Good job…but why did you use both cnet's and my translations?
Thanks for the HQ chapter!
Good job…but why did you use both cnet's and my translations?
Using both translations wasn't my call but I suppose it was done for the sake of achieving higher accuracy in meaning… I'm not saying that yours was not accurate enough or that cnet's was more accurate, but consulting two translations is always better than consulting one. Moreover our proofreader disappeared so someone else had to proofread and I guess he found out using both translations was easier. That's all there is to it I think, but then again it wasn't my call so I can only speculate. If you want a more a certain answer pm TranquilMelancholy on mangahelpers.
Thanks for the replies ^^
here's what TranquilMelancholy replied:
"It's the matter of consistency and accuracy. I've been using his translation for a while already so I just want to keep it this way. But this week he was away and I thought he wouldn't come back to translate it so I used your translation first. The whole chapter was typeset already but when I was qcing the release cnet came back so I decided to use both instead. Because I was sitting there re-proofreading the whole thing anyway. It's not like your translation isn't good. I just want to keep the style a bit consistent and to check the context, because I don't know you and it's hard for me to work on a new translation I'm not familiar with. No offense meant, if that's how you're taking it."|

Oh, all right. And I wasn't taking offense. I don't care what people do with my translations. I was just curious why he was using both of ours.
