I guess I do owe myself to finish the manga (when it does end). Its story (if you want to call it that) wasn't anything interesting… but I read it this far and the art is lovely, so I might as well finish it sometime.

For those who like their volume 9 (chapters 71-95) stuff HQ and actually readable, DRscans released in total so far the first 4 chapters(Up to 75 with magazine numbering) of volume 9, from the tankobon. Yay for fixed art and dialog(which Hirano does for the volume releases)! And yay for non-Max7 versions of these chapters!
Sure the first chapter has been out for a short while and the other 3 were released not too long ago, but I didn't feel like posting about them here for awhile due to the topic being dead. XD
Also, no chapter 94 for August unfortunetely. :getlost: Damn Hirano.

After seeing the Madhouse logo in the trailer I found out about this:
"Coming from Rondo Robe 2008 is the news that the next instalment in the Hellsing OVA, Hellsing V, is set to be produced by Madhouse (Trigun, Claymore, Lodoss, Texhnolyze, and dozens of other great titles), with heretofore OVA producer Satelight having lost the rights (Macross, Geneshaft, and not much else); whether this is due to some humdrum commercial reason or sheer incompetence is not revealed. In such hands there would appear to be little worry of the series going downhill.
2ch seems to have little respect for Satelight, but the same goes for Madhouse too (“Made in Korea”), so nothing but the usual ravings there then."

I don't think Satelight did anything wrong with the previous OVAs. Granted Ep. 1 had the weakest animation, but they got better over time.

After checking around there are rumors that the Committee[Wild Geese?] were losing patience with Satelights production delays which made them hand over the project to Madhouse

I can't believe it. The one plot thread that DID capture my attention in the first part of Hellsing (for some reason, I'm fascinated by the premise of the transition to vampirism) and Hirano actually made good on it?
I may have to stop saying he can't write his way out of a paper bag. He's moved up to PLASTIC bag. :)

Honestly it was a decent ending… but nothing really that great. somewhat mediocre. oh well, It wrapped most everything up.
I dunno.. IMO, the final part of this series really started to falter. Especially with how crazy and violent the siege and undead war of england started out as... but it sorta lacks that punch after Alucard and Anderson's Final battle. I dunno... more and more I'm starting to realize that Hellsing has always just been about the monsters and gore. Nothing too deep or thought provoking. Not that it's a bad thing, cause there are some damn good action scenes (like all of them), and a few great pieces or dialogue (the art rules too).
but despite any gripes or letdowns i've had, Hellsing will be a shocking, violent, b-movie style, manga with balls and just a very memorable series for me. Good times Hirano! Good times!

Well, I might as well finish this series considering I'm so damn close to. I saw OVA I, II and IV on Starz. (They skipped III for some odd reason.) Can anyone offer me manga links? I do believe I left off right when Anderson was dying. Lol, I've already forgotten everything that happened really.

I think that i was the best among these 5…Animation and music were great, but it was kinda short, (at least for me xD, even if all OVAs have this same lenght xD). Scene with Andersen and Iscariote in the end was awesome, Andersen's Voice Actor was just born to this character

So any series where the characters actually have to work or make an effort to win their fights sucks? Okay…
And he lost. The Major technically won, even though he was killed. Schrodinger's blood poisoned Alucard and put him in a paradox. He only came back because Seras was the only seperate personality that he hadn't absorbed, and therefore she could respawn him.
I called it wrong, so long ago. I guess this needs to be changed.

Of course not! Why else would we all roam a One Piece forum. It just that after having seen countless numbers of shounen, which cover the rise of a small boy to the mightyest man on earth, some variety is kinda refreshing.
Still waiting for Nr. V to get subbed before I see it tough.
