You would be surprised of how much weigth can easily loose someone after stopping drinking Soda for a while.
Been a while since I measured my weigth and heigth, so I'll reply later.
Dropping soda definitely helps. A few years ago I stopped drinking soda and went to water, in bout 2 months I went from 250lbs down to 230lbs and then 220lbs a week later. I stayed there for a good while too, but then I stopped drinking water and went to milk.
But hey, I've been staying at a consistent 240lbs since, so all in all that's 10lbs I've lost for good. XD
I stopped drinking soda for a year and lost like fifteen pounds. Now I only drink Fresca and Sprite Zero, and generally try to avoid consuming high fructose corn syrup (it's hard).

Haha, I'm pretty average or 'underweight' in my opinion. Don't exactly find it good to be underweight though, so I tried to eat some more junk food this past weekend. I'm about 5'1, and maybe 112 lbs. or so.
Never really been on the 'overweight' side. =/ I blame our excellent P.E.
As much as I hate to admit it, I'm a bit of a "hippie" when it comes to food: I try to eat organic, non-processed stuff. After trying organic hot salsa, the name brand shit [Tostitos] just tastes awful now.
It just grosses me out now, is all. Like, I tried eating a Twinkie the other day, but it just felt so… fake in my mouth.
Am still a huge fan of any kind of meat, though. I can easily eat that hormone-pumped meat from the supermarket without any problems.
But yeah, I'm fairly certain that my diet helps keep my weight down, despite my frequent Subway binges FUCK I LOVE SWEET ONION CHICKEN TERIYAKI

Duh, that's because fruit has, you know, a lot of sugar in it.
Unfortunately, our nutrition labels don't differentiate between added sugars, natural sugars, different kinds of fat, etc. Most people just see EW THATS A LOT OF FAT or EW THATS A LOT OF SUGAR and avoid it. I actually had somebody tell me that peanut butter is unhealthy because of all the fat on the label, which made me laugh.
Nutrition requires research, though. Most fruit juice is going to have a decent amount of sugar, but it's not necessarily the same kind of added sugar garbage that's put into soda.
I do consider myself overweight. I'm also fairly tall, so that hides some of it.

I used to be practically addicted to some fucking soda. It took a long time to kick the habit of drinking so much Coke, but once it happened, I was really glad that I did.

Well yeah 5'6 by american standards is short the ideal height for an amercian man is 5'9 and above. So I guess anything from that on up is considered tall.

30.48 cm = 1 ft.
The first number is for ft., and the second number is for inches. 5'9" is 5 ft. and 9 inches.
I'm short and thin (I've always been kind of small), but I'm probably no healthier than an overweight person (because I still eat lots of junk food). So I don't think I'll live any longer or anything.

I forgot to post this but I'm 5'6" and 178 pounds. I'm trying to get into 150, which is the ideal healthy weight for my age and body type. I'm just too damn lazy.

I try to hold back on burgers too. And when I do eat em, I use the Foreman grill so it's not quite as bad for me. I still usually eat like a burger a month tho.
God, I've eaten Pizza everyday this week and I really need to stop. I think I spent like 100 bucks on pizza this week alone. I'm hurtin my body and my pockets all because I can't cook for shit (which I'll hopefully rectify soon)

Since losing a ball crippled me for a few weeks and college does not forgive being late in your studies, I was pretty much stuck at home last semester and i did fuck all during Xmas break(we get one month over here) so my weight skyrocketed to 175, but now that i started going to the gym again it should go down pretty quickly. I also got a beer gut from all the binge drinking i did during the break :/

Last time I measured (two ~ three years ago) I was 5'8", could be 5'9" or even 5'10" now. 185 pounds.
I feel I'm extremely overweight since my normal weight is 170 pounds, which is the same weight I maintained since tenth grade (when I was 5'7") but since last January (2007) I've been getting fatter and fatter and haven't been able to get the "freshman fifteen" off (though I'm getting it as a junior) and it's rather depressing. It's especially disheartening to feel the same pants I've worn for years start to tighten around the waist.
My whole family consists of rather stout, stocky people who are also good athletes, but I don't get out as much as I used to - barring martial arts, which didn't do much, I'm still pretty heavy.
