My first job was at Epcot working in a restaurant I quit after several months for no reason at all.

My first job was at Epcot working in a restaurant I quit after several months for no reason at all.
Cashier at a Piggly Wiggly.
Worst fucking job ever. Shit money, a shitface for a boss, rules that were way too strict, etc.
Well my very first job was without taxes, so it was "under the table". My cousin had left for Oregon for 3 months and I took over his job at a Nurses Institute. All I had to do was make copies of tests, staple them, make sure the classrooms were in tip top shape for the classes. It was a fun job, but I only earned $20 bucks….................a day..........then it went down to $14.
My first real job was at a bakery named Boudin. Anyone who has been to fishermans wharf or pier 39 in San Francisco had to have heard this name or at least gone into the store. It was the best job I've had yet. The only reason I quit was because it was 40 miles away from home, and I was got tired of taking train and bus, and coming home till 12:00-1:30 in the morning when my shift ended at 10:30.
Although if I had a chance, I would get my job back. IT was really nice, easy, and fun. Not to mention I got all the bread I wanted, and soda, and food (well for lunch anyway).
Cart Attendant at Target.
Rain, snow, sleet, or Middle Easterns buying dozens and dozens of Similac tins, I was out there pushing carts.
Good exercise, but it sucked ass.
Phone guy at Dominoes Pizza. Boss was an asshole.
When I was like 14, my parents opened up a Mexican restaurant, I worked there as a waitress… Then 2 years later they get divorced and that restaurant goes to shit...
Then my mom opened up her own, like around 2001... it was a different kind of Mexican restaurant, mostly seafood (since she is from Vera Cruz)... I worked there as a cashier and I had started school around this time as well.
My first real job was at a Corner Bakery... It wasn't bad really, though it was one that was in a mall, and frankly this mall was swarmed with rich stuck-up snobs most of the time.... So needless to say, serving these people was a pain in the ass.... The pay was decent, 7.00 an hour and I got around 40 hours, so it made up for it I guess. I managed to pay for school at that time... geez that was like 4 years ago. I did enjoy the fact that I got to buy sandwiches at a 75% discount... a $6 sandwich for like $2... it was awesome.
Currently a Bagger/Cashier at Kroger's.
I like my pay, hours, and most of my co-workers and I'll probably stay until I get out of College (unless I go away for College or get fired)
A Reader/Scribe at the community college I go (as stated in my profile).
It's handy that I work and go to school in the same facility, but my hours are limited to only 19.5 per week at 8.40 an hour. So I roughly get paid close to 300 bucks or so every two weeks. Not bad, considering it's part time, but I'd love to make more cash. D:
It's still my first and only job as of yet. XD
Paperboy XD does it count?
I worked at my local animal shelter for Career Day, back in middle school (only lasted for one day, though). I enjoyed tidying the place up and stuff. Might work there again someday.
Indian Grocery Store. All I did was move shit and answer the phone. I was born into the wacky culture and I can't even decipher the veddy thick accents on the phone.
Data entry/deliveries/miscellaneous jobs for the finance and maintenance department at a law school. I had to deliver paperwork to other departments a mile away (on foot) during ice and snowstorms and would get pelted with ice and soaked and would have to stop at McDonalds restaurants to dry myself off in the bathroom hand dryers so I wouldn't die of hypothermia. Also, file cabinets fell on me. Good times.
Sadly, this was infinitely better than a job I had later at a fabric store.
I thought dealing with dumbass tourists all day was bad
guess I'm just spoiled
My first job was at Long John Silvers. Last time I ever worked fast food. Lasted about 2 months.
I prepared tax returns at one of the large chains of retail tax offices. Paid 11USD per hour; I left at the end of the season because they had nothing which passed for year-round work.
Cold Stone Creamery. A very mis-managed Cold Stone Creamery at that…
That lasted for about a month.
Violin tutor. I used to be doing pretty well with that, though I'm probably going to have to get a job working at a 2nd grade after-school daycare pretty soon, because my wallet's been pretty dry lately.
Landscaper. Cutting grass, climbing trees then cutting them. Drinking tea. Planting plants, etc…..
Best job ever, wish I was still doing it.
I stood outside a restaurant and told people where to park while listening to my i-pod. That was $10 an hour. And then on Wednesday I dressed up as Cartoon Characters for the place and made $30 for two hours.
I miss that job. Sadly my boss left and I left with him. The new guy was/ is a dick.
McDonalds. For 4 years.
I don't think I really need to say any more about that…
My first job was on a archeological excavation. I was 16 and loved it.
My job was mostly to go through the soil and collect anything that looked like it could be important. We mostly found bones, as the site had been a cemetery.
Your first Job?
Secretary at Summer Day Camp for kids 4-13
Love it ?
Yes, alot.
Though I hated losing the ability to sleep in during my entire summer.
Are you still working there
Yes and No.
No, because its only during summer so right now I'm obviously off.
Yes, they said they'd love to have me back next summer. And hell if I don't feel the same.
The pay isn't great, but its both socially and fundamentally fulfilling as hell.
Me working with kids and loving it? Who the fuck knew?
My first job was at H & R Block, I liked it when it wasn't complicated but when there was some problem or some thing I didn't know, it wasn't that pleasant X_x, not working there anymore and not coming back.
Chic - Fil - a
…...People are bastards.
Free food was awesome though.
My first Job was Working the Deli counter.
We lovingly called it "Wacky Deli"
Every member of the deli crew had problems.
Free food was good. But the five finger discount of everything in the store was even better <3333's
I don't work there anymore….. XD
My first job was in a shitty video store, I was a senior High School. We had some of the worst old vhs tapes known to man, we even had a copy of Shaolin Dolemite, which is just an old kung fu movie with clips of rudy ray moore swinging a sword spliced into it.
This job also taught me that Bollywood is not to be taken seriously, i mean, how the fuck can you have a war film with a musical number and an intermission.
Aside from that, and the shitty pay, it was the best job ever, we had no customers and I worked the day shift and you could always manage to get a good laugh out of the losers who only came in to rent our porn but felt obligated to talk to me. It's really too bad that place closed a few months after I left for college, it sure as hell beats working at portillo's which is what i've done the last two summers.

That sounds like something outta clerks XDD
@Hyper:

That thought occurred to me more than a few times in the roughly six months I worked there. I'm pretty sure the indian guy who owned the place bought like 20 large boxes of old vhs tapes and decided to start a video store with it. I mean, we had new release dvd's and some older dvd's too along with the indian movies and the porn, but at least 50-60% of that store was a collection of some of the worst movies ever comitted to vhs tape, like silent night, deadly night. Parts 1 and 2, as well as every movie Jet Li ever made.
i don't hate it but i don't love it either
you ever in a mickey d's around my way
i'll be in the drive thru
so yeah i still work there :(
Trader Joes =P. Good place to work, just some of those hollywood wannabees are assholes and I love telling them off. Luckily I have a cool boss.
Currently I'm involved with working at Gamestop. It has it's ups in downs, but making some kids cry from time to time and getting some games in advance is always a plus.
My first job was on a archeological excavation. I was 16 and loved it.
Lucky! I've always wanted to do that! T^T
Anywho, my first job was:drumroll I was a beekeeper! Yay!^^
I loved it! But that's mostly 'cause I've been around bees ever since I was little, and they're pretty interesting little critters. I have a sort of immunity to 'em too. I guess that just runs in our family. ^^;;
I'm not working there anymore though. T^T I plan on doing that again though, it's fun. Plus, free honey for me! XD
