Extremely old news, but Earthbound was rated for the Wii by the ESRB. Possible VC release?

It would be so awesome, though. I wish I could play it, but since I grew up in the 64 and Gamecube days, finding a SNES would be hard for me, while finding Earthbound would be even harder.
And about Mother 3, it's that I'm not willing to import a game from Japan, and then download a translation guide or something. And playing a rom on a computer doesn't seem right to me.
I'll always remember Earthbound as the game I rented the day my first SNES died. =D
never played earthbound before. so i have no idea what the games like
Imagine Dragon Warrior, but in a modern and kinda campy setting. That, along with an interesting little feature during battles where your party's HP goes down like an odometer rather than straight to how much damage was taken. In other words, you can save yourself before your HP runs out.
The two word summary is "fucking awesome".
Tenchu 4 + Wiimote = Massive boner
While part of me is sad that Tenchu isn't being developed for a more powerful machine to let us pull off ninja action with the bestest graphics capable, the possibilities the Wiimote holds for the game excites me more than ANY OTHER TITLE on the system. Even Zelda.
Hold the phone.
Tenchu 4? Seriously? Where did you hear about this? Why didn't I hear about this?
Yep. Not only Tenchu 4. Tenchu 4, 5 & 6.
I believe I first read it at Magic Box. There's even a teaser trailer up somewhere.
Despite not really being a fan of ninja, I really love the Tenchu series. Really fucking glad to hear that we're going to be getting Wii titles for it.
But one has to wondering if they'll follow in the same footsteps as their predecessors I think Wii fans will agree that the last thing they need
is another shoddy third party title.
I havent played a Tenchu since the first. Well, that
s a lie.
I haven`t enjoyed playing a Tenchu game since the first.
And as it just so happens, they`re reuniting the original team for at least the fourth installment.
The thoughts of the Wiimote allowing grappling hooks, shurikens or kunoichi with stealth-based kills is enough to cause my member to burst through a pair of tight jeans.
I haven't played a Tenchu game since the 4th which was the first and last Tenchu game I've ever played.
Tenchu 3 had fucking Tesshu. Best character in the entire series.
Heart Rip For The Win.
@Cyringohn:
Tenchu 3 had fucking Tesshu. Best character in the entire series.
And only six missions in whole game. Fuckers.
Though personally, I think the second game had to'ave been my favorite, for the level editor in of itself.
Oh God, if they bring that back…I swear...
Here's the funny thing about me and level editors. It's almost like….it's too much.
There was an old computer game where you could just set up GIGANTIC Rube Goldberg (sp) contraptions to accomplish some stupid goal on each level and it gave you these items to place at your will that operated on gravity, switches, etc. So basically a level editor right?
When you give me those options it's almost like....it's almost TOO much. I want a level editor that edits my levels for me.

Greg-san scores a 0 in creativity :P
Its actually the simplicity of the Tenchu 2 level editor, while still having a lot of options that really made me enjoy the hell out of it. You had a decent plane size, all you had to do was place parts as though they were digital LEGOs, you could easily fence off what you didn't want, setting enemy paths took about as much energy as pushing left or right on the controller, FANTASTIC feature! They really should've put that in the third game instead of that lame-ass two-player mode.
Hmmm….hey, I don't know if you've ever come across it or not, but isn't there supposed to be a special version of the game exclusive to Japan which consists of nothing but 100 (or less) user-created levels for a contest?
Greg-san scores a 0 in creativity :P
Oh, guilty as charged.
I totally admit it.
But seriously, I dunno if it's lack of creativity insomuch as I'm overwhelmed by the options present and just don't know what the hell I should do first. Then I start laying shit out and before I know it I want to go back and remove shit but while doing that I think about something else I could do then I run back to do something else but fuck something else in the process and in the end, since I can't just mentally lay out the world I want all in one deft Neo-like swoop, I fuck shit up and cry. Seriously.
Supposedly we're Geeks and Otakus for wanting more Wii Storage Space.

God damn it Nintendo.
That's actually worst than saying rumble is a passing fad in attempt to make motion sensitivity by itself seem better.
More on Wario Land Shake
!
I shit you not, Production I.G. is doing the cutscenes for this.

i heard a rumor that Megaman 9 would be a WiiWare game
http://www.wiiware-world.com/news/2008/06/rumour_mega_man_9_coming_to_wiiware
Megaman 9?
On Wii?
Hope this is true. That would be friggin' A.

Idiots…
And no, I'm not talking about what they call "Nintendo"
I'm talking about the idiots that say this message came from the Big Building in Japan...
Or has anyone not realized that the European Branch is the only one that's biting the hand that feeds them..
NoE is also a cluster of idiots as well if they don't realize that without space, people can't download their precious WiiWare games.

Isn't that still the fault of the Japanese creators who designed the system and all branches of Nintendo refusing to acknowledge this problem and fix it accordingly.

Even Harmonix knows the Wii needs more storage space, which pretty much closes the deal for Rock Band DLC on the Wii not happening (hugs 360)
Either way, this is my take on Nintendo.
Nintendo: We just want money no matter how many idiotic things we do or crappy games we put out.
I know money is required to run every business out there… but if you alienate your fans then there's no money.
http://www.wiiware-world.com/news/2008/06/rumour_mega_man_9_coming_to_wiiware
Man, I'd love it if that were true (as long as Zero is in it anyway, so we can get some closure on the series).
EDIT:
Wierd, I saw the image Zim tried to post over at THAT PLACE. Just can't here. For those who haven't seen it…
Funny how that's the only thing that actually got me interested in this game.
I know money is required to run every business out there… but if you alienate your fans then there's no money.
Yes it is video gamers will buy anything no matter how expensive is it look at Rock Band & The PS3.
Rock Band is kinda worth it though.
Wario Land Shake is looking really good. I haven't played a single new Wario game since Wario World.
@Solar:
Rock Band is kinda worth it though.
Not with the $170 price tag it is.
You can always just buy the game and just get the guitar or something like that if ya dont want to get the whole bundle. Also I think its 160$ for the Wii version.
You can always just buy the game and just get the guitar.
True but some might want the whole set up not to mention that even if you were just to buy it with one accessory it would still cost you more than it should.
Well if you dont have lots a friends to hang or would play Rock band for you just get Guitar hero :P
@Sandai:

Its totally worth it considering all of the stuff you get in the bundle. All of the peripherals are quality, the guitar I consider leaps and bounds above previous GH controllers.
Though I agree with Toshiya that if you know you're not gonna want to play all but one instrument, or you got no friends, you're better off with Guitar Hero.

This is why they have amazing PR, excellent customer service, and consumer-friendly titles, right?

Here's the apology about the geek and otaku remark. I hope Nintendo gets their heads out of their asses and releases a hard drive soon.

or a better memory card system
You mean the ability to save on and play from an SD card? Yeah, that'd be good, too. Why can't they just have the VC game you download have the Wii code of the Wii it was originally downloaded on to, and if the VC wii code doesn't match the wii code of the system, it's unplayable. Is that technologically possible?
Oh, and I think the PR representative who said the geeks and otaku comment is a retard. I mean, I understand that people want more space, but does that make me a geek or otaku in the bad way? No. I just hate companies thinking they know what the fans want better than the fans.
It doesn't make them a geek or otaku period it's does make them concerned consumers.
New Shop Channel games this week:
Block Breaker Deluxe – WiiWare (800 pts.)
Cocoto Fishing Master -- WiiWare (700 pts.)
Samurai Shodown -- NEOGEO (900 pts.)
I'm still waiting for the rare expensive SNES RPGs like Earthbound, Super Mario RPG, and when Hell Freezes Over Chrono Trigger.

samurai showdown?
Cool!
BTW, Demos are a mix of the past few weeks
Raving rabbids 2
Cake mania 2
Crosswords DS
Flash focus
Brain ages 1&2
Nintendo really needs to get some better demos out
question: can retro games that were made by a Company that does not exist or has moved to another company still be released to VC?

Oooooh, looks nice.
I have my doubts about that, to be honest…
Woah. Just realized E3 is in like a week or two. I hope we get Animal Crossing Wii, Pikmin 3 or Kid Icarus.
