Whee, more opinions and thank God I found that msn page even though it only goes to Skypedia (which am currently on).
Morgan Arc: The basic starting point though I enjoyed the beginning of it during Luffy's childhood days
Buggy Arc: This one turned me into a fan well before the Arlong arc. Seriously, I just love the meancing nature of Buggy on this one. As well the ruckus both he, Luffy, Nami, and Zoro cause around town. Beside there just something about fighting in an empty town that gets me.
Kuro Arc: Eh, nice intro to Ussop (good use of the Asop tale too by the way). But Kuro wasn't really all that. He can move so fast that he dissappers, big whoop.
Kreig Arc: Second favorite, love the vibe of this one from Luffy forced into chore duty to the big send off. Was into it all the way.
Arlong Arc: Tis good but I don't give it that much praise. Arlong was seemed more like a bully then a tyrant to me. Still I felt what Nami was going through and the tension during the battles was very well done. I still can't help but chunkle when getting to the part where Luffy switches with Zoro. LOL, Talk about throwing salt on the wound.
Louge Arc: Too short to really get into but it was nice seeing Buggy again. The chase part weren't bad neither. Also love that full pager when the Going Merry accidently goes into the Calm Belt.
Whisky Peak Arc: All about the Zoro, baby.
Little Garden Arc: Ah love this one since it see the crew almost near defeat for the first time (with the exception of Sanji though his scene more them make up for his absence). Plus I love that final part with the giants giving the group their send off. Very moving.
Drum Island Arc: Killer rabbits and Chopper's backstory is pretty much about it on this one. Warpol, like Kuro, wasn't all that interesting.
Alabasta Arc: Whew, this takes awhile but was it well worth it. The first true enemy the straw hats face and all the close calls along the way. You seriously can't help but feel satisfied when Luffy finally wipes that grin off Crocodile's face plus the character development really hits a high point here. My hats off to Oda, I knew he was good. But he truly shines here.
Jaya Arc: Nice break after all the excitment. Luffy first meeting with Bellmy is a great contrast to Shank's predicment at the start of the series and show that Luffy is really is starting to grow. The part with the apes slows the story a bit but Cricket meeting is a nice foreshadowing to the next storyline. Also Luffy finally proving that his bounty is the real deal to those bunch of idiots is hilarous. Good stuff.
That about it for me so far, back to reading.
