I just have to chime in to say the chapter was excellent. And bepo is a horrible name.
Chapter 506 "Roger & Rayleigh" Discussion

-
yeah, good one. next time try making sense next time. maybe next time, fire fist ace!!
Law 1:0 FFA
Also Law gets one point extra for the most beautiful avi so 2:0 it is.
-
Bepo is a good name for a bear though.
-
Awesome chapter, thank you doflamingo_37!
-
i find it very interesting that Law flees cause an admiral is coming, but he is willing to fight Kuma with Kid
Its not that Law is runing for his life, he imo thinks over it and sees getting off the island as the smartest thing to do, if admiral comes he ll fight him.
Like he says he would reather (implys if he could pick option) not meet him on top of all the mess thats here already.
Similar with Kuma, first he s a bit surprisd Kuma is here. you can see from his facial expression he aint exactly happy with it but since the dude is blockng his way he s gona deal with him, or smth in that fashion…Allandall like both SNs, Kid as Law the recent chapter even makes them more cool for me...
Really great chapter and I do hope there is a chapter next week and would find it strange there not being one, since usually Oda let us know in advance.
It would be like not saying good bye before you leave imo…Blue
-
Nice chapter!
I agree with everyone who says Rayleigh will end up holding off the Admirial while the Strawhats escape.
Hoping next chapter will involve Rayleigh answering some of the SH's questions, mostly from Robin (the Poneglyphs) and Sanji (All Blue).

Yep, No One Piece next week.
Aye but the week after, we get a colour page and the cover again :)
-
Yeah but it seems right now One Piece having no chapter next week is not official, cause nothing has been confirmed. I hope these are just mere rumours.

I am not impressed like everyone else seems to be by Law dodging the laser, to me that doesn't imply anything.
Zoro was able to constantly dodge all of Kuma's attacks, it doesn't matter if you can avoid his damage though unless you have a method to actually harm Kuma you can't win. The space movement ability that Law has might give him the ability to hit Kuma by separating him, but if Zoro's strongest attacks were only capable of cutting Kuma's CLOTHING I doubt either Kidd or Law can damage Kuma either.
I do believe; however, that With Law and Kidd's abilities combined, they will be able to stall Kuma long enough to get away.
So far Kuma hasn't even come close to using his abilities to the fullest against Kidd or Law, he's just using his most basic and easiest to avoid attack, the mouth laser that Zoro was capable of dodging while severely battered and broken immediately following a fight with another Shichibukai (Moria).
I don't think Killer is capable of cutting Kuma, and I don't think that the space time bubble actually harms what it separates, it doesn't effect mechanical function either so in some sense while the things are "separated" they are still "together" as well. In other words the body is still connected but because of a play with playtime it is separated as at the same time. They might be able to separate Kuma and then magnetize him and bury his individual parts under huge piles of rubble and then run, but that's about the extent of what they can do from what I've seen so far.
I mean just look at Zoro's fight with Kuma, nothing they've done is more impressive than what Zoro did, and Zoro was clearly at the disadvantage.
-
Was Kuma even fireing at Law? To me it looked like he fired that thing sideways or something.
-
Well considering the fact that Bepo screamed out "Captain!" immediately following that was just my assumption.
-
I found more proof: S-Manga has the preview pages every week with each WSJ entry it advertises. OP always gets a "next issue" comment…unless there's no chapter. No OP ad, no chapter this week, end of story. (now all we need to know is if Oda's doing anything special next issue for the 40th)

If i remember correctly, swordsmen cut only what they want to cut, and this time Zoro thought Kuma was human and not metal, he made a strike that would hurt humans, just like hes sensei thought him http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/194/15/ .
So if Zoro knew hes was going to cut metal, he would have cut Kuma. (Just a theory)

Pssh..Your telling me….
Kuma can easily just not give a damn and teleport all over the place and send everyone to hell in a hand basket with a touch of his hand or Bear shock the entire island and be done wit it.

Wow, bad news.

Ursus shock works just on fodder nins.
-
Ursus Shock works on islands.

Only fodder islands.

No such thing, KO.

What can I say they don't pay me enough.

If Zoro were capable of cutting Kuma he would not have offered up his life for Luffy's, he would have defeated Kuma. It's obvious that Zoro knew outright that he stood no chance against Kuma after his attempted Lion's Song, and this is why he offered up his head, it was his duty as the first mate to protect the crew and the Captain if the Captain could not do so himself, so Zoro decided that he only had one option and followed through with it for the sake of his nakama.
-
Pretty much agree with what invisibleworm said, Lion Song is Zoro's metal cutting technique and he failed with it.
-
People are seriously over-estimating Kuma.
As things are looking, the odds are AGAINST Kuma.
Kidd is about as strong as Luffy and add Law into the equation and he should really be having a tough time. I don't understand why people are acting like Kid and Law are screwed.
-
With Kuma, and now Yellow finally showing up, it just reinforces my thought, that some/most of these SuperNovas won't be making it into the New World.
Well the most interesting thing for me in this Chapter is that Silvers said twenty years ago that Hachi saved him, when he was ship wrecked, and up until Hachi joined the Sun Pirates, Silvers got along with Hachi well. Now agree with Jinbeh crew = The Sunny Pirates thread, but it just leads me to think that Jinbeh's crew could have been one of the few Pirate Crews to have been around during Rogers time.
-
Well what makes Kuma so powerful is his devil fruit and that Dr. Vegabank made him part metal that even stronger than steel.
-
Jinbeh crew […] Jinbeh's crew
Why do you spell his name like that? I mean you are named after him but your name and how you spell him now doesn't match? :wassat:
-

Well Stephen's site spells his name out, as Jinbeh, and word on the Net is that he is the Big Fish, when it comes to the right text. I have seen alot of members spell his name out as Jimbei even Wik, but alot of pepole have told me 甚平鮫 jinbei-zame means Whale Shark, so I went with that, I just left out the zame, and at the time, Jinbei was the way they spelled it in the anime sub, I was watching. I Guess I will just wait until/if its questioned and settled in the Character Names FAQ thread, like the Odr debate.:D

Not all metal, just steel, to be more accurate. That is why he couldn't cut Kuma. He even says so himself.
-

Well, with the technique he gained the ability to hear breath. With this it is supposed that he can cut anything if he can hear it's breath. I think this is how he created the Pondou Hou techniques. He just heard the breath of the air.
Edit: After typing that, it sounds stupid to me now
-
Well we know Zoro can't cut Diamond since he said it would be wasteful to do such a thing.

Honestly, I could possibly buy that. Though a major point against it is he apparently based his Cannon attacks on his Taka Nami he used at Whiskey Peak. Though maybe his "breath" experience helped him expand on that.
One question: Can Zoro call upon hearing Breath at will? Last I saw, in Alabasta he could only call upon the power near-death.
Also, on Kuma. Odds are against him, if only because the Supernovas here aren't to actually defeat him. Just bypass him. Take that in mind and they don't even have to harm him. Just stall him long enough to give them time to escape past him. His apparent teleportation could be an issue, but even it's not impossible for two fairly determined pirates. Especially if their ships were docked separately. One of the would escape at least.
-
Yes, Zoro only showed the "Breath" technique once when he was near death.
It is going to be interesting to see how the fight goes between Kuma, Law and Kidd.
-
kuma is using wapol-steel. you heard it here first!! exclusivve

Must say that I find it rude from Oda especially him being a japanese guy to not at least say to us sorry no chapter next week or whatever…
But thats just me

We do not really know much about Kuma's ability, so he could be hiding something. Even if he is defeated, he could probably blow himself up along with the whole island. Hahah!

Maybe but Wapol doesn't used steel when he creating his Wapol-metal though?

This.
All they need to do is manage to get away. Granted, it's still a tough job with Kuma's skill, but for two high level pirate crews (and not worn out from a long battle against another Shichibukai like the Strawhats were) it's certainly possible.
I think it should be interesting to see just how they can pull it off, but I don't see any way either crew goes down here, nor does Kuma.
-
Well we know Zoro can't cut Diamond since he said it would be wasteful to do such a thing.
Obviously it would be wastefull to learn to cut something that is so much easier to smash then cut.
-
This has probably been asked to death, so sorry if I'm annoying anyone. Is there going to be a chapter next week? I saw many people say no and at the same time many saying yes.
-
Where did you see people saying yes?
I only see people saying no and people hoping it isn't so.
-
One thing I forgot to mention that I am happy about is the unlikelyhood the guy Law and Kid are fighting to be just a Robot dude, we can see on the last page how Kuma is getting his gloves off, so we gona see some shit hit the phan soon

lol. to the point i'm wondering why it's still an issue, when the first person posted and said no chapter next week stating a source. why is it that it's still being queries when nobodies provided evidence to the contrary?

If I read the articles posted previously, there is going to be one piece on 7/7 but not on the week AFTER - which would be 14/7.
It had stated there was going to be one piece for 7/7 but on that same note it also said "No one piece next week" - which means on the 14th* of july.
-
I think I'll just wait for Wednesday to come. It's still confusing.
