@firecrouch:
He's got a good point. I remember when I first started hearing that one of the things working against "One Piece" was the drawing style I was a little surprised because it looked so similar to "DragonBall".
In the world of entertainment, I always hear the "generic stuff is more popular" argument and I always disagree. The truth that I see is that some risks work and some don't, and it's not always easy to predict. There are many factors to consider because entertainment is business, but entertainment is also art, and art can be a lot more subjective than business.
As for the release of "Unlimited Adventure", although it's a great game for the franchise that I think will make a good amount of money, I'm still concerned about the potential spoilers. It contains story material we won't be seeing on Cartoon Network for at two years from now. I think Toei Animation and Namco Bandai Games should look into making original games for the English-speaking markets.
**They judged the art style because it looked colorful and assumed it was kiddy, if they were to see the actual show they would be all over it.
as for unlimited adventure, I completely disagree with what you just said there, sorry but making original games is not really the best choice since anime games don't sell that well, and the people that buy it, buy it because its straight from japan.
Its like saying I own Bleach Heat the Soul 2/3/4 but here in america they skipped Bleach Heat the soul 1/2 and used 3 and named it 1.(in a similar fashion)
As for the spoilers, I don't agree with what you said, I mean, honestly would you rather have more characters or less characters? Would you rather keep your leg or have it removed?
If spoilers irk people so much, then wait the 2 years to buy the game.
It irks me to see people say that spoilers should not be on the games because it would ruin it.
Not like it matters, since Kokoro No Chizu/Brand New World spoil that enough.
And so I hope does that new opening coming out**
