joke of Sentomaru having a tight mouth but revealing everything he is clearly letting us know what happened to them is not teleportation but basically getting slapped in the air and sent through the sky and not even that fast.
Now yes teleportation for the most part is pure fiction and so it can be anything a person wants as long they apply it in the right context but the if the 3 days 3 nights thing is literal I see that is some faux teleportation, basically an ulterior form of transportation. To compare it to another manga it sounds more like that return card in Hunter X Hunter during the Greed Island arc.
-
The next chapter should start like this: http://www.onemanga.com/Houshin_Engi/102/01/
A cruel joke by Oda.. houshin engi Choukoumei battles spoilers.
-
@$abZ:

That makes two of us; a month ago or two I also forgot Kuma was cyborg. IMO it's just as cool to forget things as it is to remember them, given that one just simply re-reads the series (potentially getting even more enjoyment out of it, for you know what they say about ignorance…).
-
I still bet they're being sent to Vegapunk. It seems like he should finally be introduced by now.
EDIT - When Rayleigh questioned Kuma about what he was doing (when they were whispering or whatever), Kuma stated "Even I have my doubts in this matter," meaning he wasn't sure but was still doing it - he was under orders. But the WG did not know what was going on in this situation, considering Kizaru didn't know what he was doing either. So, with both Kuma unsure and the WG having no clue about what was going on, this leads me to believe Vegapunk was pulling Kuma's strings. For what reason, IDK, but I still bet it was him.
-
^^
flash back****kizaru: i want some kuma to escort me to capture some pirates
vegapunk: hrrmmm what kind of pirates are they, that you need them?
kizaru: just a punch of rookies
vegapunk: i see, ok. (remembers wanted poster)…..............

Current goals: try to be happy with myself. Not proud, just happy.
I want to see the next chapter so bad. ;_;
-
That ranks up there with your "Spandam's Long-Deserved Retribution" coverstory.
-
Even more of a cliffhanger than the previous chapter.
I liked Rayleigh lamenting over old age while holding of an admiral. Also I´m very intrigued about the respect he gets from his enemies. "Dark King" …, I´m really hot for his background story - though this might last till we meet Shanks (5 years ahead?).
-
@_Meh_:
That ranks up there with your "Spandam's Long-Deserved Retribution" coverstory.
Yep, just me and my crazy.
I'm all depressed now.
Edit: Since Meh decided to critique my stupid dialogue, what things would you like improved?
-
Part of me wonders if Nami will end up with Perona, since she said "I wonder where she went". Lol.
That would be a laugh.
Nah, it wouldn't, come to think of it, Long-nose is her foe.
-
Nah, it wouldn't, come to think of it, Long-nose is her foe.
I half expected Perona to trail Ussop like glue after that fight (all love-love like); like Juvia and Gray. Glad it never happened though. Not that I really ever wanted it to happen.
-
your mad son
talking earnestly,do you know how much the slash pairrs/slash joiners would get out of being RIGHT once ?The shit after that would be ungodly .
So-is there a chapter this week?(there are just certain levels at which somon can take breaks) .
-
I Am A Big Kid Now!
-
Perona is going to end up as part of Buggy's crew as part of big final showdown at the end of the series that recompiles a lot of the old villains into Buggy's crew. Thats how its going to go down.
-

That'd actually be quite cool!
Also, thinking that Kuma something with Rayleigh, it might have something to do with the war. What do you think about Luffy's crew winding up on Mariejoa (Swedish spelling).
-
Idk if this was Oda or not, but someone said movie 10 was going to tie into an event occuring in the manga… and in the trailer it looks like they're at mariejoa... mariejoa is up some super high cliff they can't climb near shabondy... they can't leave behind sunny so they're not far... kuma just teleported the crew... whitebeard's at war with the world government... the strawhats declared war two arcs ago... WORLD GOVERNMENT'S DOWNFALL ARC?!
There have gotta be strong people in the new world besides yonkou, shichibukai, and world gov... this could make some space for random bad guys to be introduced.
-
well do you really think they don´t have any deffence up there? or the strawhats are at a level now where they can do something like that? in my opinion oda just showed us what they are capable of and that would be out of their range…
-
I can't imagine that the WG will fall anytime soon, sure there will be some other incredible strong guys in the new world than the yonkou, the shichibukai and the marines, but without the WG what sense would the bountys still have?
I mean they played a big role until now and after the next one or two arcs they will be completely senseless? i really don't think so -
