"I'm not just sure. I'm HIV Positive."
This has potential to be a good one.

That line was brilliant. I thought Kyle's laughing fits were hilarious, too.
Oh man, that was amazing!
And the whole bit with Jimmy Buffet, awesome
What a great episode!
But what was with the happy-go-lucky music in certain scenes? Are they referencing something?
…...i laughed once, and that's from the barrage of m'kays, as shown in every other ep.
i dunno.
where to watch south park once it's been broadcasted? is it quickly on sites like youtube or dailymotion or shall i have to wait until it's shared on torrent or something? i want to watch it a few hours after it's aired, dammit…
Amazing. Just amazing.
What they did with the 'HIV positive' line is just brilliant. Freaking brilliant.
It was enough on it's own to be the funniest thing I've seen so far this year. The second time not so much. Then the third it was actually annoying…until they had the banter surrounding it which was both remarkably insightful to the core values of the episode and to make the joke funny all over again. They've done this several times such as the Imaginationland song and Cartman farting on Kyle in the anal probe redo and each times it amazes me how they can lift up a dead joke ON PURPOSE from the grave in a matter of seconds and make it funny again.
Amazing.
And those musical segways parodying happy-go-lucky medical learning footage from the 50's was fantastic with the backdrop of a kid infecting another kid with AIDs on purpose.
In fact, just seeing the Mel Gibson poster on Cartman's wall in the opening seconds already had me in a fit.
Best comedy on television. I fear whenever it wraps up.
This episode reminded me a real little bit of some of the older ones.
Another thing, I like how this episode centered itself around Cartman and Kyle not finding AIDS funny when just a handful of seasons ago, AIDS became funny after 22.3 years.
Yeah but now it's "retro" ^o^
I picked up the Imaginationland DVD. I'm so psyched to watch it!
I knew they were gonna bash Britney sooner or later. The mostly headless garbling is freaking great. And this episode looks like it has more of the classic South Park.
That was a totally fked up ending ever, and this is coming from a long time viewer of the series. It was the good type of fked up that make it awsome.
That was a screwed up ending.
But then again, the whole episode was screwed up.
I dunno about this one.
The theme they chose had a lot of potential, but I rarely got any good laughs after the long silence after Britney blew half of her head off. Some jokes just felt totally tacked like the Frosty the Snowman reference and the harvest dealie. This episode could probably have been executed a lot better.
This was a meh one for me. Freaky ending. Good freaky though. The funniest part was Britney blowing off her head for me.
Loved the themes of the episode.
Every person who points at Britney and laughs is essentially making fun of someone that really doesn't have a brain to begin with.
Then of course the media are obsessed with bullshit like this when there's a Presidential race coming up. The third "Britney WAH-TCH!" had me on the floor. That & Clinton's, "-and spearchuckers."
BUT when they totally flipped the episode on its ass and decided to reference The Lottery for how popular figures are dealt with in the media today? Beautiful. Fantastic job again.
I just read wikipedia's page about the lottery:
People at first were not so much concerned with what the story meant; what they wanted to know was where these lotteries were held, and whether they could go there and watch.
:D
"-and spearchuckers" had me rolling on the floor.
The third "Britney WAH-TCH!" had me on the floor.
Glad I wasn't the only one getting lulz from that.
I love it when Trey says stuff like that. (Know what I mean?)
Meh, seemed like it had a lot of potential and went downhill fast. I liked the Lottery reference though.
(Know what I mean?)
I certainly do. I LOVE when they do that.
Like in the Butters episode where they keep saying 'Butters' faster and faster until they're just babbling. Or the Alabama Man voice. I dunno why, it just clicks with me.

Oh man, since you brought that up, I'm reminded of just how awesome the Chinpokomon episode was. The "Wild Wacky Action Bike" sequence had me floored.

OH FUCK YEAH
this week is a tribute to HEAVY METAL 1981
i APPROVE
Heavy Metal is fricken sweet ass classic animted movie period. I can't wait for Matt and Trey got for us with this episode.
Kenny's cheesings were awesome! I sort of got the Heavy Metal references. I really should watch that movie again some day.
That was perfect.
Great episode, and Matt and Trey did a great job of capturing Heavy Metal. I just love Cartman's subplot of the episode.
Yeah, this episode felt more like the older ones. I loved the Holocaust parody B-story with Cartman sheltering cats, even if Trey and Matt have done it countless times before.
they didn't do the taxi driver
FUNNY ANYWAY
I need to watch Heavy Metal again as well. I barely remember any of it.
Awesome episode. And the subplot with Cartman was great as well. Although, I could have sworn Cartman's cat was a female.
I haven't seen Heavy Metal at all :/
I could have sworn Cartman's cat was a female.
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, although IIRC, that was only in the meteor shower episode. Every other time its' always been "Mr. Kitty".

That whole family's pretty messed up in terms of gender anyway.
Thinks back to the episode where Cartman's father is revealed.
after two horrible and i do really mean horrible eps, as in some of the worst theyve ever made i was worried that this season was gonna be abysmal but Major boobage was just that good that it brought back my south park fever.
Have no idea what Heavy metal was/is but it was a hilarious episode nonetheless and i loved Cartman and the cats as Anne Frank, Loved that Kenny wasnt just a background character, And its always leads to hilarity when the towns people get into mass hysteria about some imagined threat.

you need to stop being so HIV negative
Hahaha. I loved that episode. The okay ones like the Brittany episode and AIDS episode got me wondering if this season wasn't going to be very good. however, this episode really had everything.
I really liked the subplot with Cartman too, and its about damn time Kenny gets an episode about him (its been a few seasons I believe)
Oh yeah, and when Kenny puked on the table and it splashed on Butters face. God, Butters.
I've gotta agree. It seems like there hasn't been much focus on Kenny in the last few seasons. The last time he had his own episode was the PSP one.
The character focus as of late is mostly Cartman, Cartman/Kyle, Stan, a secondary character, or Randy. The Randy episodes are always hilarious, though. Any scene with him is pure gold!
Any thoughts on tonight's episode, you guys?
That… was a GREAT episode.
Best this season so far, and probably one of the best ever, in my opinion.
"I'm not your friend, buddy!"
"I'm not your buddy, guy!"
"We're not your guy, friend!"
"I'm not your fwend, guuuuuuuuuuuuuyy!"
That was awesomely hilarious. Also, I loved how they ripped into the Internet memes making "theoretical dollars."
EDIT: oh yeah, this must be the source of Butter's YouTube video:

Watching it as I type.
Real funny so far. My favorite part is where the internet meme's kill each other.
I figured they'd reference the pregnant man eventually.
But yeah, pretty decent episode so far.
Holy crap I saw this movie in 8th grade. Totally forgot about it.
I'm sure Cartman's teaching is a "To Stand and Deliver" reference.
I cracked up at Mr. Garrison going up to the kids and asking if they saw his penis and the "My brain hurts." bit.
…the penis sang a song.
Matt and Trey really have been sucking this season.
That penis song was pretty random. But the Mickey Mouse with an erection was hilarious to me.
@Anime:
…the penis sang a song
yyyyyyyyyyyeah, that was…weird.
Meh, this wasn't a very good episode.
Mr. Garrison made this episode, thats all there is to it.
As for the mouse + penis song, I feel like thats another movie reference, but I can't place it…

The mouse/penis song is based off of An American Tail's "Somewhere out There." Anyway, this was a great episode and it's so cool seeing Mr. Garrison again. Also, I saw Stand and Deliver during my middle school and high school years, so I found the Cartman subplot to be hilarious.
